Reviews for Tamarind Beach Hotel & Yacht Club
I stayed here during the summer of 2016. This was the non-peak season so it was virtually empty. However, the staff were extremely friendly and quite accommodating. The rooms are not the most modern, but I think it is inkeeping with the rustic feel of the hotel. That being said the rooms are still well taken care of and are all right along the beach. IT is great to lie in bed and hear the waves along the shore. Restaurant was great, breakfast lunch and dinner were excellent. I would definitely return.

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks and loved it. We stayed in a suite and the wooden walls and shutters gave it a wonderful Caribbean feel. The view was outstanding from the extremely large balcony. The staff including the management and other staff were extremely friendly, and helpful. We had breakfast everyday which was very nice and more than enough to eat. The beach has very comfortable chairs with cushions. Kayaking was very nice. The bay in front has very nice sand, the water was warm and extremely clear. We highly recommend this hotel.

It's quite surprising the negative comments some guests have left about this hotel. These folks have clearly not done their homework! News Bulletin: this is not a luxury, modern resort. This is an old fashioned, 3-star beach hotel. Don't expect anything lavish here. It's got the look and the vibe of an old Caribbean timeshare. The staff though are amazing and know the true meaning of hospitality! We were well taken care of by everyone from the front desk to ground staff to all the restaurant and beach bar staff! Thanks to Marcia who was stellar with communication from start to end! The food too was a welcome surpriseā¦.excellent indeed! The rooms have the old-time jealousies shutters and shuttered wall panels. You can call the style wooden, rustic Caribbean charm! You can tell bathroom upgrades have taken place recently and I bet that air conditioning was added only within the last decade. But there is nothing pretentious here which is actually refreshing! It's just true Caribbean hospitality in a laidback atmosphere in basic rooms and surroundings. It's almost like a hidden secret this little hotel. Lovely shallow clear waters for swimming. Hammocks on the beach to sleep all day long in and beautiful vistas for perfect sunsets. Do you need anything else?! If you're expecting some sort of special experience here, forget about coming. If, however, you just want to get away in an easy casual environment, then you will enjoy your time here. There is no spa, swim up bar or private plunge pools like at the modern Caribbean hotels. Do your homework before going as clearly Tamarind isn't for everybody. If you want those things and the pampered decadence to go with it, then you ought to be staying at the Canouan Resort instead or elsewhere.

This place is amazing. When I stayed here for my aunt's wedding, they were so nice. I loved how close it was to all the action and excitement of Canouan. The beach was wonderful, too. I loved running from a great restaurant called Sea Grapes to the beautiful villa. You will love this place. Try it!

This hotel is the ideal place for a getaway in paradise. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and are an example of true customer service. The food at the restaurants were amazing and our boat driver Angus (Tropical Storm is the name of the Boat) took us to places one only sees in postcards. My favourite part was swimming with the marine turtles. I highly recommend this place!!!!!
