Reviews for McCarren Hotel & Pool
We stayed here last summer for our 1 night visit to Brooklyn. Service and hotel were both spot on. Staff was extremely helpful with parking and service. Great spot to stay for proximity to local businesses and restaurants. Walked all over Brooklyn ❤️A bit pricy but compared to others reasonable. Great for couples or singles. Great pool and atmosphere for that “boutique” vibe.

We stayed are for an art fair and the service of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming ad accommodating. In fact, Matin went so far as to loan us a table to use at the fair. Room was quiet, clean and plenty of space. Had to stay one night at Williamsburg Hotel...overpriced, chic but tiny room, shower is pen to the bedroom, and the noise level made it difficult to sleep. MCarren was much better

Good hotel. Very good gym for a smaller hotel. I wasn’t there when the pool would be open so tough to talk about that. Call before you book. My rate was 150/night and on Expedia it was close to 300/night. Be careful.
room was ok for NY, given space constraints. very nice large bed, tv. adequate bathroom & shower, even with a complete shower door unlike most "modern" hotels. working space poor, with only a setee to sit on and small unlit space for laptop. but has a minibar which is nice. also nice bar on top floor with view, but we had no time for it. my wife had an accident at a party at a bar in Manhattan where someone managed to knock her wool winter coat off the top of a pile of coats on a table with the inside of her coat landing facing up and at the same time a full glass of beer smack onto it so it was a mess. when we got to the hotel, sweet Angela loaned my wife her own winter coat to use the next day while we got the coat dry cleaned for another party the next night!

This boutique hotel was very charming. The king size bed was beyond comfortable. However, they were having some issues with the thermostats at they had recently been upgraded and we couldn't get the heater to turn off. It was 90* in our room and it was warm outside. We called to front desk and someone came right away. The lobby area was small so no where to really hangout and relax other than your room. We were in town for a wedding and tried going to the hotel rooftop bar at the end of the evening and were turned away because they were only selling bottle service at that time. The bar was completely empty except for two patrons taking pictures of the view. The front desk was nice and polite. Open showers with rainfall shower head doesn't give enough pressure. Would probably stay again, room was clean but small (NY style) no real comfortable seating in room other than the bed.
