Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

As the sun washes over the property’s Spanish Colonial architecture, wake up with a plate of Albańil-style eggs with salsa and corn tortillas. Walk along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins cresting the waves. Cleanse the mind and body during a traditional Temazcal ceremony, where water infused with medicinal herbs steams from piping-hot rocks. Sip top-shelf tequila on an open-air patio as the day fades into night.

The food, amenities, location, views, and hands down resort workers, were the best. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Arturo and Roberto at the front were the best when helping find places to eat and daily activities. We arrived in an off season, which almost made it a personalized stay for us. Take time to go downtown to the Marina and catch a boat ride to Lover's Rock - it's such an amazing experience and the scenery is like no other! So much more appreciation for the country of Mexico and it's people. You won't be disappointed if you choose this Resort.

I am a resort member and love this resort for relaxation, pampering and sometimes pool side service. The entire resort is always immaculate - kudos to room service and grounds keepers. The Sea of Cortez view is amazing, the workers friendly and service is excellent. Cesar provided attentive and wonderful service by the pool side on several occasions. I have never used the all-inclusive services because I love the local restaurants which is cheaper than the resort food prices. Also, the shuttle makes it is easy to travel into town. However, I have been told on several occasions that the all-inclusive in is a bargain for unlimited drinks - I don't drink like that. The resort includes everything that you need and is a must visit. Of course not everything went well this visit. We unfortunately, ordered the stone oven pizza for room service and fell ill - too much cheese for an Italian pizza. Many guests left towels on chairs for hours making it difficult to find seating by the ocean view pools. Other resorts manage this well. If you consider becoming a resort member, I highly recommend it. However, be aware of sales for other services provided at the resort but maybe not managed by the resort. I am currently encountering issues canceling a rental service that was presented by the resort sales.

I cannot say enough good things about Hacienda Encantada. I purchased a timeshare 2 years ago and just returned from a trip there. I have absolutely no regrets on my purchase and cannot wait to go back. I took the all inclusive option and the experience was incredible. The rooms, the restaurants, the pools and the staff make this a perfect place to vacation!

