Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Adorned with contemporary design and tropical overtones, Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa is a deluxe Mexico retreat with an envious beachfront locale. The residential-style villa suites, which offer studio spaces or multi-bedroom adobes, feature convenient kitchens, sleek marble floors, warm wood tones and garden view or ocean-facing balconies. The property, laced with leafy palms and resonating with the sound of trickling fountains and waterfalls, is a peaceful oasis for the entire family. Allow the concierge to anticipate your pre-arrival needs by stocking the pantry with all of your favorites, or arranging for the chef to prepare an in-suite meal as part of a special celebration.

The resort sits on the sands of El Medano Beach in view of the famed El Arco rock formations, where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez collide. Reserve a table at La Perla Restaurant, where the seaside views are as tantalizing as the meal itself. For those who enjoy the buzz of conversation and laughter, El Faro Restaurant has an oyster, sushi and tequila bar, and is the place to be. The Buccaneer is a pirate-themed bar offering refreshing cocktails and a casual meal of burgers and wraps. The resort's full-service spa is nothing short of spectacular, and is designed to re-energize and rejuvenate muscles and pressure points. Activity options range from pool volleyball and off-site angling to nearby golfing and horseback riding. A perfect tropical paradise waits adjacent to meticulously groomed, white sand beaches at Villa del Arco Resort & Spa.

We visited the sports bar every night either for dinner or a nightcap after dinner. Our waiter, Alex, was excellent!! He went above and beyond every time we were there and he was working. That is why we came back night after night!!

The hotel was beautiful, kept up to perfection and it was just steps to the beach. We took all our grandkids and they loved it. They went from the warm pool to the beach, to the ocean and back. The service was top notch and everyone was so helpful and welcoming. Our stay would not have been the same without Misael, the manager. He knows everyone, helps everyone and to him customer service is key. Heriberto, the pool manager went out of his way for everyone, too. We loved it and if you go, so will you!

We were actually staying at another resort, and got in contact with Newton and Shelby at Villa Del Arco through a representative at the airport. They were the most awesome sales team we have ever worked with. They understood our needs and worked with us until they found a package that would work wonderfully for us! It probably helped that my husband and his friend Rick fell in love with Shelby and her awesome personality!! We have been through several presentations over the years and walked out of everyone of them disatisfied and disallusioned. But these two rocked, were fun, and responsive to our concerns. We hope to see them next year when we return. Mike and Margo Pray, Rick and Carla Campbell

It saddens me to have to write this review as the resort is beautiful. We recently brought a group of people to Cabo and the first 3 evenings were great but on the final evening, one of our guests returned from our group dinner (about 9pm) to find a naked, intoxicated or drugged woman in their bedroom bathtub and there was evidence that a man had been in the room with her as well. They had not left their door unlocked, she had either used the key she had been issued by the front desk (she had lost her key and just got a new one at the front desk and that key was never located) or was let in my someone at the hotel. Our guests spent their entire last evening of vacation dealing with getting her dressed and pulled together, and attempting to work with Security. Needless to say, it was extremely upsetting to them and the rest of us that were traveling with them and could have ended very badly for this young woman had she been found by someone else with ill intent. It was a very unfortunate situation and the resort management response has been very disappointing. They have been unresponsive, promising to return phone calls but not doing so. The craziness of College Spring Break (which lasts weeks) is centered just a very short beach walk away with a TREMENDOUS number of drunk people filling the beach and many drinking out of glass bottles over the sand. I love Mexico and have traveled there many, many times without incident. If Management had been responsive and returned my calls/emails I would be inclined to be more dismissive, but since they have had plenty of time to respond to me and have declined to do so, it has raised my concerns that this may not be an uncommon problem. I am a regular Trip Advisor contributor. I rely on others reviews to plan my trips so I feel a duty to give honest and prompt reviews on my experiences. Out of courtesy to the hotel, I held off reviewing this resort in hopes of resolution. This is the first review I have ever had to write concerning safety at at resort.

Just spent 3 weeks at del Arco. Had a spectacular time. Have been to Cabo many times so only did a few "tourist type" activities. Wave Runners, trip to Todos Santos, etc. We went to many of our favorite eateries like Tobascos, The Office, Gordo LeLe's, La GoLINDRINA, Salvatores, Mamas etc. The resort has so much to offer and a staff that will do anything to help make sure your time is the best! It's a very clean resort, has a wonderful spa with an attached work out gym, beach and pool activities anyone is welcome to join in. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the entire staff from those that sweep the sand from the steps to the COO. They're fabulous. If you dont have a great time it's about you not the resort. My only caution would be to consider avoiding college spring break.
