beautiful resort and location. shame everything including gym use, wifi, and towel service cost extra. It wasn't so much about the money as the fact that the whole resort experience felt very ungenerous and penny pinching. we switched to a new hotel after 2 nights.

I have been to Cabo several times this was my first time staying at Playa Grande, it exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, the master bedroom has a nice King size bed with its own Master bathroom and balcony. The suite has its own Kitchen the downfall it does not have an oven. The living room has a pull out bed for my kids to sleep and another balcony! Very spacious for a family of four. The pool is absolutely amazing fun activities happening all day long with volleyball, foam party, water balloon fights. My kids had a blast! They have a swim up bar! The happy hour is from 11 to 12 and again from 3 to 4pm I recommend the Happy Hour deals! two for one deal can't beat that. I recommend the mai tai and Mojito! The location is close to town you can walk across the street to all the bars and restaurants! The staff at playa grande are very nice and helpful. Note: you're not able to swim at the beach due to the currents and how strong it is. There is a close beach within 5min walk you can swim at and snorkel. Overall I would definitely recommend Playa grande resort and I will definitely be back.

This was our first experience at Playa Grande. We were very impressed with the property. We weren't huge fans of the food on the resort but to be fair, we typically eat all of our meals off the resort. The resort's staff was excellent, the maid service was excellent and the value was excellent. Time share pressures were low and we will definitely be staying again.

First time traveling to Cabo with my friends and playa grande met or exceeded our expectations from its amazing customer service upon arrival to speedy checkouts when leaving the resort. I do wish the pool closed at a later time however my friends and I loved every minute of it!!! The hotel has activities everyday that lee their guests engaged (if that's what you are into) and if you are a drinker like my group and I then bartender Jonathan and Miguel and Rodolfo at pool bar are the people you want to see :) Muy encantadores y muy atentos con nosotros!!!! Loved their service and how friendly they were so sad to say goodbye to them.. I also booked a sunset romantic dinner for my friends and they absolutely loved it... their filet mignon could use an improvement however the set up the wine pairing and all was beautiful!!!! We met so many different people and our master suite room was just what we needed!!! I would most definitely return to this hotel not only for their gorgeous views, drinks, and SUSHI (beyond delicious) but also it's great location and proximity to downtown!

I have not spent much time reviewing on TripAdvisor lately because of my busy schedule. But I think this is one resort that I must review since the reviews on TripAdvisor have been deceiving...which has been very rare over the last 10 years. First of all, I must tell you that I have stayed in numerous 4 to 4.5 star hotels/resorts in many parts of the world. This property is by no means a 4 star property. It is more like a 3.5 star. The vibe in the resort is laid back, and the crowd doesn't seem stylish at all. Unlike the all-inclusive resort "hyatt ziva" that we stayed in prior to Playa grande. The basic amenities in the room @ Playa Grande like the towels, toilet paper, shower amenities are definitely not a 4 star. You can do way better what you pay elsewhere in Cabos. Wifi you have to pay for. Also the ensuite washroom is not very pleasing since it dates to 1980s. The things we did enjoy are the large rooms (although they have a dated Mexican decor), the view from our building Q which is the second building from beach, the pantry at the lobby. The property is average if rated 3.5 star but poor if you expect a 4 star like resort. Hence in my review I have 2 stars since I was sold this as a 4 star property.
