Staying at the Royal Cancun is always paradise. Quiet, beautiful during the holiday season and has good service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful!

We were a little concerned when we walked in and there was no grand foyer or view of the ocean. But once we were shown to our 2 bdrm villa facing the beach our concern went away. Very nice and very Clean rooms provided. Everything you need is on property. I think the resort should put up signage to tell guests which direction to go … restaurants, lobby, pool, towels …It is a maze and nothing made sense. Until after a few days. The towels should be closer to everyone who needs them and not tucked away in the furthest corner of the resort. The food was great at every restaurant. I just wished they would add specials or change up the menus. But we enjoyed it

The villas and property of this resort are amazing. Some of the staff there are lovely. But there are a few things that would prevent us from staying here again. First - the beach/ocean is not good. The chairs/umbrellas and sand are great - even a volleyball net. But there is growing sea grass in the water that you have to wade through and the water is not blue or clear. There is a ton of jet ski, catamaran, ferry traffic very close to the swimming area that makes the water dirty. Also - even though were were part of the all inclusive package, we had to provide our room keys to all bars, waiters, restaurants. Very frustrating and irrational. Pools great, pool bar nice, food and beverages overall good. But too many negatives for us to return.

We stayed at The Royal Cancun from the 20th to the 25th, and while we absolutely loved the overall look of the resort, the services, and especially the Kids Club (truly the highlight of our stay!), our experience at the in-house restaurant La Palapa left us extremely disappointed. For an all-inclusive package costing thousands of dollars, we expected a seamless and welcoming experience. Unfortunately, the attitude and treatment we received from the restaurant staff — including some waiters and even the manager — was repeatedly unpleasant. Despite requesting something as simple as a banana for my 10-month-old infant, we were told every single day that it was “only for the kitchen,” or “only available during breakfast,” and often “not available at all.” It felt unreasonable and unnecessarily rigid, especially when you are traveling with a baby. On one morning, we couldn’t finish our bread and butter and simply requested a takeaway box. We were refused and told that we were “not allowed to take food outside.” Even after explaining it was for my kids, the answer remained no. Ironically, when we called room service later, the same items were immediately arranged without any issues. There were also instances where we felt rushed while eating, and the staff often served us with expressions that made us feel unwelcome. At one point, we were even told rice was not available well before closing time, and only after raising a complaint was it suddenly made available. Overall, while everything else at the resort was pleasant, our repeated negative encounters at La Palapa made us feel uncomfortable, judged, and in some moments even discriminated against. For the price we paid, this is the last thing we expected. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because The Royal Cancun is a beautiful property with great potential — but the restaurant staff’s behavior, lack of courtesy, and dismissive attitude deeply impacted our stay. We left feeling extremely unhappy with how we were treated. Thank you

AMAZING RESORT AND SERVICE!!! We had the friendliest interactions throughout our stay, from the waiters in the restaurant to the maids to the concierges. The entire staff always had smiles on their faces and were willing to help us enjoy our vacation. Besides the service, this hotel was absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking view. Our family loved the two pools as well as the beach access right across of our rooms. The hotel provided many activities, a gym, a convenience store, a gift shop, sports facilities, and more perfect for family visits. We were also very satisfied with the cleanliness.
