With its brilliantly white Art Deco-style façade anno 1923, storied Majestic Barrière Cannes epitomizes French Riviera luxury lifestyle along tony Boulevard La Croisette. Located across from the red-carpeted Palais de Festivals, where Hollywood A-listers strut their stuff during the famous film festival, the hotel Grand Dame wows guests with an expansive lobby dominated by dramatic champagne-colored columns, twinkling chandeliers and polished antiques-furnished seating areas. 265 brightly elegant rooms occupy a total of 7 floors and sleek dark-hued furniture is smartly balanced with crimson splashes and eye-catching floral images in gilt frames. Rooms provide must-have gadgetry like Bose iPod docks, wireless Internet access, plus flat-screen televisions, and, for the no-delay pick-me-up in the AM, Nespresso machines are on hand. Black marble-clad bathrooms show off equally dapper design and are kitted out with separate bathtubs and showers as well as bespoke toiletries.

What stood out most was the level of care and attention from the entire team, especially Lorenzo and Fiona, who went above and beyond to make our experience feel personal and seamless. Every member of staff we encountered contributed to an atmosphere of genuine warmth and professionalism. The hotel also kindly accommodated our special request for a beautifully allocated room with a sea view, and every detail in the preparation was flawless — it made a very special occasion feel unforgettable. From service to setting, everything felt polished, elegant, and effortlessly well-executed. We left with nothing but appreciation and would not hesitate to return. A memorable stay in every sense.

We recently stayed at the Barrière Majestic Cannes, having previously enjoyed stays at the Barrière properties in Le Touquet and Monte Carlo. There is much to admire about this hotel. The location is exceptional, with stunning sea views and easy walking access to Cannes' restaurants, shops, and attractions. Our room overlooking the Mediterranean was beautiful, and both the breakfast offering and dinner in the recently renovated dining room were excellent. However, there were several aspects of our stay that fell below expectations for a hotel of this calibre and price point. Although our room benefited from a wonderful sea view, the bathroom was surprisingly small, particularly the shower enclosure. It was the smallest hotel shower I have encountered, and it was extremely difficult to shower without water escaping onto the bathroom floor. The design appears impractical, and I would encourage management to review this issue ( or experience a shower). Removing the bath and extending the shower area could significantly improve the guest experience. In addition, the bedroom carpet showed visible stains and appeared in need of deep cleaning or replacement. The corridor leading to our room also felt dated and tired compared with the otherwise luxurious image of the property. Another disappointment was the pricing of the beach club sunbeds for hotel residents. The lowest rate available was €95 per person per day. As a family of four, this would have added almost €400 per day to our stay, which felt excessive given that we were already hotel guests. Guests should also be aware that a substantial security deposit is taken at check-in on a per-room, per-night basis. This was not immediately clear to us when checking in for two rooms, and some advance communication regarding this policy would help avoid confusion. Having experienced several Barrière properties, I would say that Le Touquet remains our preferred destination. It feels more intimate, is exceptionally well maintained, and offers a warmer overall atmosphere. Overall, while the Majestic Cannes enjoys a magnificent location and many excellent features, there are aspects of the guest experience that could be improved to better reflect the premium rates charged.

This is a large and iconic hotel on the famous Cannes Croisette. It is extremely centraly located and we walked everywhere. The service was really exceptional and we thank everyone for their kindness. We enjoyed the room with balcony overlooking the sea and found it clean and comfortable. We would suggest that the hotel offer high quality cotton blankets because even thought it was not very hot outside we found the duvet stuffy and overly dense. Even with the AC on 18 degrees it was too warm. We also felt the pillows could be improved. The breakfasts were excellent and on a lovely outdoor terrace. Our spa treatments were high quality. The swimming pool gets shallow very quickly and we thought the charges to sit on the beach were exorbitant. It would be far better to include this service for hotel guests or provide this service at a far lower cost. The steam and sauna were out of action during our stay. We hope to stay there again. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the Majestic in early May to accompany my elderly mother on a nostalgia holiday to the Cote d'Azur (me 57, Mum 82). The Majestic is in a great location. Obviously it's on the Croisette and very close to the Palais des Festivals and the old port. You're 5-6 mins walk from all the restaurants on and around Rue Hoche, 5 mins from the shops on Rue d'Antibes and 6-7 mins walk from the train station (trips to Nice, Monaco etc). We booked two interconnecting 'Prestige Sea View' rooms. I booked early and was successfully able to request rooms on a higher floor for the better sea view, which turned out to be wonderful (545 and 546). The rooms didn't have a sofa, only two comfy chairs, but we didn't mind that. Concierge and front desk service were efficient. We dined at Ciro's one night - see separate review. We didn't dine at Fouquet's because the menu didn't appeal but the bar looked like a very nice venue for pre or post dinner drinks. Overall, I would recommend and would certainly go back.

My stay at Hôtel Le Majestic Barrière Cannes was nothing short of outstanding. Thanks to my Leading Hotels of the World booking, I was graciously upgraded to a fabulous room with a stunning beach and pool view, which immediately set the tone for a truly special stay. The hotel embodies refined luxury in every detail from the beautiful interiors to the impeccable service. Waking up to views of the Mediterranean and the hotel’s elegant pool was an absolute pleasure. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and perfectly comfortable. Le Majestic’s location is unbeatable, right on La Croisette, the best and most iconic street in Cannes. Everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still feels like an exclusive oasis. Overall, this is a true five-star experience and a benchmark for luxury hospitality. I would highly recommend Le Majestic Barrière to anyone looking to experience Cannes at its very finest, and I would happily return.

At the Majestic Barrière in Cannes, the accommodations were no less than spectacular! The room was very large, nicely appointed, and had a side view of La Croisette. There were fireworks at night over the bay, with all the yachts from places all over the world, below. A fabulous honeymoon we will never forget.
