Wonderful experience for the whole family!

We just returned from an incredible stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach in Cancún and can’t recommend it highly enough. We were traveling with our two kids (ages 2.5 and 8) and found the resort to be a perfect fit for families looking to relax and enjoy some luxury. We stayed in the Friends & Family Ocean View Suite, which is essentially two full suites joined by a connecting door - an ideal setup for parents with young kids. We were also able to book a room for my parents just two doors down, which made everything even easier. Yes, the hotel is beginning to show a bit of age in some areas, but the service more than makes up for it. The staff was consistently warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. The kids club was a huge highlight. It’s well-run, safe, and fun...my son didn’t want to leave! There’s a baby pool with a slide, a video game room, and tons of crafts and activities throughout the day. What’s even better is that parents and caregivers are welcome to stay and hang out with younger kids. For those under age 3, like our daughter, the hotel offers babysitting services with sitters employed by the hotel. We were lucky to have Claudia (our daughter adored her). We had some great meals during our stay, particularly at Torii, the hibachi grill, which was a hit with the whole family. I usually go into all-inclusives with modest expectations for food, but Coral Beach really surprised me. The quality and variety were impressive across the board. The standout experience of the trip, though, was our evening at Le Basilic. It’s not included in the standard package, but the small upcharge (around $50/person) was more than worth it. The tasting menu rivaled some of the best meals we’ve had in the Bay Area. Every course was thoughtful and delicious, and the wine pairing was spot on. Midway through dinner, a pianist played while a ballerina and her partner performed just a few feet away. It was stunning - and it actually brought me to tears! My husband and I both agreed we’d come back just for that experience. Not the me crying part...ha ha All in all, it was such a great trip - relaxing, fun for the kids, and just the right amount of luxury. We’d absolutely go back.

Family Fun in the Sun

Our family of four had a fantastic week at Grand Fiesta Americana. We stayed in an "Infinity Two Bedroom Master Suite" which had a master suite connected to a regular suite. The room was huge, beautiful, and had a very large balcony overseeing the ocean and pool. Our kids (ages 4 and 6) had a great time at the impressive Kidz Club and spent (at their insistence) multiple hours a day there, giving the adults some time to enjoy their time kid-free. The food was very impressive for an all-inclusive especially at Isla Contoy (thank you to our server Jose), Le Basilic, and La Joya (thank you to our servers Jesus and Rodrigo). The pool-side food service, which many similar all-inclusives to not have, was a really nice feature and a way to stay poolside during lunch time, particularly with hungry kids. Room service was quick and tasty as well. We also enjoyed the buffet Vina del Mar for both breakfasts and a lunch. The pool was very nice. There is basically one long pool that is broken into four parts, each of which have certain features. The ocean was beautiful. Some days there was no seaweed and other days there was a lot. The staff did what they could to remove it. The resort was immaculate; hotel employees were constantly cleaning, watering plants, sweeping up sand, etc. to create a truly spotless experience. Our room was cleaned every day, the minibar/snacks were refilled every day, and room service / food ordering at the pool was always accurate and timely. I read a review saying the Infinity Club was not worth it but I respectfully disagree. To start, we got a beautiful, large upgraded room (Master Suite) which came in handy being there with the whole family for a week. On top of that we took advantage of many of the perks which included an included meal at Le Basilic (usually has a surcharge as it is their Five Diamond restaurant); 40% off at the spa; amazing private pool deck (and private beach area) managed by the excellent staff including Alejandro and Cristian; free ferry to Isla Mujeres, free use of the jet skis (which were very impressive); nightly turn-down service; and use of the Infinity Club on the 11th floor for concierge service, drinks, and food. I would highly recommend this resort for families with kids, especially 11 and under (Kidz Club is 3-11). If you are only adults you should know you will be surrounded by young children.

Elias our server was amazing with great energy. Food and Ambience was very good. Must visit if staying at Grand Coral.

Chianti was a standout dining experience during our stay at Grand Coral. From the start, Elias, our server, made the evening exceptional with his friendly, attentive service and great menu recommendations. The food was flavorful and beautifully presented. We tried the pasta and seafood, both cooked perfectly with rich, authentic Italian taste. Portions were generous, and the dessert was a great finish. The true highlight, though, was the ambience. A live violinist played during dinner, creating a romantic, elegant vibe that made the evening feel truly special. The setting is upscale but not stuffy—just right for a relaxed, memorable night out. The decor has a classic European charm, and everything from lighting to music felt thoughtfully designed. We appreciated that it was part of the all-inclusive experience, though the atmosphere felt far above typical resort dining. If you’re staying at the resort or nearby, go to Chianti. It’s perfect for couples, celebrations, or anyone who enjoys good food in a beautiful setting. Be sure to make a reservation and ask for a table near the music for the full experience. Chianti is a must-visit in Cancun.

Today, at one of the pool bars, my wife left her seat to go to the bathroom. Shortly thereafter, a group of elderly ladies came and one of them went for her seat. I told her, "I'm sorry. That's my wife's seat. She went to the bathroom and is coming right back. The group of old ladies started aggressively insulting me and telling me how rude I was. I turned away and did not engage them anymore. Fast forward to about 45 minutes later: One of those crazy old ladies (75+ and drunk) came up to my group and started verbally attacking me AGAIN. We told her to leave us alone. Then, EDUARDO, working at that bar came up and I told him about the old ladies's abusive behavior. He told ME that *I* needed to back off. This, despite the fact that multiple witnesses attested to the abusive behavior of these women; and she was the one who came back to attack me. He scolded me in public when I was polite and turned away to avoid the conflict. He was condescending and rude. This is unacceptable.
