Stayed here four nights and loved our eighth floor room. Comfortable bed, nice pillows, quiet at night, great shower, plenty of electrical outlets, lovely balcony overlooking the sea and the Casino. Great location near many good restaurants. Found everyone on the staff we met to be very helpful e.g. in making dinner reservations, in lending us umbrellas, in cutting another key when we forgot ours in the room. Didn't choose to include the breakfast because it was quite expensive ($25/person/day) but enjoyed the nearby Sweet Bistro. And was able to buy pastries to go for $7 from the hotel restaurant.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and after a long time between visits to Cairns it was nice to be back. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The hotel is very central to everything Cairns offers so it was easy to walk to and from. Though the exterior of the hotel is tired, the room was clean and flooded with natural light. Only criticism here is the light that comes in from under the curtains in the morning (I had a waterfront room so the sun shone right in) block out blinds for these rooms would be preferable. Amenities have been improved since I last visited, with a refurb of the lobby bar and evidently new seating to most food and beverage outlets which was good to see. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. This too has been revamped from my past stays. Only criticism is the brand of coffee beans they use! Not nice at all... so one morning I just walked to a local cafe for my fix instead. Though this hotels been around for 20+ years, everything was what I expected from the Hilton Brand and look forward to returning.

Wife got really sea sick on our 2 day 3 night reef trip. Pulled her off the boat early. Tucked her into the Hilton a day early and she was herself after a good nights sleep and ready for hour trip to Sydney and our flight home. Hilton hotels are my primary place to stay on vacation or business......

It's a little outdated and needs some love, but it was still a beautiful place to stay. The room was spacious, bed very comfy and the views were amazing! On our 5th night we received a block of chocolate and a thank you note from management. When we returned to our room in the afternoons, the lovely cleaners had always left a little note for us wishing us a good day. Thank you for a lovely experience and making us feel so welcome!

We stayed for one week at this hotel and had a lovely experience. Yuko and Sabil at the front desk took care of us. Early check in was offered as well as complimentary room upgrade. As a Silver Hilton Honours we received complimentary WiFi and bottles of mineral water every day. The location of the hotel is great.
