Great location for whale watching
This resort is a perfect location for whale watching. It’s always clean and their employees are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are a good size and offer a beautiful view of Lands End. The servers at El Patio pool are very friendly and accommodating. Particularly Juan, Oscar, Julio and Omar. They personalized our experience by knowing our names. Since the resort is located 15 minutes from town, it’s quiet and peaceful. They offer a shuttle to take you into town, should you desire a louder environment. You won’t be disappointed.

Food choices were great and quality was excellent. Free shuttle to Marina Fiesta was helpful because the resort is somewhat remote. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Would recommend visiting Chileno bay beach when there because there is no beach at the resort. Pool selection was great with different temperatures.

Terrible Customer Service - ZERO Night Life
This is not the place to go if you want to swim and have a drink at the pool bar after 430pm. All pool bars close at 430pm. The one bar that remains open, has the pool roped off at 430pm. We paid $500 for an upgraded room for a beach view. They put us on the 3rd floor and did not tell us the elevator was broken the entire week. We chose not to move rooms because they kept saying it would be fixed that day. Refused any compensation. Wanted to get a dessert from one of the all inclusive resturants at 930pm (after dinner rush) and was turned away because we didn't have a reservation. The resturant was at least half empty. Only one place (two on some nights) to eat or drink without reservation after 5pm.

Hacienda Encantada Concierge
We were at the Hacienda Encantada for four weeks and required reservations at different restaurants in the area as well as needed some help with different maintenance issues at the resort. Our experience with Taniz the pool manager. She is customer focused and extremely knowledgeable about the entire resort and different tours and cultural events in the area. She goes out of her way to help the tourists and members who may need help for medical or dental appointments. She represents the Hacienda Encantada with professionalism and grace. We are so grateful to have met her.
