First of all, I was extremely impressed with the rooms themselves we stayed in Phase II and III. The pictures did not do them justice! Great decor, and large! Although there is no beach access we didn't even care, we were able to layout by the pool with a great view, all you can eat and drink. the infinity pools were to die for and the service was amazing. I wasn't thrilled about all the walking because the site is so big but other than that, I would stay here again. I also liked that there were restaurants at the Marina that were part of our "all inclusive" package so we were able to eat for free even when we were away from the premises.

We had a great time, great welcome and experience in the Villa section of the resort. Very clean and well taken care of property. The restaurants that we visited were excellent. Just a friendly reminder to lock up your valuables in the safe provided for you.

My wife and I stayed at the resort for 6 days. One of the highlights of our stay was getting to meet Cristian. He is one of the best servers I have encountered. He made our stay that much more enjoyable. Great service, great conversation, great knowledge of the resort and surrounding region. A+

We purchased an all-inclusive 4 day package -- were given a room with fairly stark amenities, and for the oceanview promised, needed to be "moved up" from the first floor. That said, the food options and quality were good, and staff generally polite and accommodating. We also purchased Spa services -- massage and facials -- not at all equivalent to the five star cost. Our Facials essentially amounted to washing, face scrub/exfoliation, and moisturizer (which I all do daily); and the massage was by no means to a professional standard of skill, pressure etc. Lesson Learned: Be weary of places which market themselves as resort & spa establishments, but are primarily intent on marketing condos and timeshares; have no beach; limited shuttle service; and staff who consistently attempt to up-sell guests on services. Upon check-out they insisted charging us for "upgraded internet service" -- as their basic / included wireless did not adequately function.

The hotel rooms are absolutely beautiful, and the grounds are very nice. The food was very good - we had the meal plan and enjoyed champagne brunches nearly every morning. I want to thank Jesus Olivas from Las Marias restaurant. He gave us great service. Also want to thank the following people from Los Ricos restaurant - Brenda Lazaro for her hospitality and also Billy and Jesus Manuel Rodriguez Infante for their superior service. It is interesting that to us it seemed like all the the people at Los Ricos and some of the people at Los Marias offered excellent service and a friendly attitude. Although the food on the other side of the resort was very good at Barolo, ElEncanto, and IlForno, it almost seemed like we were in a different resort - the staff were very friendly to each other, talking and joking around amongst themselves, but didn't show the warmth to their guests. They need to kick up their hospitality a notch. There is a gourmet restaurant on property called LaTrajinera that has a dress code of long pants and closed-toe shoes for men. I think this was a copout. A man can look very nice in "smart casual" attire and still wear dress shorts and nice sandals. Concierge let us down a little. We asked one to book a dinner reservation and she said she would call us back to confirm and we never heard from her. We wanted to book a fishing trip and get a shared boat and was told by the concierge that if we went on a tour of the property that he might "help us out trying to find a shared boat." But, when I spoke to the concierge at the sister hotel at the marina, he said it would be no problem to set up a shared trip. Overall the experience was excellent and I would return.
