Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

I recently spent a week at the Hacienda Encantada resort in Cabo San Lucas. This was the first time I have stayed at a resort where all-inclusive was only one of several options available to travelers. That meant that I had to sign for all my food and drinks. I found it no big deal as I was never in a rush. The resort was quite spread out with multiple buildings spread out over a large campus. It was hilly but there was a golf cart service for those with mobility issues. It was good exercise for me. I stayed at Building G - El Encanto de la Hacienda. The 5 story building was the largest, and does have an elevator. My room was spacy and very comfortable. There was housekeeping every day. The water and other drinks in the bar fridge were topped up everyday so there was never a shortage of water. The only buffet was breakfast. I found the the food a bit higher quality than most all-inclusive buffets, probably because some meals were being paid for. Last but least, the staff were outstanding. At the Las Marias breakfast buffet; Claudia (front desk), Ingrid, Rafael, Teresa. Joshua, and Claudia (server). Bartenders at Il Forno; Alex and Apolo. Ariel at the Los Riscos a la carte restaurant. But my favourite was Margarita a bartender and pool side server. She was a the energizer bunny who never slowed down all day long. She always made sure I was looked after even when I wasn't in her section. They all remembered my name and/or my room number from day 2. They made my experience all that much better.

Beautiful resort with surprisingly good food for an All Inclusive package. The resort is rather large but it was easy to hitch a ride on a golf cart. Staff was very friendly! The beach isn't accessible but we took a shuttle down to their sister resort on the marina, which is just a short walk from the public beach. The resort also allows Ubers to pick you up, some only allow taxis, but you need to ask the front staff to take you via golf cart to a side gate. Having an Uber drop you off is no probably though, they let them through to the main entrance.

Thank you to the Pergola team - Angel, Fer, Crick and Alex - who were wonderful hosts during our trip! They were attentive, friendly, and quick! We were well looked after during our vacation. The Il Forno team and the breakfast team at Las Marias were also great! Raphael, a new server at Las Marias, was super friendly and we appreciated the personal connection. Thank you to be people who made the extra effort to make our trip special.

It is a decent property for the cost but lots of hills to walk unless call for golf cart service (resulting in lots of tipping of staff), were told we would have a $100 resort credit but it wasn't properly applied to our final bill and they are refusing to give it after check out.
