In my last review I mentioned my love of the entertainment staff (Itzel, Viri, Mayra) and of course the always lovely door staff (Chuey and Daniel) but had a bit of a sour note regarding the pool side eats. It appears in the last little while the have tried to improve! So good job on the good and beverage management team! The taco stand is delightful, and the "fish fingers" is made with sea bass! There is room to still grow, but overall I am pleased with this upward trend at my home away from home!

This was our first trip to Cabo and so we did not know what to expect. In reading the reviews for Playa Grande it seemed like a great place; and it did not disappoint!! The resort is beautiful. The grounds are meticulous and beautifully kept. Upon check-in we were provided a free upgrade to a room at the Ridge.Although this may be just an attempt to try and get you to sign up as a time share customer; we appreciated the upgrade. The room was great. It had a nice balcony overlooking the marina. Although they claim only those staying at the Ridge can get to the pools/restaurant located on this part of the property- there appears to be open access to anyone willing to walk some extra steps and take another elevator. However, that did not take anything away from the location. Our room was quiet and we enjoyed the time at the pool. It was not crowded or noisy. It was truly very relaxing. Although we did not take advantage of the all-inclusive food/drink we did have some very tasty small/quick snacks on the property. The fish tacos were amazing! All the ingredients were so fresh and full of flavor. The food from the restaurant at the Ridge pool was also great. The flavors were fantastic. We were also provided with 2 free welcome drink coupons to use at our leisure at any of the hotel bars. Aside from the initial push by the concierge upon check-in to attend a 90 minute time share meeting the resort was truly great. The service was spectacular and everyone was friendly. The location of this property is also fantastic. You can walk to the marina and enjoy everything Cabo has to offer within just an few minutes walk. The pictures on the web site do not do it justice. The place is gorgeous!! The property is one of just a handful that is located on the Pacific Ocean side. The beach on the Pacific Ocean side was completely empty which allowed for a lovely, quiet walk on the beach. I would definitely recommend this place to any couple or family looking for a great place to stay. You will not be sorry.

We were updated to a one bedroom facing the Marina — the setting is very nice and view is Gorgeous from a private balcony. This side of the resort complex also has its own swimming pool - more private from the large complex of the resort. Access to marina is easy walk. Overall, we enjoy our stay. if there is any complaint, it would be the music coming from some bars in the marina at night. I need to wear my Bose noise reduction during the sleep as I am pretty sensitive to noise.

I travel a lot and rarely return to the same places, but Cabo is my exception to the rule. This will be my sixth trip and I keep coming back because of the home-away-from-home feel of Playa Grande. I love the friendly greetings of "Welcome home!" upon arrival. I love the energy and enthusism of Itzel, Ramon, and the rest of the activities staff. The food, the drinks, the events, and the closeness to the marina... I no longer know how to do February without a trip to Cabo.

We spent another two weeks at our Playa Grande timeshare, and we enjoyed the stay. Not much of the infrastructure has changed in the fifteen years we've been going there, but then we go for relaxation, warm weather, and seeing the water. We did see a few whales this year, not as many as in some years. We utilized the maid service about 3 times each week, most of the time putting a "No Servicio" note on the door -- we don't need our room made up every day! As usual we saw people going to the pool at 8 AM, spread towels out on chairs and not return for an hour or two. The resort has signs out, people ignore them, and the resort isn't going to do anything. So why worry about it? We don't.
