Came here for business. Room was fine, water in the shower took forever to heat up. On the first night of our stay, four colleagues and I went to Versailles for dinner. The host was very grumpy and when we told him we did not have a reservation he told us could not seat us. He was in no way apologetic, nor did he suggest any other restaurants in the resort. My coworker asked if we could sit at the bar and he grumpily said yes. We walked back and discovered there were two high top tables, each seating, six, and wondered why he hadn’t suggested them. Our waitress was pleasant, but after 50 minutes, we had not received our meals. I called the host over and told him of the situation and he acted as if it was a common occurrence at the restaurant. He told us that there was one kitchen that serviced all of the restaurants on the property. He said that we would probably not be getting our food anytime soon. He was right – – it took one and a half hours for our food to come out, and when it did, it was not very good. Sadly, we were not the only table experiencing this. Other tables were complaining, and many walked out before their food arrived. The experience was disappointing to say the least.

Planning: I was trying to plan a special day for my friend's birthday, and this place made it extremely difficult. I had to call and email multiple times to make a lunch reservation and book a wine tour - because we had a "large" group I couldn't do it online. I had some questions about the wine tour that are still unanswered. I ended up booking online in two separate transactions because no one ever got back to me and my friend really wanted to come here for her birthday. Day of Experience: At Fleur de lis, one of the women helping our group was not friendly at all. We did not feel welcome. The best part of the day was the wine tour led by Hannah. She was nice and personable. Chateau Elan is beautiful, but I will never plan another gathering here. They might be more attentive for weddings or anything with a larger budget. Lastly, the wine tour and tasting is advertised as $54 pp but after the service charge, taxes and booking fees, it's really $72 pp. CRAZY!

This was a first visit to Chateau Elan for my friend and I. From the minute we arrived we felt like VIP’s. The shuttle service, from the hotel to anywhere else on the property, was always available and just minutes away. So many restaurants to try. We will try more next visit. We did eat at Paddy’s Irish Pub. The pot roast was amazing as were the fish and chips. We took the tour of the winery and had a tasting. Our wine tour guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. There was so much more to the wines than expected! After our wine tasting, Kai was such a big help when selecting wines to purchase! The spa was a last minute decision with no regrets other than we should have made it for a longer treatment. Janice G. and Janice S. were wonderful. We will plan for a longer stay next time!

A lovely experience at Chateau Elan. Food at Paddy's and Fleur di Lis was amazing. Not impressed with Versailles and do not recommend eating there unless you have to. Wine tasting was fun and the wines were delicious! Enjoyed the spa as well, however would not do add ons to massages as they don't extend time to allow for full experience.
