This hotel has splendid rooms and facilities however the staff are overwork and probably underpaid but above all for a so-called palace this place is totally understaffed..... Room service for breakfast took 20-30mins which is okay but dinner one night took 1 hour and 40 minutes with an excuse that the lifts weren’t working. I have been staying here for at least 30 years and this time I was given a suite on the side with no sea view and a noisy side street downstairs. The maid service was friendly and excellent. The food in the room was delicious and cooked perfectly. I advise you to eat in your room with room service because the chef is most definitely not the same average chef who does the over cooked fish and dishes in the Fouquets restaurant downstairs. The bar at night is a busy place during the events and a pickup place with plenty of foreign women looking for a “date” BTW If you want to go for a swim during the day you are obliged to go through the restaurant and be in full view of all the restaurant customers while you exercise Not a very discreet pool for the shy.....

This is a really great 5 star hotel. Superb accommodation- great technology- great service and amazing breakfasts.. Can't fault it and really terrific location right on the Croisette. We had a weekend with Secret Escapes - GREAT VALUE,! The staff were so nice and helpful and the hotel although very grand has a lovely atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. Great Management here and it shows. Will definitely be back and with Secret Escapes!! Only had breakfast so can't comment on the restaurants.

I went to the majestic recently for my 17th birthday and couldn’t of wished for any better, when we got to the hotel concierge insisted on taking our bags up to our room whilst we checked in, then at check in due to it being my birthday the staff said they had a surprise they had upgraded us to the junior prestige suite with a balcony! Bruno from reception was ever so helpful in showing us around the hotel and our room as were all of the staff, the staff were very attentive and welcoming, as was this superb hotel. I was greeted with a knock at the door shortly after being shown to my room and a member of staff had brought in a cake and some chocolates for my birthday! We also had breakfast included (€44PP) which included a varied selection of delicious fresh foods and also included champagne! Everything about my stay was amazing, the service was second to none, the friendliness and how much I felt welcome and at home each and every day was just incredible. I could not have wished for a better birthday and I am looking forward to returning to the majestic very soon.

I have just returned from this hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel and location are beautiful, but even the nicest of buildings can be spoiled by the staff which work in them. Luckily the staff in this hotel were brilliant. From the greeting we received when we first pulled up in out taxi, to the staff on the check in desk, the concierge staff, the lovely little cleaner who we met on day one when we entered our room (750) and everyone else we encountered. They are a credit to the hotel. I'm aware of some of the clientele the hotel deals with, especially during the Cannes film festival, but we were treated as importantly as any other guest. On arrival we were upgraded after the hotel realised it was an anniversary visit. The room we were given was lovely, large with a balcony with gorgeous view over the sea. This hotel was fabulous. We had some mail we took to the concierge, asking about stamps, but no bother at all, he took the mail of us and assured us it would be stamped and posted. Yes the spa was having work done, it happens, but my husband was given access to a spa with steam room and sauna in a 5* hotel a short walk away, which he assured me was fine. However the spa was back up and running yesterday and he got to use that, he was massively impressed. Especially with the snow shower. He loved it. All I can say is If I could afford it I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. We usually stay in Nice, but our stay in Cannes was made all the more memorable by staying at this hotel. Loved every minute of it! Well done all at the Hotel Barriere Le Majestic.

The location is very good. The restaurants of the hotel are ok, could be better the food. The hotel is very beautiful and has a great view. The staff were nice. We order breakfast at the room, didn't like the quality of the food.
