Reviews for St. George Residence
Not sure what has happened to the reviews of the restaurant that we found before we visited, but they were all very poor. However we still went there and were very pleasantly surprised. The three course meal for £9 was excellent value, very enjoyable. Service was excellent and our waitress Ester was most attentive , providing my wife with gluten free options for the main course and dessert. I promised her I would put the record straight - so Ester here it is.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel after we came off the orient express and we were so glad we did it was a very beautiful hotel and the staff were very frendly and extremely helpful in very thing. The food was very good and the room was spotless, We would diffently stay again. E patterson Northern Ireland

The place is beautiful and the location killer, but Cold War attitudes and mismanagement ruin the experience. You have to ask three times to get anything done; they intentionally overcharge, and running a restaurant in the courtyard destroys privacy. The boss has a nasty attitude straight out of 1970, and there is no bathtub.

We had been here six years previous, so booked here again prior to our Danube River cruise. This area is very popular amongst tourists, as it is near the castle as well as fishermans bastion and other scenic areas. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly. The free welcome drink was also much appreciated.

Perfect location and very classic, elegant architect (several hundred years old building) and nicely kept. It's kind like live in a castle. The living room has gorgeous furnitures and some other well kept antiques. Could not ask to stay a better place in Budapest. I surely will stay here again if I ever revisit Budapest in the future.
