Baby and Vegetarians Review

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

Vegetarians with 7-month old baby. Overall rating 4.5/5. I’ll focus on those 2 topics + thoughts on infinite club. But this is our first all-inclusive so nothing to compare to. Overall great 7-night stay, 2nd week January 2026. We booked infinite club honeymoon master suite, through Costco.ca. Let’s start with baby. Very baby-friendly resort. They provided crib, tub, and sanitizer. Wife pumped all week and hand washed and sanitized just like at home (I brought a collapsible bucket for soap water, it’s like a bag with handles, recommended). The staff is very kid-first and there are families everywhere so we felt ok if the baby fussed or cried as everyone was dealing with their own kids. I brought my own clamp-high chair (which worked great) but all restaurants have high chairs. Ramps everywhere, able to wheel the stroller almost everywhere. They have a baby pool with shin-deep water which was perfect for wading with our baby. The infinite club separate beach area had some very large flat loungers, perfect for laying the baby down. Highly recommend you bring the following: grandparents (otherwise it’ll suck big time looking after the baby 24/7 yourself), bottle warmers (very awkward to use hot water from coffee maker — btw mini bar fridge is cold enough to store milk), your own mini spoon for feeding solids, bottle cleaning equipment (collapsible bucket, brushes, dish soap), puppy pads, sound machine, baby monitor (so you can sit on the terrace while baby naps and hear her, ideally non-wifi). And overall correct expectations — all the constraints of baby care persist. It’s very hard to enjoy everything the resort offers when you must deal with your baby. But you can enjoy some of it and it’ll be a much needed vacation from normal parenting since you don’t cook, clean, do chores, and the setting is so beautiful. Overall I’m glad I purchased the best room Costco offered because we spent so much time in the room due to napping and pumping. The terrace and view were incredible. Room very spacious. Massive bathroom, tons of counter space, two sinks, perfect for having dedicated washing station for bottles/pump. Vegetarian food. Resort is very vegetarian friendly. There are options, sometimes separate menus, at almost all restaurants. All staff know what “vegetarian” means, no explanation needed. Food quality pretty good everywhere. However we’re from Toronto which is a major city with excellent restaurants (including Mexican) and we’re also great home cooks. So our standards are high. I would rate the vegetarian food here a 7/10 at best and from what I’ve read most other resorts are probably worse. It’s pretty good and enjoyable and good variety. But you wouldn’t actively seek it out again or confidently recommend it to a friend as a must-try. Very few items are homerruns — one notable is the mushroom risotto at Chianti, we ordered it twice. And surprisingly I recommend Le Basilic — usually vegetarians get shafted in these fine-dining tasting menu experiences but Le Basilic does a truly great job. If you have Infinite Club, forgo the spa dinner or beach dinner (menus suck) and instead choose Le Basilic — it’s fine dining, small portions, but the wonderful thing about all-inclusive is you can just grab a pizza and cheesecake after lol. Torii is mediocre for vegetarians, but fun. Chianti is largely disappointing except for risotto. La Joya is pretty good but mariachi band is extremely loud for a baby. Nah Kaax for dinner is kinda mediocre too, just two veggie tacos and not that flavourful, but fun to eat on the beach. Room service and beach menu have a bunch of good things. Infinite club (IC). I’m glad I got it but hard to say if it’s worth it because I didn’t bother to tally up if the perks represent good value. However I was told you can only book the master suite with IC so you should get this if you have a baby. Best part of IC is the separate beach area, never worried about getting chairs, can show up any time. IC offers segregated restaurant reservation availability so no stress getting the times we wanted and making changes each day. I enjoyed all the perks, spa, Le Basilic dinner, foot massage, cabana, jet ski, romantic rose petals and champagne in the room, and more. I would never pay for these things individually. But just like the general all-inclusive concept, you pay a lump sum once and then forget about money and focus on enjoying. If you have the disposable income, I would suggest just getting IC and not analyzing the value. I’m glad I did. That being said, if you don’t book an IC master suite, I am certain you will still have a great time. IC is not needed, it’s just added luxury. Minimal/inconsequential sargassum. Good weather mostly. Hotel very well maintained, great service, amazing beach, amazing views. Would give 5/5 if vegetarian food was better.
