Anniversary get away that was well spent at Chateau Elan. Wine tasting and Marc's Chophouse were highlights for trip. Rooms are older but nice.

What horrible food if one is a vegetarian! Anyone at the end of the day remembers a place not by the nature trails or décor but by the food they ate. Think for yourselves weddings you attended. Your first thought will be how the food was. At the dinner, there were NO VEGETARIAN ENTREES! There was a ton of hot meat entrées but ONLY COLD SALADS if one is a vegetarian! Your chef does not know to make any vegetarian entrees? Then hire a new one. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone unless I hear that you have upped your game on entertaining the multi-cultural society we live in in caring for your guests. I am not bothering to fill in your radio buttons since all those take a back seat compared to food and you don't have one for that!!!

Arrived for an early dinner reservation at Versallies. Tried taking photos of my own 2 teens with my personal iPhone for personal use something most guests at any other nice resort does regularly. But not here, we got swarmed and reprimanded multiple times by security guards, police and the hotel manager saying we were not aloud to take a photo on the entire premises of minors under 18. Excuse me? They are my own kids. The staff and security was extremely rude and just stood there staring at us while we waited to be seated to make sure we didn’t take another photo. The lobby and restaurant was empty other than the rude staff members so it made no sense at all. We were threatened a $500 ticket if we broke their no photo policy. We made a reservation in advance. Spoke to a nice lady about places like the fountain and gardens to take pretty pictures and the most romantic place to eat. She recommended Versailles bc of the beautiful staircase that we could take a photo on. We drove over an hour in traffic to get there, the kids were all dressed up for their gala later that evening and I wanted to take a few pics of them on my phone. How is that a crime and against their policy? But we were treated like trash and felt the opposite of welcome. We will never return and I warn everyone to stay away!!!!!!!!

Chateau Elan is always a blissful retreat for me and my wife. The environment is tranquil and serene. The spa is always wonderful. And Maddi is the best…always top notch service assisting with our stay. We will always visit annually!
