My husband and I spend 4 amazing days at the PP in September. We stayed in the Crows Nest, which is one of the smaller rooms in the house. It. Was. PERFECT. Yes, you have to exit your room to enter the bathroom, but the hallway is private from other guests blocked with double doors. You'll come to realize other guests don't have a single need to use that gateway since their main route is through the main staircase. It's hard to describe in full the value of staying at Point Pleasant, because it's simply gushing with it. You walk into a painting-adorned home scaling up the staircase. There is a rustic lounge area for reading and television, and another room for socializing around the grand piano. Which, for two professional musicians on a much needed vacation, was a pleasure to be allowed to sit and play without the pressure of an upcoming show. Don't forget the complimentary snack closet in the upstairs by the staircase; we were having so much fun, we forgot it was there! We took advantage of the bikes and helmets for a ride to the very close Colts State Park (remarkable). We didn't even have time to play tennis on the beautiful courts (next time). We were able to soak in rays by the pool and go for a dip, even in late September. We can't say enough about the staff. So friendly and very helpful. The breakfast chef was talented to say the least. The pastries were amazing, as well as the care taken with the omelettes and fruit. Bristol is such an easy ride to other locales such as Newport and Providence. We spent some nights in Newport to see the improv comedy troupe at Firehouse Theater and took a sailboat ride. We dined in Bristol at the Beehive Cafe (so fresh, so good, went twice). And Blithewold Mansion- wow. We have been coming to New England for 25 years and we adore the aesthetic in the architecture. What a gorgeous landscape and impressive garden. You can actually see Blithewold from the PP backyard! This getaway is excellent for mature couples, but I can totally see myself (and my husband even) coming here for a poetic retreat. It's quaint and grand at the same time. I don't know how they do it. The owners are extreme caretakers. Oh! And we completely didn't have time to take advantage of the game room. Sigh. We really need to go back.

Passing thru New England late fall is a real treat with foliage color changes and cooler weather patterns. Add to the magic of Point Pleasant Inn’s prestigious ambiance and you get a special experience. It’s been a few years since I had the the opportunity to enjoy the property but I found it warm and welcoming. Thanks to the entire staff ! Great Job as usual.

Quiet, tranquil and scenic bed and breakfast. Water front with great views of the Bristol harbor. Great breakfasts. Had the best omelet ever! Deer and Turkey frequent the front yard of this beautiful mansion on a private road. Close to great restaurants.

The quaint town of Bristol is a bike ride away from Point Pleasant. There is an extensive bike friendly trail which we only partially travelled since it goes well past Bristol. The roads around Point Pleasant are quiet and scenic (follows the shoreline) so its great place to walk or bike. We used their bikes which were adequate. If you stay between Point Pleasant and Bristol town, you will feel like its 1950’s or earlier. Luckily town hasn’t had any renovations recently. It was only when leaving going North did we see all the strip malls. Close to Newport which made a nice day trip. Point Pleasant feels like a gentleman’s vacationing property, great views and over 15,000 sq ft house. Nice open space nearby.

We Loved this INN! They are so welcoming, Offer so Much, and super clean. It is your own personal Mansion with expansive land and views. Alice the Innkeeper is Fantastic. The Chef's Food his presentation were amazing! We utilized the hot tub, the ping pong & pool table. And if you can appreciate beautiful architecture and a step back in time the Federal and Colonial style mansion, built in 1940, you will love this.