My boyfriend and I decided to travel to Cabo for a short weekend vacation (Thurs-Sun). I am extremely particular when selecting locations for vacation destinations and will often deliberate for weeks. To begin, my priorities include value(for price point), service, shuttle/transportation, and potentially most essential, food as we wanted to go with an all-inclusive option. After scowering trip advisor, expedia,(insert various travel companies) reviews I settled on Hacienda Encentada because of the consistency of my priorities in the positive reviews. Upon our arrival and throughout our stay, the resort did not disappoint! The views were phenomenal, cleanliness immaculate, service on point, and food fantastic! I could not be happier. I will go ahead and get into the Pros and (very little) Cons to be aware of: PROS -The resort has some of the best views. It is positioned on a cliff and the architecture takes much advantage of this. There are beautiful views of the ocean crashing into the rugged rocks on the perimeter of resort. It creates for fantastic views that you can take in while sun bathing, dining, or while enjoying a swim (Transportation) -The resort does not offer transportation from the airport, however there is a shuttle that departs at two times 9am & 11am, that will take you to the airport I believe everyday. Our flight was too early for this but still this is good to know before hand to take advantage of! -The resort provides shuttle service every two hours to downtown Cabo San Lucas where you can enjoy the sister resort (Marina Fiesta) and the retail, shopping, and swimmable beach. This is FREE (well included in package) -The resort is SPRAWLING I mean huge so there are golf carts that the employees use to get you around the resort if you do not wish to take long treks to restaurants or pools. (Food) -The food was amazing! Everything tasted homemade even the dougnuts during breakfast. (French toast was literally everything) There was also always variety and you could tell everything was fresh. I would recommend the La Trajinera and Jacks for Dinner-you will have to make reservations -Drink menu was on point!! there were so many neat cocktails and options we did not even get to try all! we also had so many shots of tequila it was actually shameful. They had Don Julio, baileys, smirnoff etc.. all inluded in you AI package. -If you purchase the all inclusive- you have the option of eating at the sister resort as well (anytime) There are 6-7 Restaurants at the sister resort. (Service) -TIP TIP TIP TIP!! We tip based off of service and were not stingy. These people work for tips so we were happy to show our appreciation and gratitude for great service monetarily. We had no issues with service and felt like we were always greeted with a smile and genuine desire to make sure we had a pleasant stay.(we also never felt FORCED to tip). Everytime we went to the pool or cliff lounge chairs we were always met with a server nearly immediately, never waiting or searching for help. Very attentive! -Our rooms were always cleaned multiple times a day and we never had an issue with clean rooms. The rooms are tiled and at one point we walked in from an outing and saw drying streaks on the ground- showing that they mop everytime! We were pleased with this. Shoutout to Daysi our house keeper! She was awesome! -Our rooms were also very large- we had the luxury ocean view suite- It felt like staying in a large guesthouse. It had a refridgerator, kitchenette, microwave etc. (Checkin/out) -This was very smooth despite some initial issues. For whatever reason, there was an issue with the third party booking (bookit.com) and the resort. They did not receive the last half of the funds. Instead of holding me up and making us miss our shuttle to the airport, the concierge cleared us and did not charge us for what I stated we already paid. This could have been a nightmare-but it wasn't-thanks! -Checkin was smooth no issues there and less than 5 minutes. CONS -There is a stupid wrist band you have to wear everywhere to show that you are all inclusive-I get it, but its still annoying (Food/Drinks) -You have to sign a receipt everytime you order something. Service was quick so this was not really a time issue for us, it was just slightly annoying considering eveyrthing was already paid for--BUT you can tip on these bills if you do not have cash so we did this like once or twice (resort) -The resort is so huge we did get lost a couple of times. They are also doing construction which did not bother our stay but it makes you think wow how much larger is this place going to get its already huge.-This did not affect our service, but we went during slow season. We felt like we nearly had the resort to ourselves, but looking at pool and restaurant seating it made me concerned for say a spring break vacation or summer retreat to HE. (room) -We were slightly mislead by the "ocean front" view. There was a building positioned in front of ours so we did get to see the broader view of the ocean past the building but there was some blocking. Just expect your view to be somewhat obstructed unless you are in a certain phase by the pools. In retrospect we were happy that we got the room that we did because there is alot of activity in the pool areas. -The rooms are a bit outdated furntiure wise- but I suppose that is apart of their cultural/authentic charm. However, our nightstand had no outlet near it for our phones, or a usb port to charge, so we had to station our phones in the kitchen area which was kind of a nuisance. (All Inclusive) The all inclusive option is also slightly misleading- BEWARE there is a charge for room service after 10pm. There is a 40% discount applied to whatever you order but still a charge nonetheless. We were dismayed by this information as we like to order at night so we never ordered room service -The resort shuts down at 10pm-all restaurants and bars-kind of a bummer but led to peaceful nights All in all we as a couple in our 20s had a wonderful time. We were not necessarily looking to party and constantly go out, but to take in the beauty of Gods creation and have a peaceful/relaxing getaway. When we wanted to have a bit more energy/activity we just traveled to downtown Cabo and got just that! Hacienda Encantada was more than what I expected and I can definitely see myself returning! (especially during a slow season like we traveled this month)

I vacation every year here in Cabo. We've now stayed at Hacienda'several times. I have to say, each time has been memorable experience. The staff is super friendly. Customer service is impeccable and everyone goes the extra mile to ensure that you feel like you're on vacation. It starts with the moment you pull up to the resort. The amazing bell boy staff will woo you with their professionalism. Jesus, Miguel and Omar were three of many that made sure that our experience was exceptional when it came to needing help with bags, cart rides, directions, valet the car, etc... You will be amazed by the rooms. Vaulted cielings. Larges bathrooms with breathtaking views from each balcony with all the necessary amenities. The décor has an old Mexican charm to it (by design) With plenty of character to it. You truly feel like yours in a Hacienda in Mexico oppose to some high tech hotel that feels like you're in the future. The old style (but modern) makes you feel like you're Truly on a getaway. It brings about a feeling of serenity As you walk around the resort. Moreover, the resort has multiple pools. The pool in building 1 has a beautiful infinity pool facing the Pacific. It appears to merge with the oceans (optically illusion). The best part is NO kids allowed in that particular pool. The poolside waiters are awesome! Special shootout to Cesar and Isia! Both were awesome. They provided exception service on the days we chilled by the pool. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a true getaway and have an amazing experience. "Scott"
