The aquamarine swimming pools of Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora are a stark splash of color against the volcanic peaks of Spain’s eternally sunny Canary Islands. In this vast compound, both couples and families find the epitome of a perfect beach holiday. Opting for Red Level Service adds a personalized aspect: Couples enjoy adults-only access to pools and lounges, special rooms with a terrace hydro massage bathtub and VIP access to resort activities. At night, chill out with lounge music on the beach or more lively fare at the disco or piano bar.

Arrived here yesterday. Resort is beautiful and spacious. However, impossible to get booked into dinner at an a la carte if you are all inclusive- need to queue at Guest Experiences at 10.30am (took 1/2 hour!) and only early/ late times available. So it’s the buffet for us! I assume premium times are reserved for red-level… Sunbeds around the pool are all taken by breakfast - most have nobody sitting on them until at least 12pm. At least 25% of sunbeds are reserved for red- level - and these sit mostly empty all day while the standard (5 star!) guests can’t get any. Been to much better resorts where 5 star means 5 star. Definitely a 2-tier 5 star experience. Never experienced anything like it!

As fans of Meliá Hotels, we had high expectations for Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, but unfortunately, this stay fell short in several key areas. We opted for the all-inclusive package, but it didn’t deliver the value or experience we anticipated. We spent most of our time at the adults-only pool, where drinks are meant to be ordered via a poolside concierge service. However, on our first day, we pressed the call button multiple times with no response. When we found the nearby bar and tried to order directly, we were told that only Red Level guests could do so, and we had to wait for the concierge. This issue persisted throughout the week, meaning we were lucky to receive 3–4 drinks per day — far from what you'd expect at a premium all-inclusive resort. The food was another letdown. Snack options during the day were limited, and while the evening buffet offered variety, the quality was underwhelming. We dined at both Nami (Asian) and L’Olio (Italian), but neither meal impressed us. It was also difficult to book into these restaurants - we booked several days in advance and you either had to dine really early or late. Ironically, the best meal we had was room service on our final night — the only meal we would’ve had to pay for. That said, we truly appreciated the staff’s kindness when I sprained my ankle that day. My partner called to ask if he could bring me a plate from the buffet, and instead, they generously offered complimentary room service. That gesture stood out and deserves recognition, and the staff in general were lovely. The drinks menu itself was quite good, and the cocktails were among the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive — it’s just a shame how difficult it was to actually get served during the day. They were also filming something for Netflix during our stay and swapped out all of the more comfortable sunbeds for others during the process which was frustrating. It also meant that they closed off certain areas of the hotel - not really what you expect on your holiday. Overall, while the rooms were clean and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful, the experience didn’t live up to the luxury price tag. If you’re coming here for a beach holiday, I wouldn’t recommend as the strip of beach the hotel has isn’t private and only a small selection of sunbeds are there. The beach bar also isn’t included in All Inclusive. We wouldn’t return, as it simply didn’t feel like the premium, seamless experience we’d expect from Meliá or a resort in this price range.

I am giving this two stars because I can not fault the hotel grounds itself, very nice well kept modern and tidy! On the other hand staff members. 60% of them actually take the time to speak with you polite and understanding even know English isn’t there first language. From what we have found the management’s so broken here we have had numerous problems and faults? For such an expensive hotel we have had sunbeds stolen spoken to management we was told people are entitled to take whatever sunbed they want just take the towels off ? Secondly the Spanish film crew, Tom cruises of the hotel who genuinely think they own the place in the food hall 30 mob handed goodluck getting any food while they are around voltures. Taking up all the peace and quiet blocking entrances running cables everywhere while everyone else has to make way for them. First problem was hair in the food, ok understandable mistakes happen. Next day another hair spoke with management was complimentary given one of there ‘best Bali beds’ number 18 ok so that’s good and also a free steak restaurant ! So we accept The Bali bed ect, suppose to be free house drinks and food (waiter service) what turned into getting up and collecting our own drinks 4 times before manager actually took note of our button being broke did he do anything? No thanks Fernando! 😂 so we attempt the steak house what we was given, no we wasn’t welcome the booking was not confirmed we waited 20 minutes to be sat down once we did sit down we was told we only had 30% off? Ok no worries? But we was told free back and forth embarrassing really we got 70% off😂 ok we walked out of there. Spoke AGAIN with another manager Carme who was really helpful understanding what went on and actually put us in the Italian for the night! Nice touch but if you are genuinely coming here I would recommend half boarding. Red level is very shall I say superior people? Like they are higher than everyone else roped off in there own department. The lunch menu consists off seafood or Mexican food (taste like cardboard) breakfast is a great selection dinner is also fabulous! There is an ice cream stand where you can get ice cream or a bar with crisps other than that no snacks around the hotel! Can only see how my last week goes I will be updating this review with any changes.

Very good hotel, wonderful swimming pool. The only minus is the cleanness of the pool an near. Asked 3 days to clean the pool, no reaction. On the territory papers and glasses for several days.3 times asked to clean near the pool, came in 3 hours( Tables near the pool are not cleaned. Service near the pool needs to be better. And one more-is the queue for the restaurant. Wonderfull Michell from the main buffet restaurant! Wonderfull yoga trainers!!!!

We came here for our honeymoon and the hotel and Circle Melia team did not disappoint. Pablo, Maggie and the Circle team were amazing. Lucia also dressed our room with rose petals and we had chocolate strawberries and champagne on arrival. Such a lovely surprise which bought my husband to tears. We won a free sunbed with a bottle of moet and fruit and were invited to a special Infinite Celebration on our last night. Staff cannot do enough to help and couldn’t fault them or the hotel at all. Special mention for Angel who was amazing and treated us like royalty from day one. Can’t wait to book our next holiday with Circle. Thank you @ Pablo Leandro Gonzalez Villar
