Stroll across the Nový Most, or New Bridge, and stop in for lunch at the saucer-shaped UFO Restaurant, soaring 90 meters overhead, then stop in at the Bratislava City Museum to marvel at the art, archaeology, and culture of Slovakia. In the afternoon take a relaxing canoe trip on the branches of the Danube, or head out for a thrilling whitewater rafting safari starting in nearby Cunovo. Play an evening round at the Golf and Country Club Bratislava, with fabulous mountain vistas from the Park and Black River courses, before returning to the hotel for an elegant evening. This is one of my favorite hotel stays ever. 90% of it comes down to the two gentlemen who checked us on the evening of 30 July. Two guys who brought Basil Fawlty-like passion to the simple art of welcoming and checking in their guests. Wonderful. Apologies to them for the time that it has taken for me to post a review. That said ...the room was a two room (large) suite with a balcony and great wifi. All was good with the room and the hotel overall. Walking distance to pretty much everything but the train station (short taxi) and I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived we received a lovely welcome with hot punch and the lady the reception was very friendly. We were shown to our room by the bellboy who was super friendly and showed us around our enormous room. Our room was huge and we received a beautiful tasty fruit platter and wine to help us celebrate our anniversary. That was so thoughtful of the hotel to do this for us. We ate in the restaurant the first night. I would not recommend to eat here though. The food was average and the staff not friendly at all. The restaurant for breakfast was lovely the buffet was fab with lots to choose from and there was also an al e carte menu . The coffe was fab. Maybe think about putting Nespresso into the hotel rooms. The housekeeping staff kept out room so clean . They did remove one of our robes so we only had one. And for some reason took away our key card but returned it the next day !!!! The room was too hot. Omg the best. We had the temp control down to the lowest but it didn't work to cool down the room so we left all the windows open at night. Would we stay here again..... 100% Yes. Amazing hotel . Walking distance to Christmas markets and everywhere really.

Hotel is located in the old town city center, good access with public transport. The building is in old fashioned style, great wide breakfast buffet selection and a nice caffee with direct street entrance. A very good choice if you do not like chain hotels.

We stayed for two days. The room size is great and it looks recently renovated. The staff is nice and helpful. They are especially proud of their breakfast. I didnt see the reason for that because it was simple and borring like in the most hotels. Would expect much more from a five star hotel (were also wondering where they got 5 stars). But anyway, they are kind and super helpful what matters the most. Just for tip, the bed is to hard! Great size but so terribly uncomfortable! We didnt sleep well for both two nights.
