Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

As the sun washes over the property’s Spanish Colonial architecture, wake up with a plate of Albańil-style eggs with salsa and corn tortillas. Walk along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins cresting the waves. Cleanse the mind and body during a traditional Temazcal ceremony, where water infused with medicinal herbs steams from piping-hot rocks. Sip top-shelf tequila on an open-air patio as the day fades into night.

Checked in on a Monday, no welcome drink again or warm face cloths. I guess this is only offered on the weekends? It was a nice touch upon your arrival we missed out on again. Check in went smoothly, we stayed ground floor in phase 2 but still had an Ocean View. We noticed the AC didn’t work again, we have noticed a problem the last three visits so we make sure to check right away. It was quick to be fixed, within 20 min a maintenance worker was there and he had it fixed within 30 min. Our microwave didn’t work, we called about it twice but they never did swap it out for us. Bathroom wall had some major patch work done, just didn’t look good. Rooms in phase 2 are getting beat up, instead of all the $ going to the new phases I think it’s time to renovate your existing phases. We ate off grounds all the time due to past experiences here with food. Stop at Walmart/Costco for your breaky items. The one night we had dinner there we had ordered pizza, what a Disaster. It arrived quite late, they had no pizza boxes so they stacked the pizza in styrofoam, so you can guess what happened. It all stuck together and had soggy bottoms. The delivery person called her manager, they were going to give us a discount. While she was on the phone we realized the pizza was also severely burnt, I mean pitch black on the bottom. They were going to give us half off, we said no thanks, its unedible. She then said no charge but they were closing and it was too late to replace. I only recommend the breakfast buffet ( a bit pricey though) and food you get poolside. Everything else is a joke compared to what you can get in town. Food has been a disaster here since day one, not sure why they can’t get it figured out. Shuttle service is good, I still don’t like how they jam u in taxi vans for the way down and don’t take 5min to do a head count before so they can request enough. Last one leaves Marina at10:30 which is too early. Twice we went for dinner at 8 and missed the shuttle back. Once it was $35 and other time it was $25. Make sure u negotiate. For the first time ever we didn’t have someone else’s charges to our room. Special shout out to Louis and Marco at the phase three pool. Louis was a great server and Marco worked hard and always had a big smile. Fernan was also great with the kids. Phase one pool was hit and miss with service. Plus, all week our kids, who are mature and not young were allowed in the phase one hot tub and pool right beside it. All of a sudden a different manager was there for two days and it was a big issue. I get it if the kids are loud and fooling around but they were sitting still enjoying the view not bugging anyone.

If you come to party- There are multiple patio bars and swim up bars in the pools If you come for a large reunion- There are spacious private villas on site If you come for business- There are private spots to host presentations & meetings If you come for romance there are many opportunities for beautiful memories If you come alone- There are staff & activities to keep you connected if you want to be I like to be active when I am on vacation so my absolute favorite part about this resort is the well-structured schedule of activities, performances, and day-trips planned by the entertainment staff. I went to yoga classes, meditations, salsa lessons, flamenco performances and a trip to San Jose for the Art Walk. Something unique and special was that when I was alone in town on the Art Walk the entertainment director, Sinder, walked with me and made sure I felt safe. That meant the world to me. The staff truly care about your experience and not only do they do whatever it takes to make you comfortable, they really seem to anticipate what you need before you need to ask. Even though the resort is spacious you will meet all of the staff from the restaurants, activities, & various golf cart trips around the resort throughout your stay. They welcome you with champagne on the day you arrive and there is also a send off on the day you leave. By the end of the week you will feel like you're leaving home, a place where you were made important, cared for, and had the support of a large extended family.

While we didn’t make our full week due to passport issues, we had a wonderful time during our four days at Hacienda Encantada. We were on the fourth floor of building one with views of the ocean to capture shots of the whales from the balcony. As usual, our son had a great time participating in the pool side activities with our gracious host, Fernan! We look forward to returning later this year!!!

We booked an all inclusive package and stayed on the 3rd floor of the Encanto building. The room was beautiful and very clean. Big shower and a patio overlooking the ocean. Walking around the large grounds, they were immaculate and very well taken care of. The staff there does a great job and they are always working and very friendly. The views from this place are amazing. The elevation charges throughout the resort offer a bunch of different views that are all great, especially from the breakfast/dinner area, Marias and Los Riscos. The food was the icing on the cake. Every single restaurant there AND the pool bars all have phenomenal food. Just awesome meals and we wish we had more time just to try more menu items. We have absolutely nothing but good things to say and will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic time at the Hacienda Encantada. We were on the fifth floor and the view of the ocean was beautiful. Pool activities were fun, especially with Fernan and Sinder. Those guys are great! Fernan made sure everyone knew what was going on for the day's activities. Sinder took us on an activity called The Art Walk which we recommend. The Resort is really very lovely. There is construction going on because they are enlarging their property which is a good thing for them. We were not bothered by any of the noise construction. Once they are completed with all of their phases, WOW! We did not do the all inclusive because we just don't eat that much nor drink enough to offset the cost. We buy some groceries and eat our breakfast in our room. We also would eat lunch sometimes in our room. To be honest, the staff makes their money from our tips when ordering from their menus. We understand that and try to accommodate them in ordering from time to time. We also like to be frugal ourselves. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort!
