Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach

Highly recommend this resort, we stayed here for few nights and it’s well worth. We spent the first dinner at Chianti, Italian restaurant and we really loved Carlos (he is the musician) who performs here certain days and loved his music. Especially loved the Totanic and Godfather rendition, amazing. Love to visit again soon

Hotel is fabulous, go there people you will not be dissappointed. The entire place is spotless, many tasty restaurants, fantastic location with powder soft sand. Large heated pool area, pool & beach waiters/waitresses friendly & attentive. Pro-tip: they are renovating rooms but not all at once, try asking for a renovated room at check-in. Our 2nd time there and definitely will be back. Only dissapointment was the unusually cool weather, which hadn't been seen for decades.

We booked this trip with friends and so I was a little anxious about it as we took our boys as well for their first trip out of the country, their first time flying, etc, and so I was pretty anxious and nervous, especially given with what all you hear about Cancun being unsafe, etc. Never once did we feel unsafe this trip! They have staff at the front door making sure only people who are supposed to be there are and make sure to turn non-resort stayers away otherwise. The beach area was incredibly safe, I only saw one vendor the entire time. I believe it’s a private beach on this resort so it was nice to not have all the vendors like some other places we’ve been. The entire staff was so incredibly friendly, helpful and kind! They spoke great English. The entire resort was so incredibly clean and had cleaning staff going nonstop - which I absolutely appreciated as a somewhat of a ‘germophobe’ myself! The restrooms - whether it was in the main area or pool area - were always being attended to, never once did I feel grossed out by them! The room was very clean, tended to twice a day - everything was in working order. There was also a sectional couch/lounge area in the room that one of our boys slept on, giving us a little more room to spread out! I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for - and I feel like this resort definitely paid for itself in all areas - safety, building condition, food, pool, etc. We had some friends staying down the road at NYX and they had a completely awful stay/experience and was jealous of our resort and stay! The only con about our trip that cannot be controlled was the weather - of course we came during an unseasonably cold week, but we were able to get a few nice days and sunshine at least. Just the luck of the draw on that. So with that the pool was chillier than they advertised. It was advertised it was heated to 89 degrees F but the thermometer in the pool was reading 78 the first few days we were there. So the pool was chilly in the cooler weather. We aren’t sure if the heater wasn’t working but it did warm up a bit by the end of our week! The food was great! The best food was actually the pool food! lol! The restaurants were very fancy feeling yet kid friendly! We enjoyed the Japanese steakhouse the best! The steakhouse has the coolest vibe/atmosphere but the steak was not great compared to our beef at home, so that was a little disappointing but still overall they were fun to go to! It was very nice as well that this resort partners with a travel company who shuttles you to and from the airport. Everything was great, the company emails you confirmations and what to do/where to go/what shirts to look for upon arrival. Our shuttle from the resort to the airport was the only thing I was not aware of just how BUSY traffic was in the afternoon - which we are NOT used to traffic/from rural, small town USA (if you’re not used to how traffic flows in Mexico, you are in for a treat coming from the US! Just keep your eyes on the floor, lol!). I think if we go again, especially with our young boys, we would fly out early to avoid the congestion - traffic, airport, etc. Make sure you eat before leaving, the airport food is ridiculously expensive! However, I will say, the Cancun airport was actually pretty good! (I know some of this information is not relative to the resort stay but I feel like it’s helpful information for somebody coming in, regardless!) The bathrooms in the airport were so incredibly GROSS was the only downfall, but there was room to sit down once inside and such and seemed pretty clean otherwise. Unlike when we’ve been to the Dominican - where there was standing room only and so hot/no room for the amount of people in there (absolutely miserable!) so much better experience here! Overall, we would definitely go back! It was a fabulous experience and our boys very much enjoyed endless pool time, NA strawberry daiquiris on tap and ice cream anytime of day! The room, the restaurants, the entertainment and the service were all extraordinary. The service in particular was consistently outstanding. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
