Reviews for Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa
We made our first trip to Cabo in May 2017 to research the area and resorts for our destination wedding. We loved the beauty of Casa Dorada and it’s proximity to the Marina and Town. When we met with Sandra Martinez, the on-site Events Coordinator, we knew we were choosing the right place. We just had our destination wedding earlier this month, and Sandra and the staff exceeded our expectations. The property itself is beautiful and luxurious as was our 1BR deluxe room. What made it even better was the attentive and kind staff. They made sure we were at ease for our big day, and helped create a stunning wedding and reception venue for our guests. The food from the 12 Tribes Restaurant was amazing - and everyone was stuffed happily with the delicious dishes. Thank you to everyone at Casa Dorada, and especially Sandra Martinez! We look forward to staying there again and will recommend Casa Dorada to anyone who will be visiting Cabo.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The front desk employees Adalberto Toala and Tania Ramirez were among the most polite and professional I've ever encountered. Our room was great, we loved the hotel restaurants, it's on the best beach in Cabo. We originally booked at Pueblo Bonito Rose but when we showed up the incredibly rude front desk staff at Pueblo Bonito said they had no more rooms. So we were bereft, and Casa Dorada found us a room on the busy New Year's weekend. When they heard our story, they even gave us a discount. You will love this hotel and its friendly, professional staff.

This has got to be one of if not the finest beach front hotel properties in all of Cabo San Lucas. Perfectly located with a straight shot spectacular view of Lands End. A variety of swimming options, delicious food including the 12 Tribes restaurant that blew me away with their duck enchiladas. Killer breakfast buffet served daily. Equally innovative and tasty cocktails. They don't stop short here, as the spa is also a work of perfection. Fully equipped/full service. I got a 50 minute Swedish massage that took me to heaven and back. If I had of known it would have been so good, I would have opted for 85 minutes. The rooms are nothing short of beautiful. Spacious and squeeky clean. The hotel is designed in such a way that pretty much all of the rooms have that gorgious Lands End view. The Jr. Suite we had also contained an in room, 2 person jetted hot tub in addition to 2 separate showers (one in each of the 2 bathrooms). Dual balconies offering sweeping views of the area in general. Not a place to stay for total peace and quiet during the day and early evening, but definitely a must stay otherwise, particularly if your stay is for the reason most people choose to stay in Cabo. A little pricey, but hey as they say, "you get when you pay for".

Stayed during Christmas week, and had a wonderful stay. Location overlooking Medano beach is unbeatable. The suite was very spacious, well equipped and had an incredible, world class view. Watching the sunrise next to Cabo's famous rock formations from our terrace was one of the most relaxing parts of my vacation. The section of Medano beach that the resort is on is perhaps one of the liveliest stretches of beach in the world. Sunsets from the beach were incredible and the ambience with all the music and countless people was awesome. The service was usually efficient, and held up well in spite of peak season. The pools and facilities were clean and relaxing. Ample beach chairs and loungers in the pool area, so didn't have to play the 7am towel game. The ladies at the kids club were great and kept our daughter happy and engaged. A few things to know (not necessarily bad or good, just useful to know) that I hadn't fully gathered from the website or the reviews I skimmed beforehand: - the resort is on the beach, but one floor and locked gates separate the two. So it doesn't feel like a classic beach resort where you would be able to walk out from the rooms into the sand - parking is valet only (free). So provision for a few minutes, an inspection of your car and tips each time - this is for those heading to Cabo the first time - you cannot see the famous arch from Medano beach, including from Casa Dorada. Now don't get me wrong - you can see the entire rock formation near the arch and the view from Casa Dorada and Medano is just wonderful. But no view of the arch due to the way the rocks near the arch are positioned - there is a little local store about 50 yards from the resort entrance. Extremely convenient to grab water, drinks, snacks, and misc general stuff for your kitchen We will return to Casa Dorada, and highly recommend it!

This was our first trip to Cabo and to this resort. We traveled in December and had a great time. We made some good friends along the way too. Let’s get the not so great average part out of the way: We did not like the "upscale" dining. Skip it! Waste of time. It was cold, food was just average and even a couple wait staff were just average. They were not like many of the others around the resort. Now for the Friendly and Fun part: Front desk staff was great they worked quickly to help you and acknowledged you while you were waiting. Bartenders were fantastic! Something different at every location. They even worked to make something we liked if they didn’t have what another bar had. Food was good. It’s not the same as home so you can’t compare it. It was good and we had choices. Breakfast was great! I wish I could remember the name of the lady that worked at almost every location I think it was Evet. I think she was there sun up to sun down. Evet was bright, happy and made our mornings when we saw her. The beach area was nice and clean. Pools were clean with plenty of room. The activities were fun. Even if it’s something you might not ever do.... just try it. They are great at getting you involved and making you have a great time. I really don't have just one favorite although many stick out in my mind. Everyone was so very accommodating, friendly and fun.
