Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach

As a travel advisor and owner of my own travel agency, I’ve visited Cancun many times and stayed at many resorts over the years. This resort completely exceeded my expectations, and I can confidently say I will absolutely be back. It also earned a place on my list of resorts that I’ll be recommending to my clients. The location is fantastic, the beach is absolutely stunning with little to no sargassum during our stay, and the size of the resort is perfect. It never felt overcrowded, yet there was always something to do. One thing I truly appreciated was that all adults have access to the adults-only section without needing a special bracelet. Everyone is treated equally, and I loved that. The grounds were immaculate every single day. Check-in for our 8-night stay was smooth and welcoming. My recommendation is to make your restaurant reservations as soon as you check in—it only takes a few minutes and saves you from worrying about it later. We originally stayed in Room 664, which had a beautiful view and was very comfortable. We later experienced an issue with the ceiling, and the staff immediately apologized and upgraded us to Corner Master Suite 676. They handled everything professionally and even offered several room options to ensure we were happy. The suite was breathtaking, with a wraparound balcony and incredible views. Their prompt response and genuine concern made all the difference. One feature that truly impressed me was the level of housekeeping service. I’ve never stayed at a resort that offered three separate room services throughout the day: * Housekeeping * Mini bar and snack restocking (which was always full) * Evening turndown service complete with chocolates and slippers placed beside the bed It’s these little details that made us feel truly spoiled. In my opinion, this resort deserves to be rated alongside many higher-end luxury properties because of the incredible attention to detail and service. Now for what truly makes this resort special—the staff. Every single employee greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Please, be kind to them and tip when you can. They work incredibly hard, often in intense heat, and genuinely care about every guest. A few people who deserve special recognition: * Raúl, near the entrance ramp, welcomed guests back from the beach or pool with warm towels, helped rinse the sand from your feet, and always greeted everyone with kindness. Such a thoughtful touch that sets this resort apart. * Erika at the front desk was always warm, welcoming, and accommodating. * Jorge, at the buffet entrance, always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had our favorite outdoor table. * Liliana, at the buffet, makes the freshest tortillas and quesadillas, and yes…she always has the bacon ready…just ask her for it. * Marco, at the lower-level bar, makes the absolute best Palomas using Maestro Dobel tequila. Don’t leave without trying one! He became a friend and we could not wait to have our evening night caps at his bar. * Angel, at the pool bar, was always friendly and attentive. They work so very hard. * Gilberto, serving the pool area, works incredibly hard making sure guests always have drinks and food. His work ethic is amazing. Also became a friend. * Elizabeth, serving the beach, deserves so much recognition. Walking through the sand and heat all day delivering food and drinks is no easy job, and she does it with a smile. * Chef Rodolfo, at Contoy, prepared one of the best seafood soups I’ve ever had. He came out to greet us and I just had to say what talent he had. He explained that he studied culinary in NY. The coconut shrimp and seafood fettuccine were outstanding. * Carolina, also at Contoy, provided wonderful service and made every meal even more enjoyable. * Edgar, our hibachi chef, was entertaining, engaging, and incredibly attentive to guests with food allergies. * Diego, at the Steakhouse, provided excellent service. * Monica, also at the Steakhouse, was kind enough to ask the chef for the chipotle sauce recipe after I mentioned how much I loved it! * Marconi, from the jewelry boutique in the lobby, took the time to explain the beautiful handcrafted jewelry created by designers from Guadalajara. Learning that each design is one of a kind and never duplicated made the experience even more special. Now…the food. Wow. Everything we ate was exceptional. Some favorites: One of the highlights of our stay was Mexican Night on Monday. What an incredible way to kick off our vacation! The authentic Mexican buffet was beautifully presented, featuring an impressive variety of traditional dishes, fresh ceviche, and flavors that truly showcased Mexico’s rich cuisine. The live cultural performances and mariachi were absolutely spectacular and made us appreciate the country’s traditions even more. Watching everyone come together while enjoying freshly made churros straight from the fryer created such a memorable atmosphere. Everything was vibrant, authentic, and so thoughtfully done. After experiencing that first evening, I knew we were in for an amazing week. * The seafood soup, coconut shrimp, and fettuccine at Contoy. * The pineapple dessert with Havana Rum from the Steakhouse was absolutely unforgettable. * The fresh ceviche and shrimp at the daily Cevichería. * The Al Pastor tacos from the taco stand (don’t miss them when they’re there!). The burgers and wings ordered at the pool area were just perfect. * The chicken Parmesan and tiramisu at the Italian restaurant. * The lobster tacos and black onions as an appetizer. May not sound appetizing but wow they were absolutely amazing at the beachfront seafood/taco restaurant. * The Mexican restaurant, where we celebrated my daughter’s birthday. Although we missed the mariachi that evening, the fish with salsa crema and tacos were phenomenal, and the atmosphere was beautiful. * Even the coffee and ice cream café was excellent. The gelato flavors—Piña Colada, Banana Split, and Mint—were absolutely delicious. Although I personally didn’t order room service, my family did several times. They said it arrived quickly, was still hot, and tasted great. The menu isn’t huge, but everything they ordered was enjoyable. By the end of our vacation, we honestly didn’t want to leave. We felt so well taken care of and truly spoiled from beginning to end. Thank you to the entire team for making our vacation so memorable. Incredible experience with charismatic Chef Iván and his masterful grill skills. Delicious food

