Hilton Cairns

The check in process was long. The partial ocean view room was nice, but the room was damp which made the bathroom floor wet and kept clothes damp. The building itself is nice, the location is ideal, the breakfast buffet had something for everyone.

We stayed for 4 nights. Room was ok but it was 4 of us and we have been given only 2 towels and none toilet paper. After urging it took 2 days to fix it. Breaky was fine but a little bit disorganized but otherwise good food. Parking of the car was great and efficient. The pool was big and great to play games with kids.table tennis would be great to have some new rackets as it was old and broken. Location just next to the waterfront and great restaurants.

This hotel is in a great location and has some of the best rooms. Mr. Alvin Kwok at the front desk made our check in an absolutely fantastic experience. He recognized the Diamond status and made sure to get the best available room as we arrived early morning. The room was one of the best designed with enough space, closets, work table and of course a view of the water and mountains. A few minutes walk is the Esplanade and the board walk with great restaurants. The lounge on the 9th floor has very good food and the staff there were incredibly nice and pleasant. Very easy walk to downtown and shopping and restaurants. Would certainly go back and recommend.

Upon arrival, Alvin gave us the most beautiful ocean mountain sunrise view, He listened to us and went beyond, which I really appreciate. and there were even fireworks one of the nights that was stunning out on the water. Not sure what it was for, but we loved it. And then Brittany and Peter at front desk being printed out some business paperwork in a large print format that I needed and he did such a great job. They were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Anne and Kiki so kind with such a beautiful smile and took care of us so well. You can ask for custom-made eggs at your table free of charge along with the buffet and the cappuccino was good. Black coffee was OK. Kiki was the most amazing server. Fantastic location walkable to the boat tour that was an encounter that was amazing and to the casino pick up for our sky rail tour. And right there at the Esplanade for the quaint city of CAIRNS amazing location, location location

My wife and I stayed in an executive suite on the 9th floor. We hadn’t stayed here before and definitely will again. The room was spacious and and very clean with great views of the inlet. There was a fantastic breeze on the balcony, so we stayed for a while watching the reef charter boats coming back from their day at the reef. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was up to the task of cooling the quite large room considering the very hot weather we’ve been experiencing lately. We had evening canapes and drinks in the executive lounge where there was a good selection of nibbles and beverages available. Breakfast the next morning was excellent with a vast array of international tastes catered for. Check in was easy and executed by a very professional gentleman named Peter.
