Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

As the sun washes over the property’s Spanish Colonial architecture, wake up with a plate of Albańil-style eggs with salsa and corn tortillas. Walk along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins cresting the waves. Cleanse the mind and body during a traditional Temazcal ceremony, where water infused with medicinal herbs steams from piping-hot rocks. Sip top-shelf tequila on an open-air patio as the day fades into night.

Unfortunately not the holiday expected: we started with not receiving the rooms booked, had to move rooms waste of my time. New Year’s Eve we were informed that the cost to eat at the resort was $90 USD per person we were four, this is an all inclusive resort! We agreed as the other off resort options also were at a cost. To make matters worse the table they gave us was by a drain that must have been part of the washrooms. The smell was so bad they moved are table a few feet away and poured some sort of citrus drain cleaner down it in the middle of our meal. Needless to say none of us ate and we were in the room by 11:30 sick. We all had to wear a plastic bracelet but every time you order a drink or food you have to sign a bill and give your room number! Why? All bars on the resort close at 10 pm and there is no entertainment. The restaurants and bars are always out of wine and sparkling wine, you are told to go get it yourself from another pool or bar. There were two nights I did not eat dinner because of orders wrong or under cooked. The manager Gerardo Martinez Sotelo informed our group we would not be charged for New Years, they day we were leaving I checked in the morning it was still on our bills. I asked them to sort it out for us we were leaving at 4 pm. This was ignored I saw the manager at the pool and asked him what was going on he informed me to leave him alone he was eating his lunch! My son is still waiting for his refund. Shameful it is all the management this could be a lovely resort. The highlight of our trip was the pool food and a wonderful waiter named Billy

We love this place. So many new additions each year. I have been a member for 8 years. I just wish the gym and spa would be updated. I no longer use the spa eservices because of bad experiences in the past.... The gym is small and outdated.

Service was amazing and enjoyed the Resort. The food was top notch. We especially liked the shuttle and amenities that were available at the resort and in the town with our all inclusive package. Thank you

This is the 5th trip to Hacienda Encantada and we will be back. The setting is beautiful and the accommodations are extremely nice. The staff knows who you are and they recognize you. Rigoberto greeted us as soon as he saw us. The convenience is the shuttle to the marina is also great. Only thing needed is full size coffee makers in all rooms.

We are owners and been coming to HE since it opened. We couldn’t be more pleased with the resort. Each phase has a little different feel but all are beautiful. It is people that make HE great. They are kind, helpful and professional. We traveled with a group of 18 who arrived and departed at different times and front desk and bellman made the transitions seamless. Everybody has loved the property and some are going back this spring.
