Look for another Hotel - there are great alternatives that do have Mountain View’s and lovely pools.
We agree with the other reviewers who feel let down by the Hotel. The photographs provided by the Hotel do not reflect the reality. There are no Mountain View’s, all you can see is a high hedge. Also, the pool pictured is not for the use of most guests, we were shown to a crowded Spa pool and there were no loungers or shade.

Wonderful one night stay at the spacious and elegant Steenberg Estate. Adam and his team provided gracious hospitality. Impeccably manicured landscaping and vineyards with top-notch room, lobby and Tryn restaurant. Staff winery staff generous, informative, and friendly. Ruan helped fix my swing. Walking and mountain biking through the vineyards was scenic and tranquil.

The most beautiful place of Constantia region. We loved every second of our stay, from joyful arrival, until the super friendly check-out. The personnel is super friendly. The dinner was great! The rooms are sooooo beautiful

Amazing golfresort in Constantia - Steenberg Hotel & Spa
We recently stayed 4 nights at Steenberg Hotel & Spa. This is a fantastic property with beautiful views over the grapevines and the mountains. Nothing beats a breakfast at Tryn with this view. The golfcourse is amazing - the best we have ever played! We also tried out the spa and the swimmingpool which was great after a round of golf. You can easily stay here without playing golf too - must be great after or before a safari per example. The winetasting and lunch at the Bistro was a 10 out of 10. We will definately come back. The Steenberg is absolutely beautiful and the staff couldn't have been more gracious, friendly and professional. The food at Cathrina's restaurant was beautifully prepared and the service was exceptional. The property offers lots to do but the staff also gave us the option do using their transportation to visit other wine properties in the area as well as other fine restaurants. Though only 30 minutes from the heart of Cape Town you are truly in the country and away from it all. My wife and I would go back and stay for a week in a heart beat and it is a must on the next visit to South Africa.” L. Faulk

We stayed in the hotel for 5 days. Playing 18 holes on the Steenberg golf course is an experience I'll never miss. So we decided already to go again!

We stayed at the Steenberg Hotel in September. We would very highly recommend Catharina's, the restaurant attached to the hotel. We couldn't find fault the food and service here - wonderful.
