there is no better stay in buenos aires that the one in the Alvear Palace Hotel not only the fabulous building but the kindness of all employees in service

Was only here for two nights but enjoyed realy excellent servce in the lobby bar, at breakfast, at the Grill restaurant, at the front desk and from the very helpful concierge. Well located (v close to the Ricoleta cemetary which I really wanted to visit but it was closing just as I arrived there on day 1 and was closed all day on day 2 because...it was raining - come on BA, it's only rain!!!). If you enjoy a classic, historic hotel, I would highly recommend this for your BA visit. I stopped short of giving it 5 stars for three reasons: 1) on my first night the only eating options were the bar food menu or room service. I would expect a hotel of this stature to have at least one restaurant open each evening (though plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity - Fervor was great!). 2) the rooftop bar was closed both nights (I was staying on a Mon/Tues so admittedly the slowest part of the week) 3) the (very nice) buffet breakfast was included but you had to pay extra for any specialist egg dishes, again unusual for a hotel of this standing.

Most elegant hotel in Recoleta
Elegant hotel in Recoleta! Rooms were new, bed most comfortable, amenities high end, staff most professional and courteous, instagramable public spaces, walkable, safe, restaurants all over and near center. Uber is very reasonable. Loved the hotel and the experience we had.

Amazing hotel and staff - everything was top notch!!! Worth the money!! The staff is very friendly and go out of their way for you, house keeping 2 times a day! Fresh fruit and a bottle of wine when we arrived . Included breakfast buffet in AM. The spa was great and upscale - the hotel location was close to many tourist activities

Great hotel in a great location
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Easy to walk in a few minutes to art museum and the amazing cemetery, plus a huge array of shops and an outdoor market, which sells all sorts. Room was large with a huge comfy bed. Bathroom had a very deep jacuzzi bath excellent. All very clean with great staff and extensive facilities. Not disappointed we book this hotel at all.
