Adorned with contemporary design and tropical overtones, Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa is a deluxe Mexico retreat with an envious beachfront locale. The residential-style villa suites, which offer studio spaces or multi-bedroom adobes, feature convenient kitchens, sleek marble floors, warm wood tones and garden view or ocean-facing balconies. The property, laced with leafy palms and resonating with the sound of trickling fountains and waterfalls, is a peaceful oasis for the entire family. Allow the concierge to anticipate your pre-arrival needs by stocking the pantry with all of your favorites, or arranging for the chef to prepare an in-suite meal as part of a special celebration.

We stayed at Villa del Arco for five nights, and unfortunately our overall experience was very disappointing. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was because it was advertised as having one of the few swimmable beaches in Cabo. In our experience, that was absolutely not the case. The water was dirty, the waves were very strong, and it did not feel safe to swim at all. Shortly after check-in, we were approached about attending what they described as a roughly 90-minute timeshare presentation. In exchange, they offered discounted activities such as a pirate ship trip, snorkeling, and jet ski rides. They also told us that transportation to the marina would need to be paid separately. For example, they offered a jet ski ride for around $60 as a special discounted price connected to attending the presentation. However, we later got jet ski rides directly from the beach for about $50 per person without attending any presentation. We initially said no several times, but the staff kept approaching us, asking again, and trying to convince us. Eventually, a supervisor named Hilda came over and acted very friendly and persuasive, so we finally agreed. That turned into a nightmare. The supposed 90-minute presentation lasted approximately 2.5 hours. It became an extremely aggressive sales pitch for a very expensive long-term travel/vacation membership, including HOA-type fees, monthly payments, and financing at around 14% interest. They continued changing the offer and trying different prices even after we repeatedly made it clear that we were not interested. After we finally declined the package, their attitude completely changed. When we asked to schedule the activities we had been promised for attending the presentation, we were told they were too busy and the activities could only be scheduled for Saturday. The problem was that our trip ended on Friday. So after wasting approximately 2.5 hours of our vacation sitting through their sales presentation, the activities they used to convince us to attend were suddenly not available until after we had already checked out. That made the entire experience feel extremely misleading and dishonest. The only genuinely great part of our stay was the view from our room, but that was because we specifically paid significantly more for a room with that view. The food was also very disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. The overall food quality was poor, although the fruit was good. The pools also did not seem very clean, even though we visited during a relatively quiet period and there were not many people using them. Another major issue was the attitude of the hotel staff. With the exception of the servers, whom we found pleasant and helpful, many of the other staff members we interacted with were extremely rude and unwelcoming. This made an already disappointing stay even worse. Overall, between the misleading description of the beach, the dirty and unsafe swimming conditions, the extremely pushy timeshare sales tactics, the 90-minute presentation turning into 2.5 hours, the promised activities being unavailable until after our departure, the poor food quality, the condition of the pools, and the rude treatment from much of the hotel staff, we would definitely not return to Villa del Arco and would not recommend this resort.

We have been going to Villa Arco since 2017. When we visit we love the fact that the people there treat you like family. One person especially is Elizabeth from ElPatrone restaurant. We have seen her there since we started and seeing each other always starts with a smile and hug! Love it, love the people there! Thank for the warm heart feeling!

Mariano was our bell boy. He was very helpful bringing up 5 adults’ luggage. He also helped us get taxis and always had change. Tip him well. He will save you money on taxis and activities. 👍😎🖖🍀🗽🇲🇽

From start to finish, it's always a great time here! From Javier - the best cocktail slinger at the pool; To Mariano - has been wonderfully arranging transportation for the 10 years I've been coming!
