We have just arrived back from 5 nights at this hotel. Main reason for going was winter sun and a chill. We have fortunately been to many 5 star hotels both for business and pleasure and this generally is 5 star. We went with TUI but the hotel is owned by Melia. There is the most complex and senseless drinks and meals packages here at the hotel most people were confused and it leads to mass frustration and ultimately bad feelings towards the hotel. Tui have Full board + which means you can eat in 3 of the restaurants and have basic drinks with meals. If you want to eat at other restaurants they give you 30% off. You can then upgrade to silver( 35 e per person per day) which gives you a choice of other drinks but you cant have these with your meals. then there is gold and then there is redlevel.etc etc. On holiday you just don't want this level of complexity. At the rep meeting we were told even with the silver packages you could not have snacks-- the rep said this was crisps and peanuts but no worries you can nip out to the local petrol station and buy them for 1 Euro... is this really 5 star thinking !. The restaurants included are generally ok but not great and as many guests have stated the food in the buffet restaurant is often luke warm - why don't they just have floor walkers to check !. Also hugely annoying is the lighting system in the rooms , they have tried to be clever by having mood lighting but it just does not work and the rooms are dark, particularly the bathrooms and impossible for a woman to put make up on. Again many guests say this and the hotel should take notice . They could put a magnifying spot mirror in the bathroom as you see in many hotels. Its a shame that the hotel don't get these small things sorted out they should listen to customers more and then they could justify the high prices they charge

We went with Thomson and was there for NYE. I have to say probably one of the best NYE i have ever had. The entertainment was fantastic, there was no expense spared. Facilities were all good, room was lovely, spa was outstanding. Good, we didn’t enjoy Pangea in the evening and the booking system was a little mixed up. We were told at first we could only book that day which was not true, so we had to eat out for two nights as we didn’t want to go in to Pangea in the eve. That aside we had a fantastic holiday and have booked for our family to go back for NY 2018 as we had such a good time. And now we know what we can do we will book our restaurants in advance.

Hi I'm sitting on my sun lounger as we speak. With a 5 year old who's been told she's not allowed in kids club because we came with thomson. And to make matters worse there's no kids club for thomson guests in the winter. So this is not a family hotel of any sorts . At night after dinner it's freezing cold and adults are allowed inside with the live entertainment /singers children are not . Our party was 4 adults 5 children so they have to sit outside and with no heaters as I asked if some could be made available.the reply was we can sit inside the theatre which opens at 2200 it is like a cinema all seats in a line this is not a place I'd like to sit every night on my holiday and is empty so others agree to sum up thomson have a lot to answer to. Misled big time how can this be a family resort

This hotel has a lot going for it. Great facilities. The public areas are really nice. The sports facilities are super good and mostly free. Food on the full board is mostly pretty good, but nothing special. The location is amazing. The little town next to it is lovely and the landscaping to the front of the hotel is exceptional. It’s a big hotel and at times feels like a bit of a holiday factory. It’s not truly 5 stars in my view. It’s clean until you start to look closely....but I’ve got OCD so most probably won’t be bothered. The worst thing about this place is the coffee. The stuff they serve with breakfast is disgusting and it’s difficult to get a nice coffee after a meal. You can get a fantastic coffee for €1 or €1.50 in the town. They need to work in things a bit to make it a proper 5 star experience. The staff are mostly very nice. Clattering trolleys outside rooms are a bit annoying. The location and the facilities are really good though. Hopefully the hotel can fix its coffee problem and pay a bit more attention to the cleanliness details. If they did that and worked a little more on food quality it would be super in my view. Nevertheless we’ll probably come back. Really enjoyed our holiday here.

We are leaving this beautiful hotel today unfortunately, it definitively has the wow factor. Rooms are lovely but the lighting is terrible especially as we have no sun on the balcony. We booked with Tui on a Full Board basis which included drinks at meal times which we found was sufficient. I was having a few glasses of wine with lunch and evening meal. The prices of drinks at other times are extortionate we paid 4.50 euros for a small bottle of water at the poolside. The pool areas are lovely, we used the Family Pool and Pirate Pool which are both heated unfortunately we didn’t use Infinity Pool as it was freezing but we haven’t had the best weather! We ate in Market Grill at lunchtime there is plenty choice on the menu it’s lovely sitting there overlooking the Infinity Pool. We booked into Club Ocean which is Italian and Oasis Grill for a couple of evenings, you can eat in them more than once and the food was amazing. The menu is a little fancy but try the food it is beautiful. The buffet restaurant is Pangea I think I expected a bit more from this restaurant, there didn’t seem to be as much choice as I thought maybe it was because the hotel was quiet I’m not sure. They definitely need more staff in there at breakfast times to help clear the tables. There is a lovely coastal walk at the front of the hotel with play parks for children, seating areas, fitness equipment it really is beautiful. We walked left out the hotel to Alcala its only ten mins and we went to the market which is on a Monday, it’s quite small but nice to see. We used the free courtesy bus to take us to Costa Adeje we then got a taxi along to Las America’s and walked along to Los Christianos for lunch. You must book the daily courtesy bus as seats are limited, it leaves hotel at 10am and picks up at Costa Adeje at 3pm. We went to a couple of the evening shows but found them too late as we had a 5 year old they don’t start until 10pm. Overall a beautiful hotel, food lovely, wine good. Just wish we had a sunny balcony !
