We went for Sunday Jazz Brunch at The Oasis. A fantastic way to spend Sunday morning on the Terrace. They gave me the exact table I requested and for £100 thought we’d gone to heaven £50 a head including bottomless Boschendale Cuvee Rose our favourite lunchtime bubbles. Our waitress was superb Lerona , was her name, Giving perfect service her game!!!!! We had her working her feet off and nothing took the smile off her face. Perfect shallot red wine vinegerette on our 24 oysters tick. Rare lamb and meat cooked to perfection ,tick Chocolate mousse cake with excellent sauce crème anglaise tick An extra jug and toasted almonds, of course. The Jazz superb back to the Village Vanguard with swing after Milt Jacksn a la MJQ, miles Davies exceptional. Thank you, oh and the bill included buying them a drink. A perfect three hours in the sun at a hotel I first stayed at 50 years ago, they still do oysters at an ordinary breakfast buffet as well. We made the most arriving ar 12.00 and leaving at 3.30 pm stuffed, merry, and taste buds agog. Thank you team, but especially Lerona.Sunday Jazz Brunch

Beautiful setting with wonderful food. Thuli was amazing and took special care with my dairy allergy. A highlight was the spiced rooibos ice tea.

We booked in for the afternoon tea and we weren’t disappointed. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon, sat out on the terrace, under the shade, eating sweet delights, while listening to the live piano music. Our host Thuli was so pleasant, friendly and attentive. She was superb. Craig also assisted us with his knowledge of the various teas. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for afternoon tea. It was heavenly. It surpassed expectations.
