Great place to base in Brisbane. Three nights there was fab, walked everywhere and perfect location to sample many restaurants, bars and shop. Great walk through Botanic Gardens to South Bank. Must stop for coffee at little pod Brisbane side of the walk over bridge. Central courtyard, pool, rooms, service and food great. Will be back.

We keep coming back for nights in the city, however with the opening of a W and a Westin, as well as the lovely Hilton and NEXT hotels up the road, it is getting harder to return. The pool, foyer and beds are lovely, as are the views. However the staff pale in comparison to other five star hotels and we have found the breakfast buffet and room service to be poor to average in the past. We paid only $150 for a standard room and enjoyed our stay, however the hotel really needs to invest money in building maintenance and its service staff or it may fade into irrelevance in the coming years. Come on Stamford Plaza Brisbane, with a serious injection of funds the hotel could be returned to its former magnificence - it does have the best location in Brisbane already!

I visit Brisbane often, usually on Friday and Saturday nights. I always used to stay at the Stamford Plaza, which is a very good hotel. Rooms are comfortable and there’s a good variety of restaurants on site. However, I decided to find another hotel when I realised that they were charging 70% more for Saturday night than for Friday (most city hotels charge LESS on weekends). So be careful..... watch the tariff carefully and don’t let them gouge you!

We have stayed here for a few nights and it truly has a great location. Very close to many good restaurants, the river front, transportation, shopping, you name it. Van walk to just about any of the important spots. Good views from the rooms. A good value for Brisbane.

We had a four day stay and the very pleasant receptionist an Asian gentleman persuaded us to upgrade to a suite. A great suggestion the room was lovely. The concierge helped everyday with suggestions if where to go what to do and supplied endless street maps. The pool was wonderful but little used which was great for us,breakfast good value lots of choice. The only downside was the th was positioned so we could not watch in bed and the wi fi pretty woeful. We would stay there again
