Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Adorned with contemporary design and tropical overtones, Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa is a deluxe Mexico retreat with an envious beachfront locale. The residential-style villa suites, which offer studio spaces or multi-bedroom adobes, feature convenient kitchens, sleek marble floors, warm wood tones and garden view or ocean-facing balconies. The property, laced with leafy palms and resonating with the sound of trickling fountains and waterfalls, is a peaceful oasis for the entire family. Allow the concierge to anticipate your pre-arrival needs by stocking the pantry with all of your favorites, or arranging for the chef to prepare an in-suite meal as part of a special celebration.

The resort sits on the sands of El Medano Beach in view of the famed El Arco rock formations, where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez collide. Reserve a table at La Perla Restaurant, where the seaside views are as tantalizing as the meal itself. For those who enjoy the buzz of conversation and laughter, El Faro Restaurant has an oyster, sushi and tequila bar, and is the place to be. The Buccaneer is a pirate-themed bar offering refreshing cocktails and a casual meal of burgers and wraps. The resort's full-service spa is nothing short of spectacular, and is designed to re-energize and rejuvenate muscles and pressure points. Activity options range from pool volleyball and off-site angling to nearby golfing and horseback riding. A perfect tropical paradise waits adjacent to meticulously groomed, white sand beaches at Villa del Arco Resort & Spa.

We recently traveled to Villa del Arco as a family of 8 members including my 2 year old granddaughter. We had a number of concerns going to Cabo with all of the media attention the area has received. We did venture in to town a couple of times and never felt unsafe or in danger at any time. Ate at the breakfast buffet almost every morning and have to give a great big thank you to Felix and Flavio for the great service we received from them both! They remembered what we liked to drink every time and were very friendly and attentive. At the pool Eduardo was our server a couple of the days and he deserves a huge thank you! He remembered all of our names, our room numbers and what we liked to drink! He was always checking in and went above and beyond! With our little one we needed to stay at the shallower pool and their rotation took him to a different section which was a huge bummer! We had most of our evening meals on site and had great food and service at all of the restaurants! Unfortunately we did have a couple of negatives! There was a water issue in our room the 2nd day of our trip and we let the desk know early in the morning. We went about our day, spending most of it at the pool at the resort. We got back to our room around 3:30 in the afternoon with plans to get ready to go out to dinner with a 5:00 reservation and we had no water and housekeeping had not been in. My husband checked with the desk and they said housekeeping hadn't gone in because there was no water and they did not have a time that we would have water back on. That didn't make sense to me so I checked with the desk and they said that they weren't even aware that we didn't have water until my husband let them know and that it could be 3 - 4 hours before we had water. Our daughter and her family had another room at the resort so we all showered in their room and came back to our room to get ready and the water was back on. Very confusing information all the way around. The manager then stopped by our room to let us know that they were going to have to move us the next day and he would let us know where to. After we had breakfast the next day we checked with the front desk to see what time we needed to move so we could get ready and they told us that they weren't going to move us after all. We just feel that communication regarding this could have been handled much better!

From the moment you enter the beautiful ocean view lobby of this resort you will feel like you have found paradise! The entire staff will greet you with smiles and a great attitude. We are members of the resort and always look forward to our extended stay each winter. Through the years we have met and come to know many of the staff and they always remember their returning guests. New guests are given the same level of service as well. The resort is directly on the beach overlooking the famous Lands End and the beautiful Sea of Cortez. There are many wonderful restaurants, both at the resort and within walking distance or short cab or bus ride into town. The weather is ideal with sunshine and warm temperatures almost every day! It is a great place to just relax or enjoy activities at the resort or in the area. Whale watching is always a great adventure and usually with lots of whale activity. The entire staff, bellman Paul and Oscar and friends, front desk Alexjandra and Antonio, concierges Vickie and Erika and Fernanda, housekeeping Socorro and especially Heriberto and his cohort Jorge at the pool will brighten your day with smiles and treats each day! Special mention especially goes to Misael the guest services manager . He does a phenomenal job motivating his staff by setting a great example of the meaning of customer service! He always has a huge smile and a can do attitude in a job that is not always easy to keep everyone happy! We would definitely recommend this resort and any of the Villa Group properties.

First , this is a beautiful resort , staff was friendly , extremely clean , really appreciated the fact that they barricaded off the vendors from the front of resort . The downside for me was the presentation , there was a lot of half truths , missing information , and pressure to make a "its just too good of a deal to pass up " decision when you have only been there for a few hours (We arrived late Friday , and got out presentation Saturday morning) . When I questioned their numbers , they got agitated , and tried to convince me I was wrong .. I was not ... We had intentions of buying a time share , but after they figured I was too STUPID to see all the costs , we opted to look elsewhere . If we were just presented the real facts , with real numbers , and were explained properly how the point worked , we would have bought .. the smoke and mirrors just simply pissed me off . I also did not like that we had to buy the all inclusive for three days in a row , while the $210 (for both of us was high) we would have got if we could spread out , sit around the resort for a day , go explore for a day sort of thing .. I found the resort very much like a cruise ship on land .. get you in .. then extrapolate as much as you can . The drinks were expensive $10 non happy hour $5 off happy hour , and food was average , tried all the eatery's nothing was "spectacular " buy any means for a high end resort. Will most likely not be back .

A very quiet hotel. Second bathroom does not have a shower in our 1 bedroom suite. So if you intend having the lounge convert to a bedroom at night for your kids you all share one shower + a bath that’s not a bath more like a old jacuzzi. Our room had a big bath with no faucet. We worked out that it was some old type of jacuzzi. Water slowly ran out of 2 jacuzzi spout. Seriously ? ....... Housekeeping was ok however did not replace all items from the vanity on a daily basis. The right hand side building blocks the sun from the pool early in the day and the room service was average. Items from the room service mini bar were very low and well priced. Overall very dull.

I love Cabo San Lucas. Mostly, I think because of the people who work at Villa del Arco and Villa del Palmar. I have been visiting two or three times a year staying at either place and visiting the Desert Spa for a facial and massages. I am treated, and told, that I am "family".I My arrival is greeting by a sincere "Welcome back Mrs. Campbell", The bellmen at both resorts are especially welcoming and helpful. This visit I got to know Paul Hernandez at Arco and could count on him to open doors, secure a taxi, suggest a restaurant, whatever I needed. Each morning I would go to El Patron at Villa del Arco for the breakfast buffet. Two waiters took particularly good care of me, knowing that I drank black tea with honey and creme, green juice, and bottled water. They are Rogolio and Felix. When you go there tell them Mrs Campbell sent you.
