Reviews for Majestic Barrière Cannes
Booked a two night deal for an early birthday celebration. At check-in, the lady smiled and said she had a surprise - they had upgraded us to a junior suite! It was fabulous, with a sea front balcony and a HUGE bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and included champagne! We ate in the restaurant on the second night and had a great meal. All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and professional. We had an amazing and relaxing stay and would love to return.

An outstanding residential location for the guests in a wedding. The hotel was taken over for the wedding guests for three days- and we were on of the guests. The hospitality and attitude of the hotel was superlative and cannot be faulted. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. I remember asking on of then waiters for something different and then apologised for the trouble- his response was ‘ it is no bother at all and consider this home’ totally floored me - very impressed. The hosts were more than generous in their hospitality - all in all a memorable experience.

This hotel offers a great location with incredibly friendly staff, all of whom are both welcoming and obliging. However - we booked this hotel on account of the opportunity for 'daily spa access' including pool/sauna etc. On check in we were told these facilities were closed but if we wanted a massage in our room this could be arranged. We immediately expressed discontent and were told the manager would contact us. Our travel provider also contacted the hotel on our behalf and the only consolation we were given was that we could walk to a neighbouring hotel to use their facilities - which were not as good. The hotel manager only telephoned us literally an hour after we checked out claiming to have made efforts to contact us during our stay - quite frankly an incredible suggestion given they reached my mobile post check out (both by phone and email) and yet no messages were left either in our room or on my phone/email during the entire stay. Some of the worst customer service at a management level and clearly a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Such a shame given how hard the rest of the staff work. Needless to say we won't be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.
I love old world hotels and excellent service and Majestic meets this on many levels. Reception: Friendly, helpful, and informative Concierge: Perfect on every level. They really do go out of their way! Rooms: I asked to be away from the road works and I was given a large room on the 7th floor. Perfect! Room: spacious, excellent bed, desk, coffee and tea making facilities, well stocked mini bar. Bathroom: Separate toilette, bath and separate shower. Breakfast: It is amazing if you make use of the off menu items! Champagne (didn't have but was there) , soup, fruit, salad, sushi, eggs (*any way) plus more. I ordered poached eggs and spinach every morning. Divine My issues: Housekeeping 1. Having paper tea/ coffee cups is so bad for the environment, However, they didn't replace them so often I was using espresso cups for tea. 2. There was either lots of bath, shampoo toiletries, or nothing. There was nothing for the salon douche when I arrived. 3. No glasses for the mini bar. I wanted the 42 Euro wine in the mini bar but there was no glasses to drink it from . So I went without

We were guests at this Hotel attending an Indian wedding, so Im not sure of value for money etc. but as a luxury traveller we'd have happily paid top dollars for this hotel, which is situated on prime location, and with most rooms with balconies and excellent views. The Views form the rooms not facing the sea are also excellent from the higher floors. We were part of a group of 600 people all high maintenance, but the hotel staff were there on the beck and call. I have seen less busier hotels unable to cope but I can truly say the hotel staff were all absolutely brilliant, right form checking in bus loads to providing the support to guests guiding them from one function room to another. The restaurant staff also coped extremely well organizing lunches for the entire crowd, albeit the caterers were called in from London and used to the size of crowds. All in all, its about the service and I could find no fault.
