The most beautiful hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

The hotel is so beautiful and the staff absolutely wonderful. We felt truly privileged to stay there. I cannot rate this gorgeous place highly enough. The food is fabulous and the staff go the extra mile to make every guest feel special. There is even a nature area with exotic birds and fish. This was our second visit, but we hope we will have many more.

Still our favourite Tenerife

Our first visit since Covid. A excellent hotel with first class comfort and facilities. The lovely evening buffet regrettably no longer exists . The restaurants within the complex are excellent, but we found there was not the flexibility of choice as with the buffet. Our room was excellent but the housekeeping was not quite as good as we remember from on previous visits . Staff are helpful and efficient.

Perfect Easter family break

We have stayed in a few hotels in Tenerife as a family with 2 small children - this is our favourite so far and intend to return next year. Staff are excellent, so kind and friendly - the pools are wonderful and general grounds plus the location - are all spot on. Pool side snacks could improve (club sandwich etc) but apart from that, we loved our stay. We had 2 connecting rooms and enjoyed the kids pool every day. As a family, it's great to be able to walk out of the hotel along the coast, to other restaurants. Look forward to returning!

Beautiful hotel but with room for improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Overall we had a good stay at the Del Duque however did not feel it was quite on a par with other five star hotels. We shared the same experience of another reviewer and were unfortunately firstly given a room that smelled damp /musty, was located in a dark ground floor area with a balcony that gave a view of a concrete wall and looked into the room next door. We could not be moved for the first night, but eventually we were found an alternative room (on the third offering) that met the expectations of what we had seen online when booking. This experience was really quite disappointing, disrupted our start to the holiday and did colour our view of the hotel given how much the cheapest rooms cost here. The additional expenses to hire tennis courts and play pitch and putt also felt a little stingy given the amount people spend to come here. More positively, the grounds and swimming pool areas are beautiful, the staff are really friendly, attentive and the breakfast is really quite fantastic! The grounds and general environment were also very relaxing. The food was ok/average for snacks/lunch bites but we would recommend going to some of the excellent restaurants in La Caleta, or elsewhere outside the hotel, for your main meals. (Duquesa Bistro up the road is a little gem).
