We stayed for a 3 nights and were extremely happy with the rooms and property. Its a small boutique hotel located centrally and close to the shopping mall as well as the sight seeing areas. Only drawback is the staff who are at time rude and racist. The breakfast is also very average and it seems the hotel is understaffed. However the rooms are very good and totally worth staying here for a memorable experience.

This was my 2nd time bringing a group to the Tulip House Hotel and this stay was even better than my first stay! Centrally located in Bratislava, you can walk almost anywhere, and catch a tram just a couple of minutes or so down the street if you want to go someplace further away (like, a quick ride to the train station!). A 10 minute walk out the door to the left and you are at the Slovakian National Theater and the beautiful old city. A 10 minute walk out the door to the right and you are at the riverwalk along the Danube and the new Eurovea Mall that has all the shopping you could want, and a Starbucks. ;) The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The towels are fluffy, and there are robes and slippers in the spacious closet. You cannot find a kinder, more efficient hotel staff than the wonderful staff at the Tulip. I was traveling with a group and needed to reserve multiple rooms, and Magdaléna was so helpful in arranging them for me. Our group arrived from two different countries, at two different times. The restaurant staff put out an absolutely delicious buffet dinner (Martina did a wonderful job of helping me choose a menu!) for the entire group. How nice it was to be able to drop our bags in our rooms and have a lovely dinner together without leaving the hotel. The porters were ever attentive and quick to help us with anything we might need, or need to know. The front desk staff handled everything with an extra measure of kindness, grace and efficiency from check-in to check-out. I never heard or saw the house cleaning staff, but my room was always perfectly clean! The wine and snacks that were there for our arrival, and the delicious muffins that were there the night before we departed, were just another added bonus. I cannot wait to plan another trip to Bratislava (Seriously, everyone should visit this wonderful city!) and stay once again at the Tulip House Hotel.

We have stayed in Tulip House for 3 days in April/May. The location is superb, really near the city centre, everything in reachable by foot. We were situated in deluxe suite, which was huge and had everything that we have needed. However, we were really disappointed by the personel. Upon our arrival, the front desk personel was cold, looked down on our kids (as they were not welcome in the hotel) and due to that, we did not feel welcomed. However, we have to say some good words about Branislav, who was the only friendly person at the time. When we come into our suite, it was terribly dirty and dusty, there were someone's hair all over the place! After our complaint, the cleaning lady came and cleaned it up, but I do not thing, this is a thing that can happen in a five star hotel. The cleaning personnel was the next terrible thing - they were extremely loud when cleaning, bordering us from the next door (through walls!!!) by screaming, laughing, phoning and similar. On our day of leaving, when me and my husband were carrying bags to our car, a porter came running after us, asking us, if we are coming back and doing the check out (obviously they were afraid that we would flee) instead of asking us if could help us with our luggage! And I must mention, that we have paid our stay in advance! But there is also one bright side among the personnel - the personnel in the breakfast luonge in splendid! They were all extremely polite, helpful, friendly and nice to the kids. They mastered their business superbly! And not to be forgotten - when staying there, you MUST try their eggs Benedict, pancakes and omlets! We have compared our staying to the one in 2012 and found out, that the hotel itself is the same, but (the most of) the personnel has gone worse! We have also missed the pralines on the arrival and the muffins on our leaving, that were nice touch in 2012.

We stayed here for two nights in the middle of a holiday. The hotel is very well situated and our room was spacious and well appointed. We had a peaceful stay; we didn't hear any neighboring guests at all. The bed was very comfortable, and a pillow menu was on offer (which I always love). The linen and the towels were very good quality and plentiful. The breakfast was not a huge spread, but adequate. I ordered the pancakes off the a la carte menu (included), which were really delicious and beautifully presented. The only real criticism I have of this hotel is the washing service. It was a 'by the piece' arrangement and was far too expensive. I know this is relatively common, but at a location that many people use mid-holiday (as is Bratislava), it's always one of my travel bugbears. Given that the rooms have a functional kitchen (which we never use on holidays) including a dishwasher, I'd like to see the option of a room with a washing machine instead. Not a big deal for most people though, I'm sure. :-)

If you want to stay within an easy walk of all of Bratislava's sites, this is your hotel. Easy distance to the castle, the UFO tower, the river walk, Old Town, and so much more. Delicious restaurants and bars nearby. The room is the largest I've ever seen in Europe...and perfectly immaculate. Very quiet, comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
