Excellent experience! Super attentive staff, especially Fernando at the La Joya restaurant, he was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The mariachi band going through the restaurant was extremely talented and even took music suggestions from all the tables they played at. Really helped to enhance the experience. Highly recommended!

We have stayed at this beautiful location several times. Happy Shuttle was the most reliable and reasonably priced means of transportation to the hotel. Booking an ocean view room definitely adds to the experience of staying here. Housekeeping did a wonderful job each day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The lobby bar bartenders by far made the best drinks. Eva was a superb server. The pianist was exceptionally talented as was the female violinist. We made reservations at several of the restaurants. Be aware that at the Argentinean restaurant, the dancers only perform at 7:00. We were not told of that when we booked. My petite fillet was very dry and tasteless. The loaded potato had a few bits of bacon and some cheese. This restaurant was very much a disappointment. La Joya restaurant was better but please serve soup when it’s hot. My tortilla soup was cold. The salmon was delicious but oddly presented with mixed vegetables and mushrooms in a beef gravy. Torii was a fun experience. The meals served in the main dining room were always delicious and varied. The servers aimed to please and should be tipped. I noticed quite a few people didn’t. Overall, we would definitely return.

Located in the "hotel zone" ~ 20 to 25 minutes from the airport. Pros and Cons: The staff are very friendly, excellent food - in particular the Seabass & Ribs cooked to perfection and SO delicious at Isla Contoy restaurant (Jorge and other waiters go above and beyond & make you feel special like family). Staff good at steak house, husband did not like his steak (fatty, cooked almost rare instead of medium well) & my fish a little over cooked. Very upset stomachs shortly afterwards. Entertainment great at both restaurants! First room upgraded upon check-in HOWEVER rooms changed upon request the next morning due to: very disappointing small & outdated shower, can't close window shudders, noisy outside of room, T.V. glitches constantly, jacuzzi inside of bathroom, not on large outdoor patio like other resorts who have both for ~ $500. less and in a newer resort (we spoke to understanding manager Eduardo who made things right by us, refunding the upgrade for our next 3 nights to 2 queen beds - no king bed available). The next room seemed updated and was not with "Infiniti Club" level (husband can't do stairs due to knee issues, & there's no elevator access to the club level.) In my opinion, the upgrade is NOT worth the over $800 for 4 nights additional cost at all! IF you're a younger couple/group and you're going to use the lisited add ons it might be worth extra, but not for the room we were put in and told it's "one of their best" and certainly not at that price. Excellent, hard working beach staff as well as housekeeping, restaurants, and more. The ocean is heavenly, clean beach area, 4 beautiful large pools. Surprisingly loud at night especially (while late and people trying to sleep). You can hear chairs being moved in room above, loud people in hallways, doors slam easily & loudly. Music playing loudly outside with late night events. Beautiful ocean view room! (2nd room, seemingly updated). Reservations are required for most restaurants.

Mariachi band was phenomenal. Ask for the “mariachi loco” to be played. Order a mezcalita. The pablano soup is worth coming to Mexico for, just sayin.

This hotel is luxurious and beautiful! The staff was always gracious and helpful and encouraged my attempts at speaking Spanish! :) The fresh flowers were lovely, the pool was marvelous, and the food for our conference was scrumptious!
