Wiseman is a gem. He brought smiles to all our faces and made the experience wonderfully fun and relaxing. We felt very cared for. Craig, the tea sommelier, is a font of knowledge and as tea lovers he guided us with ease. We all experienced new teas and learned a lot as well! Overall a truly relaxing and rewarding experience at the always lovely MT Nelson Hotel!

We had wonderful experience at the afternoon tea there. Huge variety teas are available and the staff is very helpful to navigate the menu. Special thanks to Zodwa who tented to our table. The food and cakes are great too. We highly recommend it

We stayed at the Mount Nelson Hotel for two nights before leaving South Africa, and it was the perfect way to end an incredible trip. Without question, it is the finest hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was warm, gracious, and consistently outstanding. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect, and the concierge team was exceptionally helpful with recommendations and arrangements. Our room was beautiful, spacious, impeccably maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail reflected the elegance and history of this remarkable hotel while still providing every modern comfort. We also had dinner at Veranda, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet sophisticated. It was a wonderful dining experience. The Mount Nelson is much more than a luxury hotel—it is an experience. The beautiful gardens, the peaceful setting, and the exceptional hospitality make it a place you never want to leave. I have stayed in many wonderful hotels over the years, but this one stands above them all. I simply cannot recommend the Mount Nelson highly enough. If you are visiting Cape Town and are considering staying here, don’t hesitate. It is worth every penny, and I hope to return one day.

Wonderful selection of nibbles and a almost overwhelming selection of teas, but our host, Thuli, had great suggestion on what to pair. A lovely celebration of classic high tea.

What a beautiful way to celebrate the life of my mom-in-law who sadly passed away 3wks ago, and we were booked today to share a High Tea experience for her 80th. The tea sommelier, Craig, was so informative and helpful. Cheslyn, our wonderful service ambassador, was very attentive and is a great asset for the hotel. The food...... Savoury sandwiches - egg mayo, cucumber, chicken mayo; mushroom tartlets, salmon on cucumber, cold pea soup, smoked pate on Cape seed loaf. Sweet tarts, cakes, petit fiors and dessert mouthfuls.....too much, but so scrumptious. The tea options.... Over 50 to choose, just too many. Brewed and seeped at your table, from regular Ceylon tea right up to 200yr old Chinese black tea..... Nothing to fault at all. Amazing.
