Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa feels secluded, even though it’s still considered part of Cabo’s Marina Golden Zone. At the far end of the area’s development, quiet, tranquil beaches await, and a string of infinity pools cascade down the resort’s hillside. Hacienda’s traditional Mexican-style suites start at 800 square feet – book a Family Suite for twice that much space – and are outfitted in earth tones with handcrafted furniture and textiles from Guadalajara. Guests who want to venture afield can enjoy their all-inclusive privileges at Golden Zone restaurants, accessible by complimentary shuttle.

As the sun washes over the property’s Spanish Colonial architecture, wake up with a plate of Albañil-style eggs with salsa and corn tortillas. Walk along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins cresting the waves. Cleanse the mind and body during a traditional Temazcal ceremony, where water infused with medicinal herbs steams from piping-hot rocks. Sip top-shelf tequila on an open-air patio as the day fades into night.

My Bff & I traveled to Cabo San lucas on August 7-11.Upon arrival at the airport We signed up for a timeshare presentation (@ a diff resort) which saved us a ton on our excursions. We paid $70 up front & received $20 back plus a certificate for our 3 excursions (atv, horseback riding & a Sunset cruise) so $25 pp for all three. We stayed at the beautiful Hacienda Encantada Resort and Spa. We booked our flight & stay directly through their website. We paid our required deposit online ( which was the flight) and the remaining balance we paid separately upon check-in. We didn't purchase the all-inclusive because it wasn't beneficial for us @ $96 pp, per day(we don't eat Much due to previous vsg surgery a few yrs ago). Whule checking in we were inforned that the hotel does not take cash as a form of payment on the resort. Everything has to be charged to the room and then paid upon check out ( which was pretty inconvenient bc we had to keep trwck of what we individually spent). We stayed in the phase one building which had the view if the Infiniti pool & the beautiful ocean but the room only had a king bed and we paid for two queens & if we wanted to move to a room with 2 queens it would be in a building without a view( ha! No thanks but we were not downgrading). Our first day we decided to stay at the resort and enjoy the Infiniti pool & swim up bar at El Patio. The food there was absolutely delicious as were the drinks, the only thing con was that there are bees that fly around due to all the sweet smelling drink mixes that are out. I had to swat and kill about 4 bees & be sure to check ur drinks bc my margarita had a blended bee in it. Another con was that the Infiniti pool area is an adult only pool but guest still brought their kids. Day 2: we paid $5 each way for the resort shuttle to take us to downtown cabo which is about a 10min drive, but if you have all inclusive I believe the shuttle is also included. It dropped us off at their sister hotel Marina Fiesta, and had lunch at El Deseos. We opted to pay cash upfront instead of charging it back to our room. After lunch we took the water taxi to Mango Deck and enjoyed a drink and a couple round of shots before catching the shuttle back to Hacienda Encantada. In coming back to the room it had a old mildew smell that wouldn't go away from the night before so they moved our room to and even better view of the pool area and ocean. Day 3 (we went to our presentation) came back and just hung out at the pool bar and Infiniti pool. Then we saw that the stairs lead down to the bottom so we did what girls so and had an impromptu photo shoot on the rock near the ocean (that's as close to the water that u can get, ain't no going in the water too dangerous). After our photo shoot we we to the room cleaned up and went to the pizzeria. Which I just say was so good. They lit the the fire pit and we just sat back and enjoyed our food and drinks. Day 4: we did all of our excursions this day being that this was the only available days that were not completely booked. We were up by 6a and our shuttle picked us up at 720a. This was a very long fun day for us and very tiring as well but we got it all done. Day 5: time to head home. In checking out all We spent on food and drinks pp was $65 pp Our entire stay. Now you can see why the all-inclusive was not beneficial for us. Because we don't eat much so we just always shared our food. We paid our portion of the bill and caught our private shuttle back to the airport. I just have a few additional negatives about my stay at Hacienda. I was there for 5 days and was locked out of my room 6 times. My cell kept demagnitizing our room key shock they do not inform you upon check-in to keep it away from your cell or anything that can do that, I don't like how the waiters or servers have no shame in asking for a tip once you're signing your room receipt. So be sure to take at least $100 in singles bc you'll be tipping everybody lol. And lastly my bff noticed that they don't change the sheets when making the beds. They just replace the towels and they barely cleaned the room. On day 4 they didn't clean our room at all while we were on our excursions, we called to have it cleaned went to the pool to give them time and an hour or so later when we were headed back to our room they were just coming to make our beds. But we were tired and still had to get ready for our sunset dinner cruise in a couple hours so we told them not to do it until we left for the second time. But all in all, the staff was friendly, the manager Raul accomodated us in swithcing from our smelly room to a better room in the same phase one building, when called to comolain about our key and housekeping situations Arturo discounted our check out bill. Now would I stay here again? Hell yes! Do I recommend Hacienda Encantada Resort and Spa to friends and family? I sure do. I hope my review was informal and can help you on deciding whether to stay here or not.

