Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

As the sun washes over the property’s Spanish Colonial architecture, wake up with a plate of Albaņil-style eggs with salsa and corn tortillas. Walk along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins cresting the waves. Cleanse the mind and body during a traditional Temazcal ceremony, where water infused with medicinal herbs steams from piping-hot rocks. Sip top-shelf tequila on an open-air patio as the day fades into night.

Spectacular views and very spacious rooms with comfortable beds! We had a great week and the kids had a ball. Food was very good as well. Billy Wagner served us by the beach and was very attentive and amazing. The one downside was the limited in-room drinks with the all-inclusive as well as trying to uncharge if you sat with a larger group.

Beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez and fishing boats sailing out of port as well as the The Arch. Well maintained grounds and good restaurants. The decor of the rooms is traditional Mexican Hacienda and very beautiful. Even the studio units have stove, refrigerator and microwave with kitchen tools. No need to leave because you can dine at several restaurants or cook in your unit. Multiple pools and free transportation into town to their sister hotel Marina Fiesta which gives you immediate access to the Golden Zone restaurants, shopping mall and the harbor. Very relaxing.

We had an Oceanview room in the newest building. Our room was very nice with a large covered balcony. A pool, bar and restaurant are located right in front of this building and it is the same with the other two buildings. All facilities are kept in perfect condition. Washrooms are very clean and the grounds are beautifully manicured. This is a timeshare resort but we had all inclusive as part of a packaged vacation. If you did not have the all inclusive it would be prohibitively expensive to eat and drink at the resort. We were asked at check-in to book an appointment for the time share presentation but we declined and were not asked again (unlike many resorts where they pester you for your whole stay). There is no beach but there is a lower pool next to the shore. As the resort is located on a hill side there are stunning views of the shore and Cabo. The restaurants are excellent and the house wine is good. There is a fair bit of walking between the buildings however they have golf cart shuttles if you need assistance getting from place to place. You can also take a free shuttle to the sister resort Marina Fiesta in down town Cabo San Lucas and enjoy drinks and dinner at one of several restaurants right on the marina. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. It would be hard to pick one out for special mention as they were all so good. May be the best resort we have been to. However if you are looking for a big activity staff, pool games etc., you may want to check out more traditional all-inclusive resorts.

We just returned from Hacienda Encantada and are ready to go back. It is a gorgeous resort and we were treated like kings. Josue cared for us especially well. We could not ask for a better experience. We are already planning for our next trip there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hacienda. Pros Clean and comfortable room with big balcony overlooking the ocean Wonderfully kind and attentive staff at every corner (Billy was our favorite by the beach!) Stunning views of the sea and really nice lounge areas overlooking the water Great food for the most part (Barolo and the Patio were the best spots) Cons We wanted a king bed but were made to chose between bed type and view (we chose the view) Lacked top shelf/premium liquors which may or may not matter depending on your preferences Minibar in room could have had more options than just beer/wine The overall diversity of food was limited to an extent, and the fine dining restaurant was the most forgettable But overall we really had a great experience. Once we arrived most things were effortless and anything we wanted was within reach for the most part. The crowd, at least while we were there (mid March) was a little bit older and laid back (which we really enjoyed as we were there to just veg out) and anything that the resort lacked in premium offerings was made up for with great service throughout our stay. We thought it was a really great value and we would definitely go back!
