Have to give a shout out to the best pool service (bartenders and servers), Andreas, Rogelio, Eduardo, and Hector. We were excited to come back and see our favorite staff still there. Our family had the best time, service, food, facilities. We can't wait to come back again!

This resort is very good for family vocation. It close to Cannery Beach, 5 minutes walking; However, you need walking 20 minutes to Plaza Bonita for grocery shopping.

Went to the Spa and was very impressed. The atmosphere and staff are fantastic. My masseuse was Maritza. What a phenomenal experience. She had the just the right touch and worked to release the spasms. The atmosphere was one of the best I have experienced. The desk/ locker room attendant, Jesus, is also worth mentioning. He was very attentive without being hovering. He helped make the experience very enjoyable.

Booked 2 Deluxe Junior Suites for 8 people for my bachelorette. Rooms were supposed to have an ocean view, but upon arrival we were told none were available in the section we booked. We were pushed into a $240 upgrade to a “more private” section that turned out to be a major inconvenience. The walk to the rooms was constant steep up-and-down hills — like big waves — completely impractical, especially in heels. Golf carts were unreliable (only 2–3 staff covering multiple areas), often taking 10–20 minutes or not showing up at all. Rooms faced construction and palm trees, not the view we paid for. Service was disappointing — concierge and staff showed little care or hospitality. Ubers cannot pick up at the resort, meaning another walk down the hill every time. Nice pools and views in other areas, but oceanfront chairs were always “reserved” despite signs saying you can’t reserve them. Bottom line: Looks nice, but poor organization and service ruin the experience. Would not return.

For the second year in a row we booked at Playa Grande and upon check in the say they have no rooms left and force you to stay at The Ridge (Also owned by Solmar) but a10 min walk from Playa Grande. We had a group of 6 couples and this happened to 4 our of 6 This also happened to us last year so it seems like it is common practice for them to over sell and inconvenience the guest by making them wait around the next day and lose an entire day before unpacking and settling in. We also had crumbs and hair on the floor upon check in and had to get our room cleaned again after check in.
