Playa Grande is a Definite Must!
Let me begin with our wait staff: Cirilo @ The Ridge Pool, Miriam @ The Sea Side Pool, and Yoni @ La Calima: all amazing, wonderful, attentive, and gracious hosts. Their service and attention to our family made Playa Grande and amazing experience for us. When we arrived, we we initially disappointed in our suite up on The Ridge, as we thought we would be in the lower pool area. Boy were we wrong! Our 2 bedroom presidential suite at the ridge was AMAZING! The view from our balcony overlooking the marina and the Ridge Pool were stunning! The easy access to the pool, bar, slide & breakfast all were amazing! Access to the pools and pretty much the entire property was easy, but the ridge made us feel special. Especially at night when watching all the activities at the marina. We traveled a family of 4 (19yo & 12yo) along with two grandparents. We were all able to easily walk to the marina, a definite plus. We would walk to the bars and shops on Paseo de la Marina Blvd, eat, drink, and dance, then Uber back to Playa Grande. You must visit Hector at MCO Cabo Bar and grab some delicious, cheap eats at Taco Loco! The two theme nights were SO fun! Food was great and the entertainment, especially Mr. "Pitbull" (I forgot his real name!) was phenomenal. The grito contest was funny! Tequila Pirates were crazy! The limbo contest was hilarious! The fire dancers- amazing! And the finale dance party was awesome! Overall a great vacation! Lots of food, fun, and entertainment! A great location and phenomenal staff! We will definitely bring the family back along with friends! * I will say that the only disappointment is that you cannot swim or enter the ocean on the Pacific side of the peninsula (but we knew this prior to staying). Cannery beach and Lovers beach are close, but take some prep to get to.
