Lovely historic building in an upmarket part of town. Handy for the cemetery and weekend craft market. Our junior suite room was lovely - spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast in both restaurants - the Orangerie definitely has a nicer ambience; once we asked the staff to move us into it from the outside room where they had inexplicably sat us at a table right next to the waiter's noisy clearing up station. Also had trouble getting the DVD to work and it took more than an hour and five calls to get someone to have a look at it. They also charged my credit card at the end even though our room had been pre paid. So it's a fabulous building but the staff need to buck up.....

Absolutely perfect location for sight seeing as it is located in the heart of Recoleta and close to the metro if needed. Hotel is an old-world classic with a great, comfy bed and fantastic linens. Bathroom was on the small side but great shower and separate jacuzzi tub. 5* service in this property. Breakfast is good but the same every day, they need some variety. Also shocking that they charge extra if you want eggs to order. They provide scrambled eggs on the buffet but if you want poached, omelet etc. you need to pay about U$15 more. This is not in keeping with hotels of this caliber. Although I really like this property I think overall I prefer the Park Hyatt in BA, which is about 1 block away as it is more modern but still top service.

The three day stay was ok but they debited my credit card, one month after checkout, with £209.00 sterling. I emailed them to ask why and they made a false and fraudulent claim that I checked out late. I replied that was impossible because, and they knew, I was with a large party of guests who were being bus coached at 11.00am to the port for embarkation on a cruise. They have repeatedly failed to answer further emails or refund my money. I have asked Leading Hotels of the World, of which this hotel is a member, to assist me and so far they too have failed.

Spending a long weekend in BA and the stay here makes it very pleasurable. Jr suite room is spacious and bed is so comfortable and room so quiet I’m finding it hard to get up. Breakfast service is delightful in the garden room with plenty of staff to attend to you and make sure buffet is stocked. Rooftop bar is good hangout place and tea in L’Orange is excellent. Once you get to know the streets location is good for shopping and exploration walks. A fine experience here, I would highly recommend.

High bourgeoisie charm at its best. Impeccable service, magnificent old-world decor (though not dated!), really nice breakfast. By far the best hotel in our South American trip. We got the two-bedroom suites at 327 and 627 - perfect for a family. Really comfy beds - and I am comparing to high end 5 star chains. Great location near good restaurants and the famous cemetery with Evita Perron's tomb. Highly recommended. Beware - you may wait 30 minutes for a taxi at any given time - this seems to be a Buenos Aires thing. We love the city though.
