Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach

I had high hopes for this resort after reading so many positive reviews. The only reason I am giving it two stars instead of one is because the staff members were genuinely friendly and did their best within the limits of the resort’s policies. Unfortunately, my stay involved unusual circumstances, as I was in Cancun recovering from oral surgery and needed a place to rest following a medical procedure. If I did not feel up to going to one of the restaurants, my daughter was not permitted to bring food to my room or even take leftover food with her. Because I needed very soft foods after surgery, there was nothing suitable on the room service menu. Even when ordering room service, the resort required that staff enter the room to set everything up and make it into a formal production, despite the fact that I was recovering in bed and simply wanted food delivered to the door. I could list many other frustrations, but my overall impression is that this resort prioritizes rigid corporate rules and systems over accommodating guests’ individual needs. For one of the most expensive all-inclusive resorts we have visited—approximately $7,000 USD for two adults and two young children—the experience was disappointing. Between the inflexible policies, the lack of accommodation for special circumstances, and the very small beach, I simply do not feel that this resort delivers value commensurate with its price.

Location: super close to the airport, very convenient. Rooms and facilities: moderate luxury with new facilities, rooms are a bit outdated. Services: very helpful front desk, good room service. Pool servers (Diddy, ect..) are great, they worked so hard. The cabana person didn’t completely do his job and appeared to just wanted the tips. We had the cabana almost everyday and we were supposed to get 2 chairs reserved with it; however, other people were sitting on our reserved chairs and the cabana guy didn’t do anything. That was annoying because we paid for the cabana so we didn’t have to fight for the pool chairs… Child care: great! Our kids loved all the sitter and the kids club. They would not want to leave. Food: we enjoyed the steak house, the Italian restaurant and the French restaurant. Buffet was average (one day we didn’t have a good service at the buffet, and it believe his name was Salvador who gave us attitude for asking water for the kids). You cannot really expect gourmet food from an all inclusive resort. Also the resort was large but very walkable, that was very pleasant as summer can be very hot.

This is our fourth to me at Fiesta...omg,words can't truly describe it.We have been here couple trip as well as family trip. Every time amazing!!Service,amenities ..food..and one again the french restaurant an absolute full extraordinary experience!!!Thank you so much Jonathan,Miguel,Angel for helping to make our night at Basilic unforgettable !!!!

avoid. good reviews seems to be old. recently it has gown way downhill.food and service is really bad.

We loved our stay at the Grand Fiesta! We had a room on the top floor and the view was amazing! We enjoyed all of the restaurants we tried. It was hard to get reservations at first, but we learned to check in on the day we wanted to go and see if there have been any cancellations. We also found you could go to the restaurant that night and check with them. The breakfast buffet line was long, but you can go the seafood restaurant near the beach and they have breakfast there with a nice view. They did a fun setup with dinner for one of the USA World Cup games. Our room was large and stayed cool. The property was well maintained and we loved all the shade. We never had a problem finding chairs at the adult pool. The staff we encountered were all great! We will definitely be back!
