Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach

We went to Isla Contoy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Had to make a final stop to see our wonderful server Carlos!!!! We will definitely be back.

Grand fiesta is a great resort for family and kids. I went here with my friends although we are a younger demographic we still enjoyed our time. The restaurant Isla Contoy was top notch in service and food. Server Carlos specifically at Isla Contoy makes the experiences so memorable and enjoyable. Please come here and look for him.

We loved our trip the food was so good and service was amazing. We especially loved Carlos at Isla contoy who was amazing we went for multiple meals and Carlos was our guy!

Honest Review – Grand Fiesta (Industry Perspective) For context, I work in hospitality and oversee Food & Beverage operations at the Hyatt Centric in Philadelphia, so I naturally look at hotels from both a guest and operational standpoint. We arrived on a Thursday and stayed at the Infinite Level. Check-in was smooth and efficient — we were escorted to the penthouse lounge, which made the arrival feel elevated. We weren’t offered a welcome cocktail, but we did have full access to the bar. Our room was ready without delay, and we were upgraded from the Infinite One-Bedroom Suite to the Infinite Honeymoon Suite. The views were absolutely incredible and a definite highlight of the trip. The pool area is large and segmented into four sections with three bars, which is convenient. That said, the pool deck felt very crowded, with chairs placed extremely close together. It made the space feel tighter than expected, especially during peak hours. Dining was mixed. Service at Isla Contoy was very good, but the food itself was just okay. Overall, most meals were adequate but not memorable. The standout was La Basilic — both the food and service were very good. Unfortunately, the Italian restaurant was disappointing, and the breakfast buffet felt overcrowded and lacked freshness. The true bright spot of this property is the staff. Every interaction was warm and professional. We spent most days at the Infinite beach area, where Amed took excellent care of us. There are plenty of pool and beach servers, and the food options at the beach were solid and convenient. We have stayed next door at the Hyatt several times, which aligns more closely with our personal style preference. In my opinion, Grand Fiesta would benefit from some modernization and a sharper focus on food consistency to match the level of service the staff provides. Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and excellent service — but there is room for improvement in dining execution and overall refinement.

Dishonest pricing practices. This company advertises a “25% price guarantee” if you find a lower rate for the same room at their resort on another site. I found a lower publicly available rate that met the stated criteria after booking directly with them. Instead of honoring their own guarantee, they created technical excuses as to why it “didn’t qualify,” and then stopped responding to emails altogether. If a company promotes a price guarantee, it should stand behind it. Otherwise, it’s just a marketing tactic. There are plenty of great resorts in Cancun. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere.
