Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach

The staff went above and beyond to make our vacation special and memorable! The manager in the Infinity lounge was able to change our dinner resi to a more agreeable time slot for our family! April at the front desk helped me with ALL of my questions! Jonathan at La Basilic made our formal dinner very special and memorable!! This was our first time at an All Inclusive and we were a little nervous about the food quality, but our food experience at this resort was really really good! The mixology class with the chef from Argentina was so much fun and we learned SO much and we are forever her fans because of what she taught us about how to make non-alcoholic mock-tails!! The service at the beach was outstanding and we never had an issue getting a beach lounger and umbrella and service!! Everyone was SO happy and accommodating and the property grounds were beautiful. Our room was spacious and really cleaned. The couch was sticky for some reason all over and we thought maybe because of the humidity in the air, but it was so minor and not a bother. It would be nice to have more seating outside on the large patio and maybe even some comfortable sofa and comfortable chairs with umbrella type thing.

The show was wonderful and the food was fantastic! Bitalino was amazing!!!

This was the most terrifying experience our family has ever endured. Our 3-year-old son nearly drowned in the pool after becoming trapped at the end of the pool. He required emergency medical treatment, was transported by ambulance, and spent an entire day in the hospital. His medical care has already exceeded $10,000, and no family should ever have to experience what we went through. What made this even more upsetting was what we witnessed during the emergency. We did not see a lifeguard present around the pool when this happened. While waiting for emergency responders, staff attempted to administer oxygen, but the only mask available appeared to be adult-sized and did not fit a small child. In such a critical situation, every second matters. To make matters worse, after everything our family had just been through, the hotel charged us $200 for calling the ambulance. We found that response incredibly insensitive and disappointing given the circumstances. At a time when our only concern was whether our son would survive, being presented with an ambulance charge reflected a shocking lack of compassion. We are beyond grateful that our son survived. However, this incident exposed serious concerns about emergency preparedness and guest safety. We sincerely hope the hotel carefully reviews its emergency response procedures so that another family never has to experience this nightmare. If you are traveling with young children, I strongly encourage you to carefully consider whether this is the right property for your family. For us, the lack of visible lifeguard presence during our emergency, the apparent lack of appropriately sized emergency oxygen equipment for a small child, and the hotel's handling of the situation have permanently destroyed our confidence in this resort.
