This boutique hotel was very charming. The king size bed was beyond comfortable. However, they were having some issues with the thermostats at they had recently been upgraded and we couldn't get the heater to turn off. It was 90* in our room and it was warm outside. We called to front desk and someone came right away. The lobby area was small so no where to really hangout and relax other than your room. We were in town for a wedding and tried going to the hotel rooftop bar at the end of the evening and were turned away because they were only selling bottle service at that time. The bar was completely empty except for two patrons taking pictures of the view. The front desk was nice and polite. Open showers with rainfall shower head doesn't give enough pressure. Would probably stay again, room was clean but small (NY style) no real comfortable seating in room other than the bed.

First I would like to specifically thank Linda Diaz for amazing suggestions, impeccable planning and the highest level or professionalism and courtesy at every turn. I would also like to thank Martin, James and Jessica who helped make us feel extremely comfortable on a V-day weekend. So, aside from the amazing service and beautiful location, Linda and co. found me an amazing restaurant within walking distance, upgraded me to an insane suite with a view, and perfectly executed the placement of rose petals, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries in our room while we were out at dinner. This was only made better by the perfect NYC snowfall that happened that night. For all I know they arranged this as well... I will be telling everyone I know about the experience I had and will be taking my girl back ASAP. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!! Very best, Steve Kohn

A lovely hotel across from McCarren Park, very friendly staff who are so helpful. The room is a decent size. Lacks space for clothes tho. More hangers and hooks maybe. The shower was a little fiddly and it was leaking where it shouldn’t be. But wasn’t a big problem. The tv stopped picking up channels. Not a big issue and sure it would have been sorted if we asked. The bed was too soft for me, it was lovely to lay on, but to sleep it did my back no help. It was my 30th birthday while staying and they wrote me a card and have me some chocolates and sweets which was a nice touch. So helpful at reception. Ask Then anything. The rooftop bar was nice. Carl the bartender was so lovely. A real nice guy who talked to us all evening. The reception even booked us a taxi to JFK. great hotel if you want to stay in New York never mind Brooklyn. ****

The McCarren Hotel is conveniently located across the street from McCarren Park. We stayed to go to a show at Schimanski. It's also close to the L train. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on, though note that there's only room for two people. Rooms were pretty clean too. The reason why this hotel gets a lower rating is because of the broken things in our room. Our safe was broken and the TV barely worked. I don't care so much about the issues we had with the tv, but the safe is a major issues. Still though, it's a good place to stay if you plan on hanging in Williamsburg or Greenpoint.

A little gem in Brooklyn!! We stayed for 7 nights at the McCarren Hotel. It was a small room with limited closet space, but we were delighted with the mini refrigerator and comfortable king bed. Maybe a few improvements with hooks or towel bars to hang damp towels would be helpful. The staff were all very accommodating & we were so delighted to be able to check in early in the morning. Linda, James & Rachel were very personable & helpful. The rooftop bartender, Oleg, was equally pleasant & fun to talk with. Thank you all for a very pleasant stay. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit NYC (as another plus, the McCarren is a short .3 mile walk to the Bedford Subway Station!).
