Hilton Cairns

This is a nice hotel. Rooms overlooking the sea/river. Staff very nice. Breakfast can be a bit busy so choice your times well. Easy to walk into town and restaurant. We were given a sea view room but right in front of us was a building used for weddings. Asked at reception if we could be moved. Not a problem. A big thanks to Yuko and Alexandra for make in room change possible. Very nice ladies.

Great hotel - with cool scenery and close to snorkeling. Friendly staff and close to restaurants on boardwalk. I highly recommend - the special access we got (forgot what it was called but access to breakfast and the like) were solid.

Excellent location Lovely welcoming foyer and off the road pick up and drop off Room are a great size and full size fridge coffee pods and kettle Very clean No noise considering it’s a busy hotel in the centre of town Service was excellent bar could have stayed open later Gym was great and this is a minor thing young children in the gym on the machines with no adult. I understand it’s a parents responsibility but maybe a reminder with a sign Pool and jacuzzi were great under cover area and outdoor area On a whole would definitely recommend We didn’t have children but the mini breakfast station would have been a highlight for our children and they can make their own pancakes with little hands equipment plastic bowls cups and chopped up food and veg was very impressive

Enjoyed a very nice 3-night stay, and hotel was terrific. For context, we traveled with two large suitcases for a several week trip Down Under. This shaped our view of room sizes and bathroom counter space. What we liked: - Truly top-notch customer service. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff went well above and beyond for us in unscrambling an activity reservation. - Room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. It offers large “US sized” rooms, plenty of counter space, and a balcony. - We opted for breakfast with our room rate and we’re very happy we did. The buffet features the many international versions of breakfast (we’d guess 60 items) and the ones we tried were all excellent. - The location is very convenient for most attractions in Cairns. The town is compact so nearly everything is walking distance (e.g. Great Barrier Reef excursions from the waterfront). And Sky Rail/Kuranda Railway have a pickup at the hotel next door. Other notes: - Water view is of the river vice the beach. There would not have been too much to see on the beach during our visit since it was “stinger” season. - If you opt out of housekeeping, the hotel offers two free drinks at the bar. We very much enjoyed our stay and would return again when traveling to Cairns.

Solid option especially if you have Club Lounge access. Appreciate the super comfortable bedding, room with a view and friendly staff. Pool area was relaxing, drinks and food options were limited but good and the location was great.