This review is long overdue. A month ago, July 8, I had an opportunity to stay at Hacienda Encantada in Cabo Mexico. This was my 3 time visiting Cabo and my second at Hacienda. The last time I as in Cabo was a trip with my entire family over 6 years ago. My girlfriend and I intended to go to an island in the Caribbean but because of availability and our schedules we decided to come to Mexico instead and we did not regret it. The resort looked very different from the last time with the additions of phase 3 and the Villas but the service was the same, Excellent. We were greeted with smiles, hot face clothes to freshen up after a 4 hour flight and cold margaritas. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the ocean which was exactly what I requested. The resort is well kept and the rooms very clean. Our housekeeper Draceli made sure it stayed that way the entire week. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to just kick back and relax. I love the amenities of the resort, Infiniti pools, spa and the restaurants but it is the great staff that makes this place tick. I highly recommend you eat at least one night at Barolo Italian Restaurant in the resort. The staff is unbelievable. We ate there 3 times. Be sure to make reservations. We were greeted each time with a warm smile form the hostess and Brenda and the staff of Jose’, Luis, Danel, Felix, and Cuelso provided top notch service. They provided great recommendations on wine and food. They always seemed to be having a good time. I’d read other review were people complained of carts not being available but we never had an issue. Whenever we needed somebody to drive us there was somebody around. The place is beautiful and enjoyed walking most of the time. The staff works very hard and they deserve to be tipped for their services. I did not choose the All-inclusive plan but I would recommend that if you plan to stay. I think you will find it is worth it. I have enjoyed visiting Cabo and especially staying at Hacienda I decided to become an owner. This place continues to grow but it has found a way to keep its small resort charm. I look forward to seeing the additions they are working on. So much so I decided to become an owner. I cannot wait to bring family and friends with us for years to come.

It is a gorgeous resort although being woken up at 7am by landscapers is not a good way to wake up when they are right outside your room. The housekeepers don't change sheets or actually clean anything while staying there. They change towels and make the bed. That's it. Kind of gross.

We had a quick but incredible few days at Hacienda Encantada. Service was awesome, room was great, and the food was also great. Favorites were Phase 2 pool and Phase 3 pool. Wasn't crazy about the pez gato sunset cruise that was recommended as it was more of a party boat but otherwise, we loved the resort and the people. We're already planning to come back next year and bring our kids this time!

My brother, cousins, friends, and myself chose this resort because we wanted somewhere nice and comfortable to stay for our trip, 6 days. We found this spot on Airbnb, and the pictures on there did no justice to how beautiful this place is. It was really breathtaking. I mean who can complain about anything when the Pacific Ocean is your backyard. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Manuel. Ohhhh he was so lovely! His smile very engaging and personable. They got our luggages together on one cart and the 7 of us on another to give us a tour. We stayed in La Huerta, which was right next to the pizza place on the resort. The resort had three pools, and my favorite was the one with the infinity pool. If you're like being in front of the camera or behind the camera, imagine taking pictures by the infinity with the Pacific Ocean in the background. Breathtaking!!! Theres a complimentary shuttle that comes to the resort every two hours that'll take you to their sister hotel. I can't remember the name but the hotel is writhing walking distance to the beach, mall, the pier, and downtown where the nightlife is. It's cheaper and far more convenient to take the shuttle than to pay for a taxi. There's another guy that works there, not sure of his position, but he greets you at your car. His name is Dennis, he and Manuel always wore the best smiles and asked about our day. How we are doing, if we needed any recommendations on where to go. Loved it. Guys, if you're looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend Hacienda Encantada!!!
