Brilliant service great food and fabulous view. Decadent sweet buffet. Great infusion teas. Salt platter to die for and awsome scones and home made strawberry cream and a fire place. Makes you feel at home

We enjoyed a delicious High Tea in the lovely tea lounge at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Capetown. The tea lounge is furnished in an old fashioned elegant style with comfortable chairs and light green tropical decor. Service was excellent and we enjoyed a delicious selection of fresh tea sandwiches and hot savories. Tea cakes and eclairs were served buffet style. Excellent quality tea - we enjoyed the blooming green tea, darjeeling and English breakfast. A charming and delightful repast - highly recommended.

Old world chairman and excellent service. The Nelson dining room provides exceptional food and setting. There are good restaurants out side the gates so this is a good alternative to going down to the V & A Water front for a change.

Had the privilege of joining the Chef's Table for dinner. It was a unique and awesome experience to dine in the hub of the kitchen. The food was world-class and exceptional. The kitchen staff were attentive, professional and treated us like royalty. HIGHLY recommended!

We had only one night at Mount Nelson because our plane was delayed 24 hours in London. That was such a shame because we thoroughly enjoyed the elegance of the hotel. The staff are professional but at the same time, friendly and above all, happy. The junior suite was so comfortable and the meal in Lord Nelson superb. Breakfast lived up to its reputation as being so extensive a buffet, and beautifully fresh and well laid out.
