Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Adorned with contemporary design and tropical overtones, Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa is a deluxe Mexico retreat with an envious beachfront locale. The residential-style villa suites, which offer studio spaces or multi-bedroom adobes, feature convenient kitchens, sleek marble floors, warm wood tones and garden view or ocean-facing balconies. The property, laced with leafy palms and resonating with the sound of trickling fountains and waterfalls, is a peaceful oasis for the entire family. Allow the concierge to anticipate your pre-arrival needs by stocking the pantry with all of your favorites, or arranging for the chef to prepare an in-suite meal as part of a special celebration.

The resort sits on the sands of El Medano Beach in view of the famed El Arco rock formations, where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez collide. Reserve a table at La Perla Restaurant, where the seaside views are as tantalizing as the meal itself. For those who enjoy the buzz of conversation and laughter, El Faro Restaurant has an oyster, sushi and tequila bar, and is the place to be. The Buccaneer is a pirate-themed bar offering refreshing cocktails and a casual meal of burgers and wraps. The resort's full-service spa is nothing short of spectacular, and is designed to re-energize and rejuvenate muscles and pressure points. Activity options range from pool volleyball and off-site angling to nearby golfing and horseback riding. A perfect tropical paradise waits adjacent to meticulously groomed, white sand beaches at Villa del Arco Resort & Spa.

We spent 3 nights over the thanksgiving holiday with my wife and 2 older teens. We went because we got a great deal on a 2 bedroom unit with all-inclusive. First of all the room was amazing. Travertine floors, beautiful wood moldings, full kitchen, huge balconies with lots of furniture. Unfortunately that is the highlight. The food at all the restaurants was just ok at best. Some food like chicken tacos were greasy and almost inedible by hand. Getting a chairs by the pool after 9 am was almost impossible as they were all saved. The breakfast buffet ran out of things everyday, from French toast, to plates, or even bacon. Not once breakfast was enjoyable. The service around the pools was ok as it was mostly slow even though we tipped everyday. This is a timeshare property first and foremost and if you’re not, oh well. Sorry, probably will try another property next time.

We always love our stay at the Arco! The people there have become our family. We have been visiting there for ten years and we are never disappointed. Paul Hernandez, the bell boy, is there to greet us when we arrived. He is always happy and helpful and he came by before we left to say good bye. Lety, at the pool, was our favorite server. She is helpful and a joy. Olivas at El Patron went above and beyond to take care of our family!

Beware of the high pressure sales pitch and anything to do with The Villa Group and Universal Vacation Club. I paid $3000 for a trial that would give me 5 weeks over 3 years in suite. So far I have not been able to book a thing and can't seem to get any clear answers. Except that I have to return to the resort at some point to get my certificates. Which I did do but now I'm being told I must return again to get the actual certificates. Which seem to be worthless. I am awaiting a call back from a supervisor, but if my interactions to date have been any indication, I'm not going to hold my breath. Very disappointing.

My husband and I attended presentation by Ricky Leon. He was so good, we end up buying a vacation package from Him for 50 years. Have not tried the package yet, because we just bought it. Hope our future vacations with Villa Group will be fantastic as our friend Ricky described. Ricky is really takes care of his customers, he babysat our daughter and took us to the airport. Thank you, Ricky for all your help. Olga, Dima and Alisa

My family and I stayed at Villa del Arco for a week and had a blast! The resort offers plenty of options to entertain any age. When we were poolside, our family was served by Eduardo, who I wish I could have taken home with us because he treated us so well! Even days that we were not in his section he would check on us and ask how our day was going. It’s the kind servers like Eduardo that made our experience so enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this resort as a vacation spot!
