We stayed at this hotel after a cruise around Cape Horn coming from Santiago, Chile. This stay was arranged by the cruise line and the staff catered to schedule of the passengers who were at the end of the cruise and staying on for another day. We were able to check in early and could check out later than the usual time. This was a welcome extra which made our stay a smooth transition from our cruise. The room was very nice with very comfortable beds. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel's restaurant which were very good. The hotel is located in a nice area and a lovely upscale mall was directly across the street. All in all, a very good experience.

A perfect place. Staff, rooms, food, all five star. We were there 4 nights. Breakfast each morning was varied and tasty. A gem. Great location in Recoleta with upscale mall with stores and food across the street.

Brick Hotel Recoleta Buenos Aires We stayed at the Brick from 29 March to 3 April 2017 and enjoyed it very much. We chose the Brick Hotel because of its location in the Recoleta and because it was a M Gallery hotel, a brand we trust. We were not disappointed everything about the hotel was excellent. Our room was large, spacious and well appointed. I had read many reviews that complained of an old and tired fit-out. I did some research and determined that the Deluxe Premium Rooms which are located on the 12th to 17th floors had been renovated and we were not disappointed. I found the staff to be very helpful and the hotel’s facilities excellent. It is not a large Hotel, and therefore the dining and bar area is limited and from my perspective they are making the best use of the space available. We booked an inclusive breakfast which we enjoyed and was a perfect start to the day. I do not hesitate recommending the Brick Hotel, it is located in a quiet, wealthy barrio. It doesn't have the verve of Palermo, but is much more central with easy access to public transport and a short 10 to 20 minute walk to interesting areas. Restaurants We did not use the Hotel restaurant preferring to experience what the neighborhood could offer. I would recommend the the Fervor restaurant which is on Posadas the same street as the Brick and only a 5 minute walk and the El Mirasol de la Recova which is 2 minutes closer on the same street, but in the opposite direction. The food , wine and service at both was excellent. For something less expensive and maybe more “street” I would recommend the Liber , which is on the corner of Ave de Liberator and Libertad, less than a 5 minute walk. There is also the Patio Bullrich an upmarket mall opposite the Brick with a very upmarket food hall. They have a Freddo ice cream franchise in the foodhall…. the ice cream is divine. We particularly enjoyed the liberal “ kitchen pours” of wine in restaurants in Buenos Aires , with the exception of the Four Seasons Hotel which is close to the Brick , which provided the most miserly and worst wine pour of our visit :) and the worst wine. Transport. We like to use public transport and we found google maps to be an invaluable aid. We purchased a Subte card (used 1 for the 2 of us) , which are readily available in kiosks across the city and they are extremely easy to recharge. All trips cost a maximum of .60c aud. The transport system is excellent. BUS 93 was fantastic .. We could catch it on the Avenue de Libertador which was less the 150 metres from the hotel and it travelled across the city in either direction going through Palermo in one direction and San Telmo in the other. Don't hesitate to use the Bus System in Buenos Aires it safe clean and very efficient .. without the hassle of taxis drivers. DO San Telmo.- If you’re in the city on a Sunday… Go to the San Telmo Markets..I didn't want to go, but I am so happy that I did. I have been to many markets across the world, the San Telmo was the most unique stretching along Defense for at least 2.5 kilometres. We caught the 93 bus there and back again :) Palermo - A must , high energy great shopping , great food and great bars. Hint If you want to get a prepaid chip for your phone … then see the concierge at the Brick Hotel , I tried to do it myself and stuffed it up completely PS Wifi was very good!!!!!

We stayed 2 days at the Brick Hotel post cruise. It is beautiful, and very clean. The restaurant was great for breakfast. The staff were very helpful, as well as the cruise staff that did our hotel and airport transfers. One floor was under construction (renovating), but did not notice noise .We walked to two restaurants for dinner while we were there Across from shopping center with many shops (Ferragamo) and a great place for lunch in the shopping center.

This Sofitel is a 5 stars with great service and location. The hotel is across the street from of the best shopping centers in Buenos Aires and many restaurants in the area to walk to. The rooms are large and comfortable. The wifi is free. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent for breakfast as well as dinner. I recommend staying here.
