Reviews for Majestic Barrière Cannes
Stayed at the hotel for a work convention, possibly one of the most prestigious hotels I've stayed in. Dont have any issues or complaint of any sort with the hotel it was pure class and luxury! Rooms were well kept and had a great view of the Riviera, bar and restaurant down the stairs were very very expensive and priced for the celebrities who come for the film festival more like. Very posh hotel

Really amazing service - especially considering it's in France. I was going to book Carlton or Hyatt but then read the reviews and booked here instead. We arrived by car - parking is â¬45 but hard to get parking elsewhere. We arrived in and the receptionist was lovely - not over the top - not cold - just perfect reception. I thought it was a lovely touch that the receptionist took us up to our bedroom. She explained that we had been upgraded, that they always try to upgrade customers if they can. The room was huge with an amazing bathroom, super comfortable bed, large television and nespresso machine. However it didn't have good natural light or a balcony which its lesser 4 star sister hotel has (Albion). We asked for a late check out "no problem at all". A general attitude of "yes you can, no problem at all" leaves a lovely feeling about a hotel. The negatives were the pool area - only 10 beds always occupied all day by the same people. The pool is beside dinners from the restaurant and there wasn't even anywhere for us to leave our clothes if we wanted to go for a swim. A lovely pool if only there was more space around it and it was easier to use. MIP TV was on, so Warner Bros had taken over our private beach and we had to use the Albion private beach. Again the hotel is not geared towards people who like to swim. We went to the beach but had to pay â¬15 per bed for a half day - all we wanted was to sit around by the beach for a while and have a swim. Nowhere are the costs of the sun loungers etc. on the website or any other material. I think for hotels it would be better if these additional costs parking, sun loungers erc. were clearly outlined before you booked the hotel. I loved Cannes and was surprised by this. The public beaches were lovely and we went for a swim (cold but fresh in early April) here but it shows that the hotel only caters for people who want to sun bath not people who like swimming. Overall - the experience from staff was absolutely excellent and I have never come across that level of service in a hotel before - it would make you want to come back and stay in this hotel again everytime.

Cannot be better located on the croisette. We loved it. Service is incredible. Staff is attentive and profesional. Our room was big and super well equipped. The concierge is great, just pick up everything he says. He knows everything about cannes. Will definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 5 days in April, we were so surprised at how gorgeous and posh and upmarket this hotel was! It was beyond our expectations! Every single member of staff was top class, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel right on the beach front with its own private beach which was gorgeous and super clean and very well maintained. All food and breakfast totally gorgeous, I can not recommend this hotel more highly!

Since the boys were young, it has been a family tradition to take an Easter holiday. For many years, we booked a lovely cottage in Cornwall so that we could go crabbing but sadly the boys became teenagers and a few years ago, said: âMum, no more!â. Last November I stumbled across a holiday to Cannes, staying at Le Majestic for 3 nights in 2 superior rooms with flights included. It was incredible value, so we booked it. Only upon arrival at the hotel did it become apparent that Le Majestic really is a 5-star hotel in a very special location. As a family, we fell in love with Cannes: the old town, the fresh food markets, the bars and restaurants (especially along Rue Hoche), the variety of shops, the sandy beach, and even the anticipation of the Cannes Film Festival. We were seriously impressed with our accommodation - our rooms were just like the hotel website photos. We did not pack our Gucci, Armani and Prada (because we donât own any) but did sport our Ray Bans, Adidas, Zara, Fat Face and Top Man! Never once did we feel (or were we made to feel) that we were in the wrong place; although, in the lift one evening, a guest staying on the 7th Floor commented how âlow downâ we were when we stepped out of the lift at the 5th floor! It made us laugh. On our last morning, I flicked through the Directory in the room and read the welcome letter from the General Manager. The words that leapt out at me were âlâesprit de familleâ and we hope the legend of our hotel "becomes one of your most beautiful storiesâ ⦠the staff were exceptional and looked after our every need with a light and friendly touch, and Le Majestic played a part in our âamour de Cannesâ. I can say nothing more to add to what the previous âexcellentâ reviewers have said. Things we loved about the hotel were the gorgeous reception area with amazing daily display of flowers, plentiful towels at the beach and pool area, the heated pool, the evening bottle of water and the fluency of the English speaking staff. The boys loved the gym too. Actually not everything about our stay was perfect but when we mentioned the issues to either Reception, Housekeeping or the Duty Manager, the problem was dealt with swiftly and with sincere apology. The level of staff training in customer service is exceptional. So thank you to all of the staff at Le Majestic for a wonderful Easter mini-break in Cannes, it was amazing.
