Reviews for The Brick Hotel Buenos Aires, MGallery Collection
We spent 5 nights at The Brick hotel: 4 nights before a trip to Iguazu Falls, and 1 after. Both times, our party was split in the same two communicating rooms (1408 and 1409). We enjoyed excellent and modern accommodation, in a perfectly located and safe environment. We appreciated a lot the flawless service provided by the concierges: transfers to and from the airports (EZE and AEP), tour recommendations, restaurant bookings, etc. Works were going on at the hotel entrance during our stay but it was not a nuisance at all. Front desk at this property is made of two separate counters located at two opposite sides of the entrance hall, which is not an efficient way of welcoming guests: you have to choose where to queue and you can end up waiting in line longer than guests arriving after you but picking the other counter. The designated desk for Le Club Accor Hotel guests did not seem to be reserved for such customers; checking-in online did not prevent rather long procedures on arrival; and our welcome drink coupons were not spontaneously offered for our second stay (we got them as soon as we notified reception staff). We experienced a lot of relatively minor issues which is the reason why I don’t top rate this hotel. There was no guest directory in the rooms; one of the room had an unusable bathroom scale (worn-out battery?) and the other had no scale; one room was equipped with the expected Sofitel-style Bose sound station but the other only had a basic Sony radio alarm, which was not set to the right time; bath drain was clogged in one room; room-service order took 45 minutes to be delivered and was different from what we had asked over the phone; turndown service was inconsistent, sometimes missing, sometimes fully done, sometimes partly done (e. g. bathroom not refreshed). We too frequently experienced long waiting times at the hotel’s restaurant, especially when we showed up for breakfast at 6h30 (opening time) and were the only guests: we were left stranded waiting for the eggs Benedicte we had ordered (got them at 7h15). Meanwhile, the waiters could be seen chatting in the Bar area.

Our first night stay was wonderful. Both stays the room itself was spacious, comfortable & good amenities. The hotel has the best beds we experienced on our South America trip. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The bar has good ambience, good drink selection and plenty of snacks and light meals. Breakfast has an ample array of different food. When we returned to the hotel for our 2nd stay renovations were underway with scaffolding over the entire front of the hotel. We arrived late and paid for late check out the next day but the garbage truck and renovation work woke us early the next morning. So if you are planning to stay there soon make sure you get a room at the rear of the hotel. The hotel has a great location close to the cruise port and walking distance to the shopping street.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. A great location within Buenos Aires that is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and galleries. The hotel staff were beyond compare and helped schedule transportation from the airports as well as plenty of spot on dining recommendations. You can’t go wrong with the Brick hotel. The WiFi is great, we had breakfast in the room and it was perfect.

The hotel's location is good, and rooms are very nice.Breakfast was bountiful. We were pleased with everything except trying to send our mail through their concierge. We were told that the post office was slow so we paid $4 plus for each stamp on our postcards. The concierge said the hotel uses are courier, DHL I think, so we paid more for speed. Three weeks later, not a single card has reached its destination. Could be fault of courier or of hotel summoning the courier too infrequently.
Stayed at the Brick Hotel twice during our trip to South America. Very nice place with lots of helpful staff , especially in the dining room.Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds although the bathrooms are in need of renovation. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of food. The Aeroparque Jorge Newbery is only 10 mins away by car which costs around $50 AUD. Easy walking to Recoleta cemetery and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Has a large shopping centre across the road which has an ATM and a large food hall as well.
