Reviews for Majestic Barrière Cannes
Lovely Hotel came here during the Cannes Film festival it was my first time I'd love to return! It's a Beautiful hotel, location is perfect right on the seafront ! Nice Staff perfect for your stay in Cannes
On arrival I was told I still had 50% of the cost to pay when I had already paid in full with Expedia. The receptionist completely embarrassed me in front of a line of people and basically accused me of lying. She eventually realised I had indeed paid in full. No apology given. My room was not ready yet so I asked for the hotel to call me when I could access the room. They didn't call me. I went back to reception 6 hours later, my room was ready and I queried why they had not called me, they said they were too busy - didn't look like that when I counted 6 staff standing around doing nothing. Again no apology given. I expressed I was not impressed with my initial first impressions, the manager came out and patronised me and again shrug of the shoulders no apology. The next day we decided to have breakfast in the hotel, ordered poached eggs - had to wait in excess of 40 minutes. In the end we walked out. Simply not good enough. We made a reservation with concierge for dinner that evening who promised a confirmation that evening - guess what no confirmation. I had to chase them. The beach club is also a joke. They have no manners and certainly have no understanding of customer care. Having travelled the world extensively I can safely say do not waste your money or your time visiting this hotel. A complete let down. The location is perfect and the rooms are nice but the staff are rude, their customer service is appalling, and their attention to detail is poor. They can't even clean away dirty towels and empty glasses from around the pool. They are left sitting there. Feeling very disappointed - expected a lot more from this hotel. If you don't look like you're a millionaire then they treat you like your second class. Perhaps the saying don't judge a book by its cover is not known in France??

The location is perfect and area is very good area but what you get from hotel , is not what you pay. If you book sea view room, you will get 1% sea view , they are not honest with you and if you claim, no one answer you. Sea view room is like city view but you pay 200 euro more for noting per night ! If you want to use hotel beach, you should pay again ! You book 500 euro per night but they asked you to pay for the beach. Hotel pool is too small and always noisy, they have resturant in front of the pool and you can not relax in the pool. In general , I will not come again and recommend to my friends to use this hotel.

Nice hotel with beautiful gardens and also a nice swimming pool area. Simbol of French grandeur. Nice rooms even if a bit old style. Nice conference rooms. Gym well equipped. Good quality food. Very prompt service.
