recently had the pleasure of staying at Solage Resort in Calistoga as part of Toyota’s Top 25 sales trip, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the property’s beauty stood out—immaculately maintained grounds, a serene atmosphere, and a design that perfectly blends luxury with the natural surroundings of Napa Valley. The rooms were spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful details that made it feel both upscale and relaxing. What truly set Solage apart, though, was the level of service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay exceptional. It’s clear that hospitality is a priority here, and it shows in every interaction. The amenities were equally impressive—from the pools and spa to the overall layout of the resort, everything was designed for both relaxation and enjoyment. And the food… absolutely outstanding. Every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, making dining a highlight of the trip. Solage is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re visiting for a special event, a corporate retreat, or simply a getaway, it delivers a truly top-tier experience. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury stay in Calistoga.

We came from the East Coast to explore wine country. The booking was effortless. The Concierge knew a lot and helped us structure the trip. When we arrived the reception was flawless. The rooms are large and California comfortable, with an earthy and classy feel. Solage is centrally located so we used it for the whole trip. We rented a car, but they provide amazing upper level Mercedes to use for your excursions for free as well. The gym is good for various workouts. There is a nice activity schedule including mixology, exercise, cooking and other things, but we just went out to explore. Breakfast at Solbar is worth it - ask if that can be wrapped into your reservation. They have good bikes to use, and the roads are nice for rides. There are biking/running trails. Spa services are good. The Hot Pools are big. The pool areas are neat. We have already referred friends here.

There were six of us there to share in a very special vacation for our 60th birthday. We’ve never been to a resort where anything and that we wanted was perfect. We definitely would go back.

We’ve always loved Solbar and have been loyal guests for years, but our most recent visit left us deeply disappointed. The food was well below the standard we’ve come to expect — so much so that we’re reconsidering our annual trips. The rooms also felt darker and more worn than we remembered, which added to the overall letdown. The pool bar menu continues to skew heavily spiced and rich, with very limited options for children. It’s genuinely sad to remove Solage from our list of favourite family destinations, and we hope the experience improves for future guests.

We took a trip here with our kids and had a fantastic time. The hotel was very clean and nice and staff were always attentive. Our kids had fun at the pool and the hotel was in a great location.
