Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa

Hello Team Hacienda Encantada, I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback about our recent stay at your beautiful property. We had a wonderful time and I wanted to highlight a few aspects that made our experience memorable, as well as some areas where we believe there could be improvements. First and foremost, the location is absolutely stunning! We thoroughly enjoyed the cliffside setting and the sheer size of the property. The views were breathtaking, especially from our room on the upper levels. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered great views of the ocean. However, I would recommend that future guests be advised to request rooms on the upper levels, as the large palm trees in front of the buildings can block the view. The atmosphere at Hacienda Encantada was fantastic. Every staff member we encountered was engaging and respectful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would like to give special shoutouts to some of your outstanding team members: Joshua at Las Marias, who was simply the best; Oscar, our server at the main pool for two consecutive days, who was top-notch; Tania, the main pool concierge, who was super friendly and very helpful; and Aretzeo, the ocean front area manager, who always kept an eye on us and ensured we were well taken care of, going out of his way to provide top-of-the-line service. We found the all-inclusive option to be the most cost-effective way to go, and we highly recommend opting for the additional dining at the marina as well. We had a great experience at Jack's Steakhouse, where the food and drinks, especially the margaritas, were very good. The included shuttle service was also a great convenience. As much as we enjoyed our stay, there are a few opportunities for improvement that we believe could enhance the guest experience. Having to sign a bill each hour became somewhat taxing each day. Additionally, providing more umbrellas at the main pool for needed shade would be very helpful. Lastly, our experience having dinner at Mestizo was not enjoyable; despite not being crowded, it took a very long time to receive our food and drinks, which might have been due to understaffing. This was our third time staying at Hacienda Encantada, and we will certainly return. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and for your continued dedication to providing excellent service. Unfortunately, our stay at Hacienda Encantada was extremely disappointing and stressful. From the start, we were constantly pressured to attend a timeshare presentation. After repeatedly saying no, we finally gave in after being told it would be short. Instead, it lasted 4.5 hours. Every time we declined, a new salesperson was brought in. We finally ended it by walking away from the sixth salesperson. This was aggressive, manipulative, and completely inappropriate for a resort stay. We were promised a free dinner cruise for attending, but afterward were told there were no available openings. No alternative was offered. When we asked to speak with a manager, no one would speak with us, which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Additional issues during our stay: • We were promised a two-bedroom suite but received only a studio. • Transportation to the resort was prearranged but not ready when we arrived. • Food and drinks were very overpriced for the quality. • Pool chairs were never available because guests saved them as early as 4:30 a.m., and staff would not intervene or help manage the situation. What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a constant series of disappointments. The focus here seems to be on high-pressure sales rather than guest satisfaction. We would not recommend this resort and will not return.

Incredible staff, excellent food and you can’t beat the weather and views at HE! Wherever you go the staff is always ready to assist and help you get the most out of your stay. Highly recommend! Special shout out to Tania, Brian, Oscar and Miguel at the El Patio pool!

Tania Santillan our pool concierge set us up with an amazing private catamaran experience. Our group of 12 chartered the boat for the day which was great. We saw whales, snorkeled and had the time of our lives. Thank you Tania!
