The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is redefining the coastline of Los Cabos. Open in June 2015, there’s no trace of the traditional Mexican beach resort. Sleek architectural lines eschew Spanish tile, and the rooftop bar channels New York City with a tropical vibe. The hotel is still distinctly Mexico – ceramicist José Noé Suro contributed contemporary art pieces, and hand-painted tile appears throughout the property. Arrive to a room dressed in bespoke Latin American furniture and accessorized with special touches – there’s a tequila welcome gift and a set of binoculars for spying on whales, which frequent the waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula.

Fantastic service and dinner at Manta. The view is great. Every dish we had was delicious. Make sure to come before the sun fully sets and get the chicken. Orlando and Gerardo took great care of us and were attentive and accommodating. Look forward to coming back

What a special evening. Manta was our last night in Cabo, and we all wish we started here. We basically ate…. Everything. Excellent, subtle cocktails and tasty dishes that were a legitimate sizeable portion size. Neri and Orlando took great care of us. Thanks Manta!

It was a lovely experience. Our room was beautiful and had great views. The staff was wonderful and we really enjoyed the help from Fernanda and Lenny at the pool. Ceviche and sushi are amazing dishes to have poolside luxuriating in the sun. Would highly recommended.

From the moment you walk onto the property, The Cape has its hooks in you. Luis the bellman always greets us with a smile and takes care of transportation and helping us get to and from our room. We always feel welcomed by him the moment we step onto the property. Cesar at the ledge and Gerardo at Manta are insightful, attentive and amazing servers - the food of course is unparalleled at both locations. Norma and Alba deliver the best massages of a lifetime at the spa. Aldo is always first to bring us towels at the pool and food and drinks as we lounge. To know this many names for the 3 days we stayed shows the level of service they provide. I can not recommend the cape enough!

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Highlights include location, natural beauty, amazing balconies, and layout, staff was hard-working, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooftop is spectacular. The sunsets and views were incredible. Food and drinks were overpriced but good. The beach was not swimmable which is a negative, but clean, private and gorgeous. Fun to watch surfers. They could use some board games, deck of cards, or even a fancy chess board to add to the super fun pool table. Well-positioned elevators, etc. Really well-designed hotel. They've thought of everything. Beautiful gardens and natural surroundings are immaculately kept. Other guests were respectful, pleasant, polite and friendly.
While the concierge is in contact by text and email, they were not entirely helpful. They were unable to help us with dinner reservations. We ended up doing it all ourselves with ease. It seemed as if they were trying to keep us at the hotel for all meals. We were there for a week and had rented a car. Our plan was to explore and eat elsewhere for a few meals. However, I did not sit down and speak with the concierge face to face, so perhaps this would have made a difference.
We were at the hotel on New Year's Eve and they had a rooftop party. Our room was on the 3rd floor but still impacted by the sound and vibration of the base and music. I spoke with the manager and they satisfactorily resolved it. The New Year's eve rooftop party would have been incredible, so my feedback would be to let guests know about the potential for noise before they book - much like what a hotel would do if there was construction. They also brought earplugs to my room immediately after my call to the front desk and they helped immensely.
One other thing that I couldn't understand - no tea or coffee in the rooms! This would have made a huge difference to me.
Our experience with Luxury Link was a 10/10.