Resort was great. The best part was the cleanliness and staff! Even during a busy week, we were very well attended to by everyone. Absolutely everyone at the restaurants were great. The best was the breakfast buffet staff. There was a woman making eggs on a grill outside and I saw her Wednesday and Thursday (7/22,23). She was so fast and efficient and very very nice. I regret not getting her name. Salvador attended us all 3 days were there in the morning. Even when he wasn’t in our section, he came to check on us when he recognized us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would come back just for the staff experience again. The only drawback was when we checked in. Our butler was great but we had to make immediate dinner reservations for the duration of our stay. The front desk had explained this and then the girl at the reservation desk explained it a second time within 5 minutes. After giving us the breakdown, we told her our preferences and both restaurants were already booked. It was annoying that we had just walked in after traveling most of the day and were already being bustled around only to not be able to reserve where we wanted to eat. But Diego told us to try what we wanted anyway in case of a no show and that worked! The steakhouse was the BEST

The Grand Fiesta Americana - Coral Beach is phenomenal! 10/10 would recommend! From the moment we arrived, Eduardo at Check-In made us feel so important and special. Lillian in Sales stepped up next and made sure we got our dinner reservations made. She was so kind and friendly every day when we saw her. The pools are amazing — we spent most of our time at the Adult Only Pool. SO PERFECT! Carlos & Fernando were spectacular bartenders at the swim-up pool bar and truly helped us have the vacation of a lifetime. Rene was one of several personal waiters who also made the experience memorable. (I wish I could remember all their names). But OH! I can’t forget Ivan… who treated us like rockstars the entire time - always finding us the perfect spot in the shade, with towels in hand, to set up camp poolside for the day! I will say, the service we received at Isla Contoy (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) was outstanding! Alberto always had a smile and a warm greeting… like we were old friends. The gentleman manager was also a highlight! He worked his butt off and had a “whatever it takes” attitude. The girls at the Coral Cafe were always on point — making us coffee whenever we needed a boost. But the Adult Only “Lobby Bar” was the place to go for late night Espresso Martinis! One last highlight I must share: the Havana Steakhouse was ridiculously good! The food was FIRE and the service was excellent! (Loved the Hibachi restaurant as well). Ok, I’m done, LOL. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough… for many reasons, but mostly for how friendly and accommodating the staff is. Thank you for giving us the experience of a lifetime!

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back! This was such a relaxing family vacation, and the resort exceeded our expectations. Our group was mostly adults with one 15-year-old, and it was a great fit for us. One of my favorite things about this resort was the layout. It’s large enough to offer plenty of restaurants, pools, and activities, but everything is conveniently close together. We never felt like we had to walk forever to get anywhere, which made the entire stay so enjoyable. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Alex took excellent care of us at the beach and pool, and Jose made every breakfast enjoyable with his friendly service. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent, and I was especially impressed with how quickly we were served at the restaurants. At many all-inclusive resorts, dinner can take a long time, but here the service was consistently fast. The entertainment was also much better than I expected, and I really appreciated having an adults-only pool as an option. I also loved the thoughtful touches, like being greeted with a warm towel and slippers when returning to the lobby after spending the day in the sun. It was such a nice touch that I haven’t experienced at other resorts. Our room stayed nice and cold, which was a huge plus in the Cancun heat. My sister’s room had a humidity issue at first, but the staff quickly brought in a dehumidifier, and that completely solved the problem. There was some seaweed during our stay. The resort did a great job cleaning it up on the beach, but there was still some in the ocean, which is something they can’t really control. The water was still beautiful, and once you swam past the seaweed, it was very enjoyable. A couple of small suggestions: it would be nice to have a true hot tub instead of just the warmer pool, and I think having a second person at the omelet station during breakfast would help keep the line moving a little faster. If you’re staying here, definitely try the La Jolla drink—it became one of our favorites! The resort also never felt overly crowded, even though it was busy. My one tip for future guests is to reserve your pool chairs early if you have a favorite spot, as they fill up fairly quickly. Overall, we had an amazing trip with great food, outstanding service, beautiful views, and quality time with family. We left feeling relaxed and would absolutely stay here again.
