I'll start off my review by saying this property is beautiful and the location cannot be beat. The waiters and housekeeping staff are Lovely. The front of house people less so-little bit snobby. I am fluent in Spanish yet every time I spoke to them they insisted upon answering me in English, which was a little insulting. I will also add that I research vacations almost obsessively so I knew coming in what this hotel would be like. It's not all inclusive and you definitely cannot bring any food in from outside of the hotel is pretty pricey but good. I read another review to simply decline the check in "meeting" with the resort representative to learn about the property, because this basically will turn into a time share sales pitch. So from that point on expect to be on your own when it comes to finding things, the women who gave the sales pitches glared at me my entire trip when I was obviously trying to find things like the kids club and the gym. I get it, I wasn't playing their game, but I really didn't want to waste their time either. One afternoon the power went out and we were told the kids club was closed, buy one of the ladies who I had earlier declined her sales pitch. When we finally wandered over to the kids club, it wasn't closed, it was actually opened, and we were able to easily check our children in. But we can handle it, and we had a lovely vacation. The beaches are pristine. All the rooms have a fabulous view. And we felt safe. One hint on breakfast if you have little ones is that they eat off of all the menus for free, it's a waste of money to even pay half price for the buffet so just let the kids order off the menu. And if you can rally that early in the morning a short one block walk to the most fabulous supermarket (Chedraui Selecto) you will ever see or you can get breakfast crapes sweet bread and coffee for super super cheap!

I had a master suite with a king size bed and it was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was one of the best i have ever seen. The mandatory $75.00 you have to pay at check-in for internet and free water was a lil surprising, but i needed my internet. very clean very nice, i would highly recommend this place. I will definitely stay here again when i go back to Cancun.

We loved everything about it period. Simply amazing - great food - great staff - great property. Easy to get to from the airport and there's an amazing grocery store less than a block away. You can get suntan oil to wine here. We really loved this mini vacay!

Pros: beautiful beachfront property (you can walk directly to the gorgeous, clear water beach right from the hotel. One of the best beach I've ever been to. Water is crystal clear, waves were perfect for floating for long periods of time. Staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. Room and ocean view were stunning. Cons: every single time you come and go from your room, they stop you to sell you on their timeshare. They will ask you for your room number every time they try to pitch you. The last time they were rated a five diamond hotel was back in 2009. Amenities are getting old and outdated. Some things in the room need to be replaced (lamp shades are rusted, bathtub is old and small). They will ask to come into your room each day to check the mini bar. Pool area, while for the most part just amazing, if you look closely, there is mildew in the grout in so many areas. TLDR; gorgeous property with great access to beach. But some amenities old and outdated. They will try to sell you on timeshares. Probably won't come back with so many options available in Cancun.
