I am hardly ever satisfied with hotels, but in this case there is no material weakness to be mentioned. Staff is extremely attentive, helpful and polite. I have not witnessed a single moment of irritation or stress, only smiles and can-do attitude. I felt extremely welcome and taken care of at all times, like if all staff members had been disciples of Monsieur Gustave of The Grand Budapest Hotel. To go from very close to perfect to absolutely perfect, management may consider improving the breakfast admission process, which is slow and a bit clumsy. Moreover, when we checked out, I asked whether I could leave a tip in a shared pool for the benefit of all staff members, but I was told that such a pool does not exist, and that it was not possible to leave tips via credit card. It would be nice and fair to the staff members if management made such tips possible. In any case, I would like to thank management and staff for this world-class customer experience. I hope to be back very soon.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel in one of their large suites with a panoramic view of the ocean. It was truly incredible and unforgettable! When we arrived to the hotel, the moment we entered the lobby it was pure luxury. The only thing I wish I asked the manager while there was what the air freshener was in their lobby area. It smelled so beautiful that I would have loved to have in my home! It was a very distinct scent and I hope to find out what it was that they use in the hotel lobby to make it smell so amazing! Will be staying here again and again with each visit to Cannes! Thank you Hotel Barriere Le Majestic Cannes

By charging €11 for a small plastic bottle of still Evienne water from the mini bar a hotel is drawing a line in the Côte d'Azur sand which says we are the very best. Sadly I left feeling the Majestic was making promises they can't quite deliver on. We arrived a little after 2.00pm and waited to be seen at check in. Our room wasn't ready so we were told to sit in reception and wait until 3.00pm. I did say we were hoping to go to the Yacht show but it fell on deaf ears. Were it me I would have suggested we look after your carry on luggage, offered somewhere to freshen up, and then sent us out to the show placing said cases in the room when it became available. But no, we were made to wait. The room it's self was a decent size, no partial sea view as promised but no matter, it was somewhere to sleep. The sofa was pretty disgusting with various stains and marks. The rest of the room was in good order. In the morning we went down for breakfast to be greeted by a long queue of people. Notwithstanding the fun of watching the world's most beautiful people who clearly are not used to waiting in line try to compete with each other to plead their case as to why they should be next in line we waited our turn. After 15 minutes or so and a couple of trips to see the breakfast receptionist we were ushered in but there was a couple who had been waiting longer than us so I suggested they be allowed in first which they gratefully accepted. The noble art of a British sense of fair play travels with me at all times ! A decent enough buffet spread out over a few areas. They started to clear away things before we had finished as we were delayed entering but I did find a second station for my croissants in another dining area. I mentioned the check in delay and breakfast queue when paying our bill but it was brushed off. We had a quick club sandwich & coffee by the pool before we left (€70 for the 2 of us) which was very tasty and once again service sharp. Ultimately I think the staff do care and there were examples of a seamless service when the concierge team, having stored our cases whilst we went to the Yacht show had them ready in our waiting airport transport. Everyone working in the hotel was polite & friendly. I appreciate this is possibly the busiest couple of weeks for the hotel and so possibly I am being harsh. That said the sofa (in room 768) was not something I would expect in a hotel of this calibre.

We chose this hotel for the position and the appeal: we were definitely not disappointed. The entrance is very impressive and the staff is top notch The position in the heart of the croisette makes it ideal for explore the surrounding If you want to make high fashion shopping, here you cannot go wrong. The only disappointing part was the noise: the window was not closing properly and the loud music kept us up till pass midnight ... not what you expect from a 5-star hotel

Where do you start where nothing went right on your stay . Arrival ... the most incompetent people at the check in.... we had two rooms reserved first we were told they couldn't find the reservation then they found one room half an hour goes by they find the other and we are told that the rooms are not ready mind you this was at 3 PM we receive the first room at 7 PM the second room was ready at 9 PM unfinished people still cleaning while we're trying to change our clothes at 9 PM. Pool or what they call the pool you can basically have a better water pot in your backyard.... filthy no place to sit no one to help. Breakfast 25 minutes to get a cup of coffee with an attitude try asking the waiter to order something and see the kind of attitude you get . The restaurant the fact that you staying at the hotel means nothing no access to the bar or restaurant you have to stand a line and bypass the incompetent host and in appropriate bouncer . I have contacted the hotel twice ....: the best they can come up with is come again and will give you a VIP amenity !!!!! Something any credit card would give you automatically . To put it simple do not go nothing magical about it ...:: Sad and a shame
