Very nice place for a family vacation
Grand Fiesta is really a nice place for a vacation for a family with small children. The pools are are shaded so the children can enjoy them all day. The bars are in the pool so kids can swim over and get some fruit juice! The beach is beautiful and enjoyable. Overall the food and service were very good. We tried a different restaurant every night and everyone enjoyed them. I have 2 complaints that I wrote to Grand Fiesta about and never received acknowledgement....annoying. 1. We asked the hotel to arrange to have a taxi pick us up - at our expense. There was no taxi and the taxi service Firesta works with had no representative at the airport. After a very long wait, we were lured by someone wearing an Offical Airport Staff tag to take a taxi that she could arrange. We followed quite a distance her to the taxi station where we were shown to a tiny, old car and told that the charge was $100! 2. We booked 3 rooms specifically in a quiet area of the hotel. Instead we got 3 rooms in the noisiest area of the hotel....from late night parties and dancing to an extremely loud wedding one evening. 4 evenings in a row the baby and his parents were up til 11 pm when the noise finally died down. Very inconsiderate booking by the hotel. Finally, if you're traveling with small kids beware that the gift shop in the hotel has outrageously high prices. A plastic pail and shovel that would cost about $5.00 in the US costs $27.00 at the hotel. If you leave the hotel at breakfast time the hotel can prepare a breakfast box for you. Don't expect to buy anything at the Cancun airport - a cup of hot tea cost $9.00

Chianti - Best cheese ravioli
Restaurant review - went to Italian restaurants Chianti twice on our trip to Grand fiesta Americana. Both the time Jose helped us - welcomed us with pleasant smile , helpful with menu and ordering. We tried cheese ravioli both the times because it was that good. Creamy soft well cooked pasta with delicious cheese filling. Thank you chef for amazing food and we sure will be back

This hotel is luxurious and beautiful! The staff was always gracious and helpful and encouraged my attempts at speaking Spanish! :) The fresh flowers were lovely, the pool was marvelous, and the food for our conference was scrumptious!

Loved the hotel, our stay was wonderful! Everyone did an excellent job. The food was phenomenal. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. The staff was so nice and helpful. Thank you for a great, amazing stay. I have already recommended the resort to all my friends and coworkers! We will be back!
