Spent 2 nights here. Good location for Williamsburg social life. Lovely rooftop bar with views. Room was comfortable, bed a king. No coffee/ tea in room but it was accessible from the breakfast room. Nice pool area for guests that we didn't use due to the time of the year

Hotel is centrally located in a great neighborhood. Felt very safe walking around at night after dinner. Front desk was friendly and accommodating. No room service was the only drawback (hence 4 stars), not even coffee but they had complimentary coffee downstairs. Upstairs bar was a great spot. Rooms were very small but clean, TV could use a few more channels but no complaints. We would definitely stay here again!

We received excellent service from the moment we walked in. The front desk and Brian were beyond helpful and just lovely! Anything you need, they will endeavour to help you. We were lucky enough to be there the last week of the summer, with the pool still open! The roof top with the best view in Brooklyn, and the best location for Bedford restaurants and shopping. A totally unique experience in NY, where good service is standard, McCarren outshines the rest. Cannot recommend enough. Check it out, stay and play.

My friend and I had a weekend girl's trip planned and we decided on this hotel based on price and location. We were not disappointed! We arrived on Saturday morning and Martin, one of the managers, was incredibly helpful and so friendly and engaging, (but not uncomfortably so). Another manager Jessica helped us find a fun place for pedicures for a nice start to our weekend get away. They were both so great and all weekend helped us with directions and gave us ideas of places we'd want to check out to help us enjoy our weekend away. Our room was clean and neat, though small. We had a quiet room on the 2nd floor and a view of the pool area. We enjoyed the meal we had at Thaimee downstairs (DELICIOUS) and we really enjoyed our time on the rooftop having drinks and loving the view! Overall a great time and I would definitely go back again. The location was really nice.

1. Our room was on 6th floor. Disco/bar on 8th floor, active and very loud, with DJ’s and booming bass, every night from 8pm to 2am. Booming bass very loud and palpable from our room. 2. Hotel is called “McCarren Hotel and Pool”. We arrived on 9/22, pool and entire pool area “closed for the season “, despite temperatures in the 90’s for several days. 3. No place to read a book of a paper: no chair in room, and lobby has chair seating for only 5 people. 4. Room quite small 5. When booked 8/5 thru Expedia, room Rae $444/night. When I checked after we’d been there (after2 days of a 3-day stay), room rate for 3rd night listed for $220. Spoke with front desk, said “well, that’s the price at which you reserved,” but gave us $100 credit for 3rd night, which therefore only cost $344.
