our four night stay at ME Cabo was just as we'd hoped and planned for a first visit to the southern tip of Baja. tucked off a quiet side street, the drive up to the lobby and reception does not prepare you for the incredible see-through view of the bay and jutting peaks at Lands End on the other side. we were greeted with champagne and our check-in process was quick and easy - which helped a lot since the shuttle from the airport literally took longer than our flight that day. Cassandra (I think!) was friendly and welcoming. we experienced equal parts 5-star service and attention, and also being left alone to do our own thing. this was a balance that worked for us. our personal concierge Montse had a fun, engaging and thoroughly confident flair and was always available. despite the busy pool area and staccato club beat that hung heavy in the air, it never intruded into the room or lasted late enough in the evening to be of any concern. Sat and Sun were clearly the peak pool party days. our room was of moderate size, very clean and comfortable; bathroom was very nice; balcony overlooked the beach and afforded seats and lounge chairs and a spa tub. walking access was steps to the beach and roughly 10 minutes into town, so access to other activities and restaurants was easy. the Blue Marlin Ibiza restaurant at the hotel was an incredible experience whether for breakfast or dinner. staff were smiling and attentive at all times (I recall Alexander by name, but all were great). dinner appetizers and entres were creative and delicious (black guacamole, grilled octopus in particular). we enjoyed the stay and would definitely return.

So we booked this resort for our annual couples trip. We are in our early forties. Some of the reviews talked about the music but we like to party so we weren't discouraged by that. The resort is about a 30 minute ride from the airport but once there you can walk just about everywhere. Very good location. Upon arrival we were met with welcome drinks and cold towels. The lobby is stunning with amazing views. The check in process was fast and they made sure our rooms were all close to each other. Prior to my arrival I received an email from Ana Maria to see if I needed any assistance during my stay. She took note that we were celebrating three birthdays and that we were coming as a group. We arrived to birthday cake and confetti in each of our rooms. Such a nice touch! We immediately headed for the beach where they had "cabana beds". The beach is clean and beautiful and has food service. The problem is that the beach is swarming with local vendors that harass you the entire time. There is a rope they cannot cross but that doesn't stop them from constantly offering you everything from cocaine to hammocks! It's impossible to relax with someone blowing whistles and calling you every 2 minutes. If you ignore them they stand there until you verbally tell them no. Also we sat without anyone serving us for over 20 minutes although we saw plenty of staff standing around. I had to get up, walk to the deck and ask for service. Once I did that the service was excellent and consistent. The ribeye tacos were excellent. The breakfast buffet was your average resort buffet. We only did it once. We chose to eat outside of the resort for most meals. We lounged by the pool and we're completely ignored as we watched servers be super attentive to other guests. We asked three passing employees to send a waiter to us and it never happened until I once again got up and went to the bar that was in full view of us with no less than 5 waiters there and asked for service. Again once he came over the service was good and consistent. This is unacceptable. I don't like to feel slighted when I see others being openly catered to. The pool seating is plentiful and the views are beautiful BUT the constant LOUD EDM was enough to make me lose my mind. It's pretty much nonstop from noon to sevenish. It's impossible to relax at the pool, your room or the beach because of it. A little variety in the music selection would go a long way. The rooms were clean but the air is extremely loud and disturbed my sleep when it would come on during the night. We visited the spa and had an amazing massage! The spa is beautiful and the staff was hands down the highlight of this resort. Rosy in the spa was a great host and Carmen gave me one of the best massages I've ever had BUT you could still hear the EDM as you relaxed on the spa deck. All in all we had a great vaca but there are some areas the resort could improve on. Ana Maria is hands down the best concierge I've experienced and I travel often. She would text every morning to see if we needed breakfast suggestions. She would check on us throughout the day via text to make sure we didn't need anything. She was truly a gem! I also have to mention Lilli at the beach bar. She worked really hard to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of.

Our tour operator Sunwing booked us at ME Cabo for a week but we were disappointed when we arrived that there was a film festival the first three days at the hotel and we could not check in there was an error by the tour Co. However, Jorge at the frontdesk was excellent in staying calm and getting us alternate accommodation for a few days. Additionally, on our return our hostess Karina was excellent in giving us a room upgrade, etc and being very attentive and helpful for the final 4 days of our trip which made the best of a difficult situation and made the trip an eventual success. The resort is beautiful and very quiet except the weekends around the pool when it apparently rocks pretty good, which we unfortunately missed on our check in days.

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with welcome drinks and a million smiling faces! Check in was very easy and our package came with a junior suite room, facing the pool & ocean and ad dining and spa credit. It also came with a concierge contact who helped us book everything we wanted to do. Diego was so helpful and was very quick to respond when we texted him! When we got to our room, 5 minutes later they brought a nice welcome bottle of champagne because it was my mom's birthday - how sweet! The service is insanely awesome. We had lunch there which was delicious, I recommend the burger. And the breakfast buffet has everything you could ask for including fresh squeezed juices, omelettes, Mexican cuisine, fruits, yogurts, you name it. The pool was clean an d SO fun! They have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays and it turns into a really fun party. I came here a year ago for a bachelorette but this was my first time staying there. The cabanas by the pool are pretty inexpensive and so worth it. We used up all our dining credit and spa credit - the spa is super nice! and the gym is small but has everything you need plus nice cold water ;) The rooms are clean and modern and the view is incredible. I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay here many times in the future. Thanks for the awesome trip ME Cabo - we will be back!!
