Belmond Mount Nelson

What an amazing experience. This is my third time enjoying afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson and it is even better than before. Thabisa was a real gem who was so friendly and professional. The tea sommelier was also amazing and gave great advice. We hope to be back again soon.

Had an amazing afternoon high tea here — truly unforgettable from start to finish. The ambiance was calm, elegant, and perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The live pianist added a beautiful touch to the atmosphere and made the experience feel even more special. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with a great balance of sweet and savoury treats. The drinks were just as impressive, from fragrant teas to perfectly made coffees and refreshing juices. Our waiter, Thabisa was friendly and attentive, and both the pianist and the waiter made my mothers birthday extra special by singing for her and even giving her a thoughtful gift. It was such a heartwarming gesture that made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to return!

My High Tea experience at the Mount Nelson was unforgettable, thanks to the outstanding service from Thabiso. From the moment we were seated, she brought a warmth and fun to our experience that made the entire afternoon so lovely. Thabiso was incredibly knowledgeable about the teas and treats, offering great recommendations. Her timing was perfect and what stood out the most was her kindness and ability to make us feel truly welcomed and cared for. The Mount Nelson’s High Tea is already special, but our experience was made so much more. I loved celebrating my friend’s birthday there with her. I’ll definitely be returning, and I’ll be hoping to see Thabiso again! (Also listen to Craig because he’s always right)

Our server, Thabiso, was kind and accommodating as soon as we were seated at our table. She was extremely attentive and helpful, and checked on us regularly to ensure that we were comfortable. She took the time to explain each dish with deep knowledge and this elevated the entire experience. I would definitely return.
